When my wife and I decided to get married we'd been going out for a few years. We really loved each other and we wanted everything to be perfect, and pretty much everything was, except that one thing had been bothering me. Her sister was a babe and many times I visited, she would flirt with me, bending over in front of me, things I didn't want to acknowledge.

Well a couple of nights before the wedding, she called me over to help her with some boxes. She was moving out of her apartment. When I arrived, I found her alone on the couch wearing decidedly little. I was shocked and she explained to me that she'd always wanted me and that it was her final opportunity, as these were my last few days as a bachelor. Well, I didn't know what to do. She told me she would go upstairs and wait and if I wanted to, I could follow her, but if I didn't, I could just leave.

I waited for a moment and then went outside only to find her dad almost in tears with joy saying he knew now that I was really the right man and that I had his blessing to marry his daughter. This was a test to see just how loyal I was!

Some facts i want to share with fellow nairalanders.

Polygamy was not started by muslims as everybody know, rather it was perfected by islam.

No religious scripture asks its followers to marry one wife except the Quran. (The bible never limited you guys to one wife).

In USA, England, Germany e.t.c women are more in number than men, therefore there is an excess of women who need a man. Islam anticipated this problem and provided a solution for it.

You cannot love four wives equally in your heart, and your creator knows that better than you do. Therefore, you are only required to show equal love if you can, if you cannot then you must not marry  more than one wife.

To be a muslim, you have to believe in Adam,Abraham,Moses,Solomon,Ishmael,Jesus  and all the messengers of Allah and what they where sent with.

Islam prohibits the slander and abuse of other faiths and their deities (Quran 6:108).

Islam prohibits killing of innocent people (muslims or non-muslims)(Quran 5:32), so whoever kills innocent people in the name of islam has done wrong.

Islam prohibits the killing of women,children,priests,plants, and non-soldiers in wars.

In conclusion, islam has the solution for all the problems of mankind and it confirms that it is true religion by standing the test of time and withstanding the assault of others. It is reported that in 150 years, 60,000 books were written against islam, i.e approximately one book was written a day against islam for 150 years (time magazine published 16-04-1979). Moreover, the Quran talked about the big bang theory,the geo-spherical shape of the earth, the stages of embryo development e.t.c 1400 years ago when these things were discovered recently. None of the Quranic verses that talk about science have been proven wrong to date.

Therefore i urge my fellow nairalanders to think about these facts and decide for themselves what the true religion is. May Allah guide us and let peace reign in this world.

In al-Saheehayn it is narrated that ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: May Allaah curse the women who do tattoos and the women who have them done, and the women who pluck eyebrows and the women who have that done, and the women who file their teeth for the purpose of beautification, those who change the creation of Allaah. And he said: Why should I not curse those whom the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) cursed?


This hadeeth proves that permanent tattoos are forbidden in islam and people that do the tatoos and those that have them done are cursed.

“Among my ummah there will certainly be people who permit zinaa, silk, alcohol and musical instruments…” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari ta’leeqan, no. 5590; narrated as mawsool by al-Tabaraani and al-Bayhaqi. See al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani, 91).

Shaykh al-Islam (Ibn Taymiyah) (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: This hadeeth indicates that ma’aazif are haraam, and ma’aazif means musical instruments according to the scholars of (Arabic) language. This word includes all such instruments. (al-Majmoo’, 11/535).

For the brother who was asking for a quranic verse, i think you should check the tafseer of Luqman 31:6, in it you will find the prohibition of music.

Therefore, we should stop listening to music and instead listen to the gracious quran which will purify our hearts and help us to gain the Rahma of Allah(SWT).
