It would do the same work as the original Catalyst. The Brand New one can Last for up to 2-3 years while the Tokunbo would last for 5-6 years on Average...

You can remove the Mesh Immediately and the car would still run on an empty pot...

But However, You would experience an unbearable rate of fuel consumption...

My advice is that you remove the Mesh as soon as Possible and replace it as soon as possible...

Overall, it all boils down to you just removing it and avoid the problems it might end up causing

I don't quite have a sound understanding about it, but all I know is that one panel beater removed my own around the engine area and replaced it with meshes.

The earlier that mesh is removed, the Better. The reason is that it starts sending in unpleasant particles into your engine and cylinders and that might in no time cause problems there.

If you check my previous threads, you would see one of the jobs we did where we had to remove same mesh put in there...

Someone Brought his Toyota Sienna for us to work on and here is what we found in the Image....

Before you rush to crucify your mechanic, panel beater or car wash Man, you should realize that Car dealers aren't let off the hook...

Especially cars coming from Cotonou...

They Knock off the main catalytic converter and don't get them replaced instead they stuff it up with This kind of iron nets...

With Time, the net compresses and no longer fills up the pot...

Particles are then sucked into the engine part and the cylinders and problems arise for you...

If you still have a proper catalytic converter intact in your vehicle, then you really have to protect it as much as you can...

As much as possible, never leave your vehicle in the care of just anyone... Except a mechanic or panel beater you trust...

Whichever the case, as much as possible, try to make sure you check if yours has a proper converter and not a net as this one to avoid causing problems in your engine...
