iwuchukwu1:
Good day house, my name is Jeffrey
Last week I requested for student visa application, and got my reply (interview date) but with a small problem, they said they won't accept my Verpflichtungserklärungs (proof of financial means ) because it's older than 3months, and that I should tell my sponsor to request for another one before the interview which is just next month. ...... Now I have questions
1: why did they reject it after just 3months? I thought it lasts 6months at least
2: the first time my sponsor applied for it, it actually took 3weeks for them to issue it, will it take another 3weeks this time? Cus I don't have upto 3weeks to get another one
So I really need to know if there's anyone that has had this type of experience with the Verpflichtungserklärungs, and how long it took to get it the second time?
Please anybody? cry

Answer to Ur question 2

The conversation Formular:

3 × (Nmax - Nd)/Nmax - Nmin + 1
So in Ur case,

According to my institution
Nmax = 5
Nmin = 1

Where Nd = CGPA = 3.6

Therefore

3 × [(5 - 3.6) / 5 - 1] + 1

3 × [1.4 / 4] + 1

3 × (0.35) + 1

1.05 + 1 = 2.05

So Ur CGPA in German scale is 2.0

So U are good to go.

To the best of my knowledge as downloaded from a german skull application portal in M.S Excel format
Nice explanation bro,,,that means it does not necessarily need to be 2.5 as stated on the requirements or whathuh Because they said a German grade of 2.5 or higher...please bro I just want to be sure

TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Successful111: 1:19am On Feb 24, 2017
Good day to all,,please my brothers/siss,,,i would need your answers on what i am about to explain..
I want to apply for the winter semester of RHEIN WAAL university of applied sceince Msc Economics and finance..but i am quite confused with what i saw as the requirements of application..I already have a ''Bsc Degree Economics and Statistics UNIBEN upper class'' and this was what i saw as d requirements.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS;
Please note that for Master's degree programmes, English language skills at level B2 are required. Please be aware that all applicants' test report form numbers will be checked.
Please check the university web page for details.
The following certificates are accepted:
IELTS: 6.0 - 6.5
TOEFL (Internet-based test): minimum 80
TOEFL (paper-based test): minimum 550
TOEFL (computer-based test): minimum 213
The TOEFL code of our university is: 6962
The only exceptions to these language requirements is the achievement of a Bachelor's degree taught in English.
Please note: From the summer semester 2017 onwards, English language skills at level C1 are required.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS; German entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or equivalent
(http://anabin.kmk.org/) and a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) related to economics and finance with a German grade of 2.5 or higher or an ECTS grade of A or B

Now these are my questions please,,,,
(1)for the language Requirement, since i already have my Bsc of which all its courses were taught in English,, does it mean i do not need to sit for any of the above ''Test of English language as foreign language''?

(2)Academic Requirements,,like i said i have a Bsc on Economics and Statistics from University of Benin (Uniben) upper divission 3.62 as CGPA..I do not know if this is up to a German grade of 2.5 or higher or an ECTS grade of A or B ....lastly i have no idea on how to get the German entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or equivalent, since it was slated on the Academic requirement which most be added to my Bsc degree...

she needs to earn a certain threshold i think about €1500 for her application to even be considered and the required documents which she will be asked to provide by the auslanderbehorde helps them make this assessment and she needs to be of good character as well as she will be taking full responsibility for your affairs all of these will be assessed by the auslanderbehorde before granting the letter. so in essence her monthly earnings and social status is what matters and not necessarily having €8K in her account.
Thanks my brother...please can I get your what's app number or Facebook id,,i want to chat with you Bro please...help me man
TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Successful111: 2:38am On Feb 20, 2017
Please I have a similar issue too,,i have a lady in Germany who is willing to stand as a sponsor for me,,she is a citizen too,,,but my question is this,,does she need have the same 8k euro in her account over there in Germany?? Or what?? Please help me with any info you have on this,,god bless you Bro..
badtboi:
Ask your sponsor to visit the Auslanderbehorde in the town or city they reside in, he/she will be duly advised of the required documents to process the Proof of Sponsorship (Verpflichtungerklarung) for about €25.
Saying you did not find adequate info on this issue in the thread is a bit of a stretch don't you think.

Thanks my friend...I understand now...God bless you Bro
Galads:
First an foremost, DHL do not open your packet when you go to send. Scanning machine does all the work. So if it is only the battery that is the problem then if removed, it can pass through the scanner.
TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Successful111: 12:28pm On Jan 28, 2017
@prizzy2 thanks a lot you guys are doing a nice work here I most confess..

I have not received anything from him before..and he wants to send it through DHL on Monday morning..but he said he had read online from the site DHL customer care gave him when he went for enquires last week in Germany, that when my package gets to me here in Nig,i will pay some custom fee,but they did not specify how much I will pay her, that's why am scared because I know what Nigeria customs can do..but it is just An Acer laptop and an Android phone that has been used by him,,but as for the phone he is not certain if to send it,,becuase the last time he tried after paying they returned it back to him because it was having an in built Lithium ion battery..now since he wants to send me this laptop,,i thought maybe if we remove the battery from the phone we can pass it through to Nigeria...

prizzy2:
Have you received anything from this your friend before? If yes how tangible was it?.
If you are using DHL, their charge covers everything up to last mile delivery(DHL do carry something that contains Lithium ion battery). But if you have to use other courier service that will require you to pay for custom clearance or what ever fee, this parcel should be around in your State then you will get a phone call to pick it up. When I had the same experience last year April I paid 1k for goods of about 100usd.

Note: if you are notified that your parcel has arrived any other city apart from Lagos and the city nearest to you, that you should pay some money for clearance and delivery, then you should be cautious.

Galads:
DHL is german post service just as Nipost is Nigerian post service. When it gets to DHL Nigeria, customs check it and transfer it to your nearest postoffice where you will go to get it. They will not deliver it to your address instead call you to come pay and pick it up.
Thank you very much @ galad... it was useful.. ...but what about the issue of the phone?? If he opens the phone & removes the battery, that means he will send just the phone without battery...will DHL reject?? Because they don't allow sending of device with lithium battery again,,,and do you know if other courier services will allow sending such phone?? God bless you bro

Galads:
my advice is prepare like 20k or more to get it out of Nipost. Even if it is a gift, Custom will estimate the price and charge you 20% for custom duty.
Thank you very much @galads....but am using DHL not NIPOST
TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Successful111: 8:14am On Jan 27, 2017
Please my brothers/sisters,,i know this might not be the right thread for this post I want to drop,,but honestly I need help on this..

A friend of mine has promised to send me just one laptop, already used for few months and a nice smart phone to Nigeria through DHL..he tried sending the phone before, but DHL returned it back to him after he had spent some good amount,,all because the phone has an internal Lithium-ion kind of battery,,,(i.e the galaxy explosion talk thing)

And just this week he decided to send me a laptop, and I want him to just add the phone to it,,i don't know if I tell him to get some one who can help open the phone and then remove the Battery and send like that, maybe when it gets here I buy another battery...please if you have any other better option just let me know..Or is that problem peculiar to DHL alone??

2ndly he was told that over there that I as the receiver will pay some import duty to the custom when it arrives here,,but it's a gift and not for sales...I have not done it before,i do not have much clue on how it works,,please any idea of how much I would pay?? I just do not want to embark in any stress that is not worth just 1 laptop and Phone, which are used before..
God bless you guys as you advise me on what to do...
