You honestly didn't have to cancel my post. Yes Ike is in love with Mercy and vice versa. But the thing is that Mercy is more versed in these things "here"than he is. Again, giving the circumstances which is the grand prize, Mercy is wary and probably does not believe that he genuinely loves her. This is due to two reasons
1. Ike's wild lifestyle, meaning that she thinks he may not genuinely be emotionally vested.
2. Mercy's lifestyle meaning that she isn't used to lovey dovey shìt.
