Has anyone gotten approval on expired passport

I applied in September 2020 as a group. The person that was tagged with me I mean I did biometric immediately after her and our firm and biometric slip was pinned together and we were told to return the slip when passport is requested.
The girl has gotten BVL on April 4 and got PPR on April 14 . She has gone ahead and submitted her passport but I have not gotten message from them.

I'm very confused.

Canada immigration doesn't have a timeline. All you need to do is continue waiting until you get a passport request later.

Yes I have not gotten Correspondence letter at all.

You may get it on the 12th of this months. 10 days interval.

I Applied September 2020, I have not heard from them at all

Must one receive BVL before update of visa expiry date and others appear on the tracker

I heard one can get a renewal passport fast on osun state. How truth is this.

2. His application was approved even with expired passport . How did IRCC determine the number of years of visa they issued cos I heard the number of years remaining on the passport to expire is the number of years of Visa they issue.

This person applied since 2020 and had given up

Does ircc approve visa application while the passport has expired?

If they do, how do they determine the visa expiry date. Because they would not know whether one has renewed the passport or not.

You applied last year September 2022 and you're giving up, while some persons that applied since September 2020 has not gotten any mail

Biometric completed
Eligibility completed
Background check in progress

My passport has expired since 2021 and I have applied for renewal .

Will this affect my application approval?

It is amazing how an application can take so long and more recent applications are being processed..

Its very funny . I Applied since September 2020 and I'm yet to get correspondence letter.

AOR: 25th February 2023
Biometrics: 2nd March 2023
BVL and PPR: 25th April 2023.

What is AOR

IRRC are on strike. They embarked on the strike in the 19th April 2023 after the the last update on tracker... application process has been halted
I hope the strike doesn't linger.
