TravelNiger State Government Enhances Nigerian International Passport Processing by Sul154(op): 11:06pm On Apr 23, 2024
In a significant move to streamline passport acquisition and enhance the efficiency of the immigration process, the Niger State Ministry of Communications Technology and Digital Economy recently made a noteworthy contribution to the Niger State Command of the Nigerian Immigration Service. This gesture carried out on behalf of Governor Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago By the Honourable Commissioner Hon. Suleiman Isah, involved the donation of essential passport-capturing equipment, marking a pivotal step towards simplifying the international passport acquisition process for the residents of Niger State.

Aiding the Hajj Season Preparations
As the Hajj season approaches, this donation could not have come more opportunistically. The arrival of the new passport-capturing equipment is expected to significantly reduce the waiting times and procedural bottlenecks that have traditionally hampered the process. This improvement is particularly crucial for Nigerlites seeking to fulfil their religious obligations by pilgrimage to Mecca.

The Commissioner’s Vision for a Digital Niger
The Honorable Commissioner for Communications Technology and Digital Economy, Suleiman Isah, who presented the equipment on behalf of the governor, emphasised the state government’s commitment to driving the “New Niger” Agenda. This initiative aims to leverage digital technology to enhance the quality of life for all citizens, irrespective of whether the responsibility falls within the purview of the federal government or the private sector.

Commissioner Isah’s remarks underscored a broader vision of collaboration and technological advancement. He stated, “The State government is willing to drive the New Niger agenda and make life better for citizens of the state irrespective of who owns the responsibility, be it federal government or private sector.” This inclusive approach signals a significant shift towards a more integrated and technology-driven governance model.

An Open Invitation for Collaboration
Further extending an olive branch to various institutions facing challenges within the state, Commissioner Isah encouraged them to engage openly with the state government. This call to action is not just about solving immediate problems but about fostering a culture of transparency, cooperation, and mutual support to enhance the lives of Nigerlites.

A Step Towards Digital Transformation
This donation by the Niger State Ministry of Communications Technology and Digital Economy is more than just a provision of equipment; it represents a cornerstone in the state’s journey towards digital transformation. The government is setting a precedent for how technology can be harnessed to serve the public effectively by alleviating one of the critical pain points for its citizens.

As the state gears up for the Hajj season, the implications of this initiative are profound. Not only will it facilitate a smoother journey for pilgrims, but it also sets a benchmark for other states to follow. The collaborative spirit, as advocated by Commissioner Isah, along with a focus on leveraging digital technology, could pave the way for a new era of efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric governance.

In conclusion, the donation of passport-capturing equipment by the Niger State Government is a commendable step towards enhancing public services through technology. It reflects a broader commitment to improving the lives of Nigerlites, showcasing how digital innovation can be a powerful tool in the hands of visionary leadership. As the state moves forward with its New Niger Agenda, it stands as a beacon of hope for a brighter, more connected future for all its citizens.
This donation also highlights the government’s recognition of the importance of digital inclusion. By providing passport-capturing equipment, the state ensures all citizens have equal access to essential services and opportunities. This commitment to inclusivity sets a strong foundation for a more equitable and prosperous society in Niger State.

EventsThe First Ever Tedx Event In Minna (tedxminna) by Sul154(op): 11:23am On Jul 29, 2021
The Maiden edition of TEDxMinna was at the top of previously held events in Minna. TEDxMinna is the most talked about: it was Educative, Inspiring, and Relatable.
The theme "Changing Mindsets" is a fresh perspective. With the challenges that demand immediate solutions in the state, the people need to rise with a positive mindset. It has been able to show the hidden potentials in the state. The event has also been able to break most stereotypes associated with Niger State.

Originally set to hold on March 12th, 2020, but was rescheduled, due to the coronavirus pandemic to September 12th, 2020.
The median edition of the event saw the introduction of a lot of things that have never been experienced in the state.
A link was shared to the public to nominate speakers based on different sectors, after which valid entries were screened and we had speakers from different sectors and locations including the United States and Dubai.

We had tree planting activities where over 50 trees were planted to help clean the environment from the carbon footprints the event would have left such as exhaust fumes, waste, litter, etc. As part of conserving the environment, we minimized the use of paper at the event by using QR code-enabled tickets, digital programmes of events, and lots more. The future event will feature the introduction of our mobile app for better interaction and conservation.
The event was not just about the talks it was a thrilling event with experiences never before enjoyed by the audience. We had performances by a host of musicians, leopard displays, drumming, poetry, and spoken words. We didn't settle for the ordinary, we went the extra mile to make TEDxMinna a memory.
The event had over 200 physical attendants (college students, undergraduates, directors, CEOs, employees), and it was streamed live which had over 600 virtual attendees from all walks of life and school; this made the event more exciting as you don’t need to be in Minna to be part of the event.
To be frank, it would have been just an ordinary event if we didn't get support from companies like Daily Newspaper, Bilad Reality, family, Raise Foundation, Kere Ahmed Foundation, Mainstream Foundation, friends, volunteers, and well-wishers.
TEDxMinna is now set to be an annual event for brilliant minds to network, discover emerging trends, and the latest innovation across various sectors.
To stay up to date on our upcoming event, visit our website www.tedxminna.com or follow us on social media (@TEDxMinna).

BusinessChoosing An Effective Marketing Strategy by Sul154(op): 10:15am On Nov 17, 2017
Effective marketing is the lifeblood of any successful company, business or enterprise. Creative and alluring brand awareness gives your business an immense boost in terms of reach and total sales. Since there has been a shift towards digital marketing, the conventional marketing methods are seen as a relics of the past and are being exploited less by businesses.
Businesses are now after posts that are going viral on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. These viral posts create a ton of leads for the company or even small businesses who posted the content online. The easiness with which digital marketing can be done is the reason why most businesses today flock towards digital marketing methods. The long chain of shares makes a post reach thousands in just a matter of minutes which is faster than old-school conventional methods of marketing.
Get To Know the Old-School Marketing Methods
Before the digital era, there were other marketing methods that have catapulted many companies to great heights all on their own. But has the magic of the old school ways faded? We must not underestimate the fact that these methods are tried and tested through years.
The common misconception people have today is that there isn’t adequate reach for old-school marketing methods like newspaper, Radio and TV ads. But the fact is that relying solely on online marketing medium isn’t a good move if you are promoting your company. What you need is maximum exposure, and that can’t be achieved by just putting ads on social media sites or paid online promotions.
Online ads and viral posts tend to fade out faster, they are the definition of easy come easy go. While for the old-school ads like Newspapers and yellow pages they tend to be around for a while. We can still pick up old newspapers from 20 years back and see adverts without the advertiser paying the publishers anything yet the ad is still effective.
The internet is also full of distractions when compared to the old methods of advertising methods. Websites that serve content tend to have side widgets, pop-ups, etc that distract an individual from the main content. Also, devices that the content is accessible on like smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc tend to distract the individual with notifications. All these distractions can reduce the effectiveness of the advert. The old conventional methods of advertising have fewer distractions and tend to be more focused.
Know Your Audience when choosing an advert method
You must be wondering why one would say online marketing methods aren’t completely effective. The reason for such is due to the various age groups that access the web every single day. The age groups can be roughly divided into six:
