Is there a big connection than a national assembly or Presidency?

I know many people who received their documentation calls just days after the Chairman received their CVs. You are right; many National Assembly candidates are still awaiting emails for documentation.

A friend of mine, who is also active on this forum, had his name submitted along with others. Out of 18 people, only seven or so received the email and completed their documentation. He was frustrated and dejected, but he didn't give up. He visited the FIRS headquarters with the help of an aide to the Minister and was assured he would be called.

He managed to get the phone number of the person in charge and kept following up—in fact, I even helped him call the man. Eventually, the official told him to check his email on a specific day and report for documentation. He has been working there since last year. To this day, some people on the same list submitted by the Minister have still not been contacted. I could provide more details, but the person in question might not appreciate it.

My fear regarding the FIRS is that their current recruitment style might lead to overstaffing and future retrenchments, similar to what happened at the CBN. While it seems like a great opportunity right now, I worry about the long-term implications."

"I don't know why people keep asking about this recruitment; the Ministry of Interior is always slow with the recruitment process.

Why not move on? If they release the list and it favors you, then you grab it. Putting one's mind on it only to find your name isn't there when the list is released is always painful.

I remember how Senators, Honorables, and other VIPs were told to submit the names of their candidates. In my mind, I asked: what is the hope of the 'child of nobody' in this great country of ours?

PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS NEW PTDF EXECUTIVE SECRETARY AND RENEWS TENURE OF TCN MD/CEO

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has appointed Professor Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu as the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF). He replaces Ahmed Galadima Aminu, who recently resigned to participate in the 2027 governorship election in Adamawa State.

President Tinubu has also renewed Engineer Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz's appointment as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) for a second and final term.

Both appointments take immediate effect.

Professor Aliyu, the new PTDF helmsman, was, until his appointment, the Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education.

He is a distinguished academic and seasoned administrator with extensive experience in research, education, and institutional leadership. His appointment underscores the President’s commitment to strengthening key institutions in the petroleum sector and advancing capacity development for Nigeria’s energy industry.

The President expects him to leverage his wealth of experience to reposition the PTDF for greater impact in human capital development, innovation, and strategic support for the oil and gas sector in line with national priorities.

President Tinubu renewed Engineer Abdulaziz's appointment following a comprehensive assessment of his performance and leadership of the nation’s transmission network.

Under his stewardship, TCN has recorded notable improvements in grid stability, transmission capacity expansion, and system modernisation, reinforcing its critical role in Nigeria’s electricity value chain.

Engr. Abdulaziz brings over three decades of experience in the power sector and has also strengthened regional electricity integration through his leadership in the West African Power Pool (WAPP).

President Tinubu urges both appointees to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, integrity, and a strong sense of national service, in alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

You are 100% correct as per 13th month & allowances. I was told it's confidential. But you have done justice to it. I can't say if the new salary approved have been implemented. So the 400k salary might be right

The quarterly allowance is your salary multiply by four. You get it every 3months..You can't compare a revenue generating agency with DSS. Though DSS is getting better under the new leadership.

DSS is not predictable under the new leadership. A lot has changed . Kudos to the industrious man at the top.

Regarding call to camp. No one can tell you when it will happen... Finger is pointing to ending of March to 1st week of April but it's a rumour until the call start rolling.

On NPA, do you mean it's after fasting the APL will be issued or they have started ..I always appreciate detailed & credible information

Considering his age & level in life, FIRS is not the place to go. like NCC, NSIA, NIMASA (UK posting), BOI, NNPC, NDIC, NAHCON, NUPRC, MOFI;

You are actually right. But FIRS is now hot cake ooo. As a Manager you are a big man. I don't think BOI, NAHCON is better than FIRS..The aforementioned agencies {Nuprc, MOFI, NDIC, NNPC, Nimasa, Downstream, local content pay better)

According to the information at my disposal, they are expecting increment of salary again. Rejecting FIRS is not really good. As a Manager he won't earn less than 18m to 22m per annual. I pray God will guide him to make the right decision.

This is the best reply for him . He got an offer, he refuse to mention the name of the agency instead saying it was his frd that got it.

Mentioning the name of the agency won't take away his offer letter from him. He is no longer sounding funny. He wants to get information but decided not to disclose name of organization

PRESIDENT TINUBU RENEWS THE TENURE OF ABUBAKAR AUDI AS COMMANDANT-GENERAL OF NSCDC

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reappointed Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi as the Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security & Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for a new five-year term. The reappointment took effect from Friday, February 27.

Dr Audi was first appointed to the position in 2021 by former President Muhammadu Buhari. His initial five-year term ended last Friday as he participated in activities commemorating the 2026 World Civil Defence Day at the NSCDC National Headquarters in Abuja.

He will resume his duties on Monday with a renewed mandate.

President Tinubu charged Audi to reposition the service to play a more significant role in the country's security, especially as the police refocus on their primary responsibility of protecting citizens from bandits, kidnappers, and terrorists.

Dr Audi was born on September 30, 1967, in Laminga Town, Nasarawa LGA, Nasarawa State. After his early education in the state, he attended Teachers’ College in Jengre, Plateau State, where he obtained a Teachers’ Grade II Certificate in 1987.

He further attended the College of Education, Akwanga, earning the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in 1992. Driven by a thirst for knowledge, he went to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Physical and Health Education in 1995.

In 2001, he earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Calabar. He obtained a PhD in Public Administration from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, in 2014, and a Master’s in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice (MLCJ) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 2019.

Dr Audi joined the NSCDC in November 1996 as a volunteer and was deployed as a Divisional Officer in Obi Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, after completing his basic officer training in 1997.

He served in various state commands and, in 2007, was promoted to the rank of Commandant of the Corps and subsequently deployed to the office of the Commandant-General at the National Headquarters in Abuja.

At that time, I was in their command, to see a friend , he was just laughing when I told him, that someone said SIO don't earn up to so so amount..

Because smartkester wants to feel relevant on this space, he must put mouth in every discussion ..Hope you no the slogan of DSS , keeping our secrets secret, probably he knows the salary of a junior officer....

I beg you in the name of God, do you findings well. With all allowances, DSS salary for entry is never up to 300k. Quote me anywhere. And if you want a redacted payslip I can send to you. These are facts with evidence.

DSS Salary for entry level is 265k and they pay you 30k by mid month as allowance. That's total of 295k. But the main salary is 265k. They've received two months salary this year and no such thing as increment or any allowances yet. We need to calm down with the false hopes we raise here all the time

This is not completely accurate... It is more than 295k. Peculiar allowance is more than 30k ...I can't discuss DSS salary on this faceless forum , eagle's eye is watching ... All the best...
