Rpm was too high and caused the engine to overheat

Hello specialist,

- Can inadequate engine oil in car cause overheating.?
- When rpm runs around 2000 rpm in traffic can it also cause temperature rising above normal.


Senario... I went out with a friend yesterday before we set out we checked and realised the oil guage was below half (not so far from the lower marker).
He concluded that he will service car (oil change) this weekend so need need to top oil.
One our way we stopped by a mechanic (who normally does his oil change) and mechanic also touched something related to the airflow Meter.

Then the RPM jump up and kept hovering around 1200 to 1500 rpm(even with AC on and "" drive engaged and car was not moving)

After a while in traffic we noticed the temperature gauge started rising. Up till 3/4

Note:
- the radiator never poured out water.
- we left car till later in the evening. Disconnected and reconnected battery terminal to regularise the rpm (as the throttle was electrical)
Car did not overheat on our way back..

Hence for information sake, I would like to know the bolded questions above. Thanks

When I start moving... Sound get louder.
When there is pressure applied to the gas pedal to take off,(like moving after a traffic light stop) it start stuttering.. but when I take it easy on the gas pedal it can gradually accelerated.

Not much not until last two weeks, Had a broken flywheel on my way from work at night.
A mech assisted me to push/park in his workshop.
Next-day he removed the engine and replaced the flywheel.
-Sound of my exhaust has change and the car sometimes stall in movement.
So a friend scanned and got the code from his machine

Hello Gazzuz, a friend scanned my 2010 Corolla and it came with the code P2770..
Should I be worried..?

Bought my first ride a jeep in Ajah, lagos in October (had also called royalty for this same camry too) after serious checks and testing. there was no much fuel so i was adviced not to go far with testing.

left ajah by 7pm for epe running thru ikorodu to avoid traffic.

Indeed i was careless. vehicle registration expired, no spare tire and i did not even bther to do serious engine checks... after i paid the little change i had topped up fuel and hit the road...
i was on top of my speeds dat night as the road was lonely and i had only driven that road once.

issues:
1: noticed that after a long drive like an hour, jeep refused to pick up... Fuel pump
2: i test drove on a smooth road.. shocks were bad so my bumps, potholes were not encouraging.. on top step one pot hole pratically sent me dangling into the bush and out again
3: Battery packed up after 3 days
4: rust underneat the back tire chasis

Not too long heard a clicking sound, i still was managing my life den one simple day the Flywheel broke around 9pm..jeep could not start nor move

jeep stayed dre till the fly wheel was dropped and replaced.. took 2 days to do dat...

I have hereby resolved to pack it and fix the Shege life out of it before driving cos i noticed one issue compounds anoda.

On the Pros:

jeep is clean inside out only for some sun burns on the top parts and bonnet
Engine still spits water... and the speed na maga
AC blows like fire,. presently no gas due to the last work done on the fly wheel..
(filled it the first time, it leaked, fixed and fille it again but the mechanic made the gas escape in the course of fixing flywheel

i have been tempted to sell it but never been so crazy about selling with the offers to taste.

Now iav got a new pump and battery,,
shocks to come in soon and tire to follow suite
once fixed will proceed to welder to fix chasis..

to all intending buyers, set aside cash to fix you naija used ride, dey seems to always need fixing

i would prefer to deal with dealer or non first time car users.

i have a Rodeo SUV for sale, has some issue it developed due to long parking.

car is very much mobile, and sound, body is never dented nor scratched.

ac working, gear working, engine working but needs servicing. does not runs smooth as it used to.
Shocks might need replacement.
