blakky97: brother! that person in question is a general. (not brigadier general, not major general, not lieutenant general) meaning after his rank, you have a field marshal. (the nadir of army ranks) he had a 4 star. if he blinks, nigeria army will play the part 2 of what happened in odi this time around; even lizards, mosquitoes, ants and spiders wont come out of the niger delta region. at the end. its the innocent people that suffer. and if that clan will not go into extinction, then it will be necessary for the militants to down weapons and embrace diplomacy and negotiation. for the interest of peace. nobody is powerful enough to undermine the sanctity of nigeria as a country. and if you ask: why then was it possible for bh to hold the nation to ransom? to this I respond: bh success was on the grounds that the commander in chief of our armed forces was purely civil, and as so, will neither be prepared to disregard the rulings from the Geneva conversion in 194 (something), nor open to an idea of full scale battle with an unconventional force adopting the guerilla warefare tactics in his own country where he will be forced to make collateral damages out of innocent nigerian lives and property. this may not be the case with a soldier like Obasanjo or Buhari. Those touts you lecturing cannot comprehend that cos their reasoning faculty has been weaved by dead cells. They call for war they cannot win. |

darediamond: Your question is pointless. Do you know what than Courageous Man stands for? You can reply with all sorts of big grammer if you like. The issue he is hammering will still backfire because Jonathan was primarily conspired against. Who are the sponsorer of Boko Haram?? Jonathan should know the sponsor of boko haram by now if not, He failed woefully. Are you guys joking or simply insane? |

RedBenson: Well, i write boldly so all can see clearly.
The earlier we stop deceiving ourselves in this country that we are ONE NIGERIA, the better it will be for us. Nigeria has never been one, it's not one and it can never be one. Let's just stop deceving ourselves while we keep forcing ourselves into this unworkable union. The obvious is already there. Looking at the pattern of votings and the results in the just concluded presidential election, one needs not be told that Nigeria is not one. Incase you still not understand what i mean, this is it.
All the northerners voted in favour of their brother (Buhari), same went to westerners for their brother (Osinbanjo) and even also same to the easterners/southerners for their brother (GEJ). No tribe wanted their brother to fail in the race knowing fully well that apart from political affiliation, a brother from the same tribe is a true brother. I then ask, why do we still deceive ourselves into a forceful union?
All the northerners residing in the east/south left the areas to go vote massively for their tribe man, not for the interest of the "one nation", but for the fact that he is a tribe man. They all voted and got their mission accomplished and then came back to the south/east and start their business again.
Well, sooner than expected, a day shall come when we, the southerners shall shed blood, kill and destroy unimaginably and from that day, the nation called Nigeria shall stop to exist.
Mark Today's date. Another slowpoke with moronic comment. Have Gej done anything good convincingly to warrant 2nd term? Was he not massively supported in 2011? Numskull! |

torhuke: Going by the arrogance of victory that is being displayed by the north and Buhari's supporters, You al may not call Asari's bluff yet. Like he said, the coming days will determine whether we are more integrated or separated... And God knows that the coming days will determine where we all belong in this country. ApC is a gang-up against the Niger-delta and the IGbos and the results of the last election shows that the North will continue to determine who "rules" NIGERIA until Jesus comes. That said.. Asari should take his cool. GEJ will hand over a United Nigeria but Buhari may not oversee a United nigeria. He may not know peace just like GEJ never knew peace throughout his tenure. The coming days shall tel. I hope you're in the creek now? If not go there and spring up a surprise.. |

manck2: The Law Require Before Declaring Anyone Winner...
Keep quiet, the law require buhari to get 1/3 of the total vote cast, in 2/3 of the state Jonathan won, except if they have change the law.
So you are going to see people go to court over the issue.
the law requires the winner to have the following.
1. buhari most win by a simple majority . 2. Buhari most get 1/3 of the total vote in a state of 2/3 Jonathan state won ( the argument of Awolowo Vs shagari under Justice Akinjide case) (reason why this law, is because of tribalism in nigeria.) 3. buhari most get at least 1/3 the total vote in a state in 2/3 of the total number of state.
If buhari does not have 1/3 of the total vote cast in a state in 2/3 of the state Jonathan won, the result will be cancelled. And a run off would be call
So show me, the final result.
You have to look at the state Jonathan won, and see, if number 2 happen, this is the most important part, in nigeria election. except if they have change the law. but if the law is still the same.. you a person most have all this to be declare winner.
In the case of awolowo vs Shagari.
Awolowo won 5 state(ogun, ondo, lagos, oyo, bendle), azikiwe won 4 state( anambra, imo, cross rivers, rivers), waziri won 2 state borno and gongola. Aminu kano won kano state.
When you add 5 + 4 + 2 + 1= 12 state.. of 19 state.
Shagari won just 7 states.. it is not required by law to win 2/3 of the state, but more of 1/3 of the total vote in 2/3 of the total states. And 1/3 of 2/3 of your closest rival state won.
This is why Orubabe may have been fighting jega.
To explain this following requirement
1. win by a simple majority . 2. Buhari most get 1/3 of the total vote in a state of 2/3 Jonathan state won ( the argument of Awolowo/Akinjide/Shagari case) 3. buhari most get at least 1/3 the total vote in a state in 2/3 of the total number of state.
2. If Jonathan won 12 states.. Nigeria law requires buhari to get 1/3 of the total vote cast 8 states of those state Jonathan won.
If Jonathan won Benue, Imo, and rivers state.. Buhari is required by law to get 1/3 of the total vote cast in 2 of this state.. May be imo or rivers or benue and imo.
3. This law means buhari most get 1/3 of the total vote cast in 2/3 of the total state cast. meaning if there are 12 state in Nigeria.. buhari most get 1/3 of the total vote cast in 8 states of Nigeria.
Only 1 and 3 did buhari meet. So you dont have to congratulate anyone yet. There may be a run off of the election. if a court case is heard. Is okay........keep hoping. |
