To Begin with,Congratulations on your admission.

You won't know how lucky you are until you see aspirants with higher aggregates than yours who are as at presently have not been compensated with any course(no matter how unpopular it is).

To your question,Both courses(Sociology & Human Kinetics) are not under the same faculty and are not even inter-related whatsoever.So,you won't be able to change after your first year.

As Bobola will often say to people,It's advisable you gladly accept the course now and then re-take UTME this year and re-apply for your desired course in any institution of your choice.

buh i think if someone attends the affiliated colleges they will give someone degree certificate that bears only UI name

I know I'm a little bit harsh here, but it's bad to see people criticize the institution because of their own mistakes.

It's normal to see people like him every year, once they miss admission, they go about shouting how bad ui admission process is.

At least speaking from experience last year with my 72 aggregate I didn't apply for change of course hoping UI will offer me a course, yet I wasn't offered even Zoology , same also Bobola07 who was 0.08 short of his department cut off he was not offered any course.


oldfoolnigger was 1 mark short of the cut off mark yet no admission.


But things have really changed in the last 12 months. I've seen MBBS guys with 68, 69 &70 who didn't applied for change of course offered one of Biochemistry or Physiology. I've seen BDS guys with 65+ not offered admission.


So we were right with our sayings, that's why we adviced aspirants to go for change of course
to be on the safer side.

If you did not, they'll give you another course in college of medicine or vet medicine

No... I had 61.25 as my aggr for Industrial Production Engineering...im still hopeful thou.....I didn't do coc coz I don't see any course that suits me....and portal hasn't change...

hey wow..i dont know but probably you got admitted into your former course because there was still space left. If you know anybody in the admissions office give them a call for them to help you find out. By the way whats your cutoff mark difference as regards ur former course.?

Yes. It's most likely jamb will change it automatically.

If u check previous posts, someone said his course was changed on caps and he's been offered admission.

It's not possible for someone who chose MBBS initially and later did change of course to maybe chemistry to later get MBBS on CAPS. If UI admits d person for chemistry, jamb will change d person's course to chemistry then offer admission.

Thanks guys..ive just accepted admission on caps for wood products engineering ..all tech students that did change of course can assuredly go and check their status on caps now.

1. If UI admits u through the COC, Jamb might automatically change the course for you and the status will be admitted.

2. If it doesn't happen as I described above, UI might admit you into your new course. Then you will have to go to jamb and do change of course, so that jamb will recognise your new admission.

The second one is d way it has been before this year so its unlikely its going to be like that.
Since there's caps now and jamb is monitoring all d admissions, I guess it will follow d first way I explained.
