UNITED Kingdom (UK) and Australia yesterday jointly deported 40 Nigerians for immigration offences.
The deportees, comprising men and women, arrived at the Hajj camp area of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport at 7:25am on a chartered aircraft.
It was learnt that the chartered aircraft with the registration number ZTA-4741 had on board 36 Nigerians – 29 males and seven females.
Also, Air Seychelles with the registration number SND-1 brought four males into the country for similar immigration offences.
The two countries also deported some Ghanaians, Liberians and Egyptians.
The returnees were received by agencies like the Police, National Agency for Protection and Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS). They checked their identities to ascertain their nationalities.
A source close to the terminal said some of the deportees complained when officers of the NIS attempted to collect their fingerprints.
The source added that others, who didn’t kick against the taking of the fingerprints, were attended to and allowed to leave the airport after the completion of their documentations.
At the Hajj and cargo terminal, where they used as exit, the deportees looked sobre and refused to speak with our correspondent when approached.
Some of them were seeing boarding vehicles out of the airport. Others discussed in groups.
The deportees, it was gathered, were repatriated from their host countries for overstaying their visas and other immigration offences.
NIS Public Relations Officer Mr. Ekpedeme King confirmed the deportation to The Nation when contacted on phone. But he could not give more details.

The vigilante allegedly behind a police raid that saw prostitutes and their customers to walk naked through the streets has humiliated African prostitutes in a violent raid at another Russian brothel.

Former kickboxer Viacheslav Datsik calls himself Red Tarzan and has declared war on prostitution in the city of St Petersburg.

The 36-year-old has reportedly been calling police and tipping them off, effectively orchestrating raids - but this time he personally conducted an attack.

Harrowing footage shows him and several other men including Stanislav Baretsky, a 44-year-old Russian musician and actor, raiding a brothel.


They enter a brothel room with a group of men - some have their hoods up and are wearing sunglasses.

Datsik can be seen holding a prostitute of African origin to the floor, pushing into her back with his knees.

He then appears to give her a beating as the camera pans around and intermittently blacks out.

Another video shows Datsik grabbing the hair and arms of two African prostitutes, so that he can show their faces to the camera.

All the while, Baretsky is standing next to them, but does not appear to physically harm them.

Datsik then asks the women why they ‘infect Russian citizens with AIDS’.


The former fighter said: 'These sluts are infecting the last remaining white men of your nation with HIV. Now the whole country will see your face.'

Commenting on the videos, Netizen Katerinak said: 'It is still not clear whether Datsik is a psychopath. He’s been admitted to two psychiatric hospitals and was then sent to jail. Psychos are not admitted to prisons in Russia.'

Netizen Sergey said:'If he brought a naked love-vendor to a police station that would be cool. Other than that it is pure humiliation.'

According to local media, police are now investigating Datsik - who already has a criminal record - and he may be charged over the two videos. The investigation is reportedly ongoing but so far no arrest has been made.



Viacheslav Datsik is famous for his dramatic knock-out of future Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski in 1999.

He was also in the headlines when he ripped open a can of beer with his teeth in protest at a neighbourhood watch group who were trying to shame him into parking properly.


In the previous incident reported five days ago, 11 prostitutes and their customers were forced to march naked through the streets after a raid on an illegal brothel in the city's historic Vasilyevsky Island.

All of the women working there and most of their clients were arrested but three men managed to escape through a back door.

The group marched naked before being put into police cars and taken to a police station.

An eye-witness said: 'Police burst into the building and a little while later left with naked and crying prostitutes.'

It is reported that the brothel was responsible for a flood in the apartment below.

One online commenter, Natalia Lukyanova, posted: 'They should make pimps going naked through the streets, not those girls.'

Yunusa Yellow, the alleged abductor of Ese Oruru, appeared in this photo posing behind his tricycle in Bayelsa State last year.
Mr. Yunusa, who is currently at the Police Force Headquarters in Abuja, ran commercial tricycling business in Bayelsa State.
He left Bayelsa in August last year with Miss Oruru to Kano, where he converted her to Islam and planned to marry her.
In an interview with PREMIUM TIMES on Wednesday, Mr. Yunusa’s father, Dahiru Bala, claimed his son is 22-year old.
Police authorities said on Tuesday that Mr. Yunusa would face criminal charges for abducting the teenager from her home.
