TheSuperNerd: This is not true. Adingra was 22 at that Afcon. Did he move to Brighton at 22? Adingra was already balling for Brighton in the 2023/24 EPL before he came up against an injured Aina in early 2024.
He had previously shone on loan at Royal USG in 2022/23 after Brighton acquired him in the summer of 2022 @age 20.
Zadok is 18. Oh ok I thought he made the move in 23/24, still Zadok's representatives should have a similar plan in place |

opes: The same Brighton made similar signing with Simon Adingra and it worked out. Adingra was comfortably cooking Aina at the Nations cup when he made the move they are not on similar levels |

semid4lyfe: 1. I do not think Zadok is that good.
2. The EPL is too much step up in quality from the Swedish league. He will face better and more experienced defenders, better managers, better game play, formations and tactics being deployed by teams to nullify his threat.
3. The guy was basically an amateur footballer in Nigeria about a year ago, and as is typical of home-based players still needs lots of things coached into and out of him.
4. I consider Sweden to EPL as too much of a leap. I'll have preferred Sweden ➡️ Belgium, Sweden ➡️ Netherlands, Sweden ➡️ France, Sweden ➡️ Germany, Sweden ➡️ Spain route for him to develop better as a footballer.
5. The EPL does not develop players. Its a perform or burst league. It will either make or mar him.
Still, as one of ours, I wish him the best and hope he performs well in the league. Yeah the Epl is do or die, he has several stages to reach before getting there |

SPORT2023 WWC: FIFA under fire over decision to pay players directly because of Nigeria’s Super Falcons
Former Super Eagles defender, Sam Sodje, has expressed discontent over comment by Fatma Samoura, Secretary-General of the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), disparaging the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).
NAN reports that Samoura had reportedly told the Super Falcons in their dressing room that FIFA had decided to pay their prize money directly to them rather than through the NFF.
However, Sodje, in a statement signed by him on Wednesday in Warri, said the comment was uncalled for.
“I read with shock, the statement purportedly made by Samoura in the dressing room of the Super Falcons at the ongoing Women’s World Cup.
“A FIFA official need not make this disparaging statement openly because those who were in charge of football administration in Nigeria should have been sanctioned when it noticed it,“ he said.
Sodje said it was disrespectful for her to castigate and implicate Nigeria, a nation that has contributed so much to football, without investigating the genesis of this problem.
“The Federation Secretary should understand that Nigeria, as a country, has very serious and honest sports administrators that can hold their position anywhere in the world.
“What Nigeria and, in fact, Africa need now is encouragement, not castigation.
“FIFA needs to respect Nigeria and Africa because we, as a nation and a continent, have contributed so much to world football and the growth of FIFA as an organisation,” he said |

Update: An Appreciation Post For Ibrahim ' Beji' Muhammad; The Teenager With The Flying Rocket Goal Against Mozambique 🇳🇬🦅
The lad is a delight to watch, his confidence when facing opposition defenders speaks volume.
Against Mozambique, prior to his goal, he collected a pass from defender Solomon Agbalaka, touched the ball once and fired from more an unbelievable distance; giving the Goalkeeper no chance at all.
He's a 🐐 in the making
🚶🏿♂️Go Son; make us proud💪🏿
