First off! We no get quality fuel for naija. Secondly is that the same bad fuel would start clogging your engine and exhaust overtime thereby making the engine forcefully breathe and in that case drink more fuel. An engine that breathes very well doesn't drink fuel and some of these cars sef have egr(exhaust gas recirculation) which also clogs up and consumes more fuel...also oxygen sensor,fuel pump and fuel filter whaala
People usually think that catalyst makes your car drink more but na big fat lie sha

All you need to do is pass through the East-West and Benin-Ore Expressways to understand why people like Peter Obi and every other reasonable Nigerian opposed the idea of the Lagos-Calabar Highway 🛣.

Because the reasonable thing would have been to fix our existing roads before embarking on a humongous new one in the magnitude of the Lagos-Calabar highway.

But we seem to have a lot of unthinking humans as our leaders and their supporters.

One political dimension to the Lagos-Calabar coastal Highway is that it will kill the political will and investors motivation to build or develop deep seaport projects in other regions of the country.

The arguments will always be that- if you can move your container by trucks from Tin can, Apapa or Lekki Deep Seaport to anywhere in the country in record time, why spend $2B to build another? This argument doesn't take into consideration the regional development that comes from functional Seaports.

I don't mean to sound tribalistic, but this same subtle economic suppression of other regions is why the Ibom Deep Seaport project has not seen the light of the day. That project is located in Ibaka in Mbo in Akwa Ibom where the natural drought does not need the continous dredging that is required in Lagos Seaports. In 80% of Federal Government's mega economic projects and decisions favours Lagos, I hope indigenous Westerners won't ask why people are leaving other regions to Lagos.

Imagine how relieved Lagos will be if the Ibaka- Onitsha economic corridor is active. And before you blame the State Government, remember that outside investors fundings, 70% of approvals and licensing for Seaports projects come from the Federal Government.

For the Highway project itself, I commend Mr President and the commitment of the Minister of Works, Mr Umahi from Ebonyi.

I think your leaders in Yorubaland deliberately keep you ignorance. When the East was ready to walk out of Nigeria, it was Awolowo himself who stood up and said the East must never be allowed to secede. He knows fully well that Nigeria will cease to exist without the east.

Spain's Government should kindly follow through on the boycott threat when/if Israel punches that WC Ticket. I am sure teams like France, Argentina, Germany and co will be glad to see one dominant competitor out of the way.
