unfortunately, the rate at which testing is being is quite slow and because of community transmission, NCDC will continue to detect more Covi-19 patients even if the lockdown continues up till December. You need massive testing -say 100k testing per week for people with COVID-19 symptoms and serious social distance and lockdown. However, not only Nigeria even developed countries like UK and US are having challenges for testing. Unfortunately the measures Nigeria has taken, aren't curtailing spread of coronavirus and is hampering the economy!

What is the difference between DSSC and SSC??

DSSC is for only professional courses; often even professional membersship from your field, i.e Nigeria Medical Association, Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, Nigeria Institute of Architect is required for DSSC. SSC is for all graduates regardless of what you study at university; SSC are trained fully like NDA cadets and can head any battalion in war front; they receive more training than DSSC.

Certainly, you can't head any battalion fighting Boko Haram and it means you aren't at the war front, but also trained and carry things like pistol for self-defence; they are providing services: doctors treating wounded soldiers, engineers constructing bridges to cross difficult terrain and repairing equipment, teachers teaching at schools etc. However, it's even more difficult for DSSC to convert to Regular than SSC.

DSSC is for professionals who are providing services for the real military officers: doctors, engineers, teachers, lawyers etc

I know Nigerian graduates who have been seeking for employment for the past 10 year, yes! So, with NDA, he doesn't need to seek for employment. He might even finish the 5 years and some of his graduate colleagues wouldn't be gainfully employ; though, I don't pray that should be their portion, but that's reality of Nigeria scenario

converting to regular is not that easy as it seems; I know countless officers who were retired at rank of colonel. Converting to regular is quite difficult and depends only if there is slot --chance and space-- NDA is far better than short service
