Good idea. But what is peace without justice? Mahmoud has still not answered to anyone for the glitch he acknowledged. The loopholes in the 2022 Electoral Act that were laid bare by the judiciary have not been plugged. Are these not legitimate concerns for a sensible government to have started addressing as a sign of goodwill? What about the promised implementation of Oronsaye report? What about the profligacy of the present government at the expense of the suffering majority? Do you think the masses have confidence in 2027 ballot with all this? PBAT has zero leadership skills or he's just altogether mischievous for his own gain.

You just summed up your comments by your last comment. He is the wrong man to make any corrections, every honest Nigerian will doubt his intentions, because he is not the most honest of individuals.

That's why I am against any protests, Tinubu as head of this government lacks the integrity to make any good changes, because he is sitting on a shaky mandate.

We will want to keep off the protests, because we are not clear about what has been happening since February 2023.

Some people will never vote for criminals. And they are being vindicated right now.

TonyeBarcanista:

Well, my view has always been that Protest should be used to express displeasure with government and make demands. However the bigger goal should be to unify interests, sensitise each citizens, present/support credible party & candidates and prepare for the next election to challenge the incumbent system.

Irrespective, I am aligned with the right of Nigerians to peacefully protest.

You're correct, that's how it was supposed to be, until numbers 2 to 7 started to cash in on the corrupt system in Nigeria, and they always have the upper hand.

They use the media to promote tribal and religious divides that will make a mess of all the good intentions of rhe honest few. Just the way they used teibal hate to win votes in the elections, is the same way they wi use tribal hate to get people to fight themselves during the protests.

It's simply too risky in this period.

In summary you are saying Nigerians should correct their mistakes in 2027?

Exactly. its the most sensible thing to do. Any other method might jeopardise the fragile peace we have in this country.

8. Honest Nigerians like me: We are anti protest, because we understand that numbers 2 to 7 are more powerful, and will defeat the good intentions of number 1.

We were the people that voted "right", by avoiding voting for this disaster. We are tired of the noise, and will want everyone to endure the pains until 2027.

You have allowed him get there, let him do his work in peace.

Wait for 2027, then protest with your votes.
