Diplomacy that allows stolen funds to be stashed in abroad with collaborations of such countries. Diplomacy full of lies. We don't need to use our hard earned tax payers money to be relevant in another man's land.

Crime / It’s Criminal Offence – EFCC Warns Against Obstruction Of Officers by Sunmolar(m): 10:22pm On Apr 17
Published on April 17, 2024By Don Silas

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday issued a stern warning to members of the public, stating that it is a criminal offence to obstruct the commission’s officers from carrying out their lawful duties.

The EFCC Establishment Act, Section 38(2)(a)(b), makes it clear that obstructing EFCC officers is punishable by up to five years in prison.

The warning comes in response to a growing trend of individuals and groups under investigation attempting to hinder EFCC operations by hiring thugs to disrupt legal procedures.

Several times, EFCC operatives have had to restrain themselves from reacting to such provocations to prevent any breakdown of law and order.

However, such restraint is now being interpreted as a sign of weakness.

The EFCC’s statement warns that it will not tolerate any attempts by individuals or organisations to obstruct its operations and that any such obstruction will be met with severe punitive measures.

“It is vital that the public complies with the law and allows the EFCC to carry out its duties without hindrance to ensure that justice is served,” the agency said.

If he fixes the price monopolistically.... Marketers should look somewhere else
It's about Nigeria not about an individual or groups..... There's room for stringent measures by the government to curtail any bad action from him and the likes.

Let Nigerian stage a boycott at the worse.... enough of stupidity.

Checks and balances with oversight cannot be overemphasized.

Every 6 months, every state should publish how the money was spent.

There is no bigger corruption than giving an individual 20 billion naira and not asking for expenditure account.

If this Government is really not corrupt, they should tell Governors to voluntarily publish these information for their states.

They should not be forced. That way Nigerians can see which governors are transparent and which ones are not.

Do u think the value and purchase power of 10k in GEJ era is same with buhari era, or 20k in buhari era is same with Tinubu era?

If leaders are transparent and sincere with the electorate, purchasing power wouldn't be an issue, the effect can either be geometric or arithmetic increase... To every action there's equal and opposite reaction.

Do you still want to live in the past?
Politics / Now That The Allocations To States Had Increased by Sunmolar(m): 8:10pm On Mar 23
The need to check monthly expenditures of states governors cannot be overemphasized...now that some states are receiving over #20bn in allocations monthly, we don't have to wait till 4yrs to see progress made in term of infrastructure, economy and welfare of the citizens.
If a governor receives #20bn monthly... Contracts awarded cannot gulp #250million daily... because I've not seen a company in Nigeria that will spend #200million everyday for a month. So there's need for restraint and confrontations from the populace on how their monies is been expended..... enough is enough of stupidity

They're trading on dollars the increase in FAAC allocations. Stocking their babariga with public funds. You can see how visionless they're.

They are hiding and withholding it from their BDC operators.

Ok.

The BDC operators are closing down instead, due to other reasons...e g. fluctuations of dollars....they they're not gaining when the naira appreciate sometimes. Just check it

A lot of contractors do pay the bribe in Dollars. Also last and previous administrations corrupt politicians had access to CBN vaults and the dollars. So to launder the money they provide it to BDC. Change some to naira and use their naira loot to exchange to dollar. Remember the naira loot is just stolen so it’s no loss to them. Now, increased scrutiny on these cash movements, thr unstable exchange has made them pull back.

The reason for scarcity of dollars?
Politics / The Old Templates And Post Subsidy Removal by Sunmolar(m): 10:13am On Feb 01
It's evidence today the low standard of living that an average Nigerian is subjected to due to the economy effect of subsidy removal.

These common sense questions goes to the economists in Nigeria.... If subsidy is removed what are the immediate measures to be taken to avoiding the high cost of living and inflation?

I will also make an inquest to the reasons why Nigerian are not seeing the results of any tangible efforts from government after the increase FAAC allocations to the state government so far?
Business / Re: BDC Operators Shut Down Business In Abuja by Sunmolar(m): 9:46am On Feb 01
2mch:

They can’t effectively move with their loot through the banks to the BDC’s. Also, Dangote will not sell to BDC. The people that do are the thieves in government laundering the dollars they have stolen. The money given to Dangote at a lower rate is a problem. I agree with you.

Now you can see my point. You cannot steal much without exchanging naira to dollar.
A governor can award a contract in naira...then get his proceeds of corruption in dollars through the contractor. So effc will go after a businessman who is importing construction materials and equipments?
Business / Re: BDC Operators Shut Down Business In Abuja by Sunmolar(m): 9:41am On Feb 01
2mch:

Not true. There is increased scrutiny on dollars and money embezzled and EFCC is going after the hidden dollars because we need the money. They are hiding their loot.

So efcc will go after agents used by politicians?
Can you reminisce how much dollars given to Dangote through the backdoor?

The politicians are mopping the dollars instead due to increase in FAAC monthly allocations....The amount to steal due to subsidy removal have grossly multiply.

Lol

They have completed the operation mop up the Dollars to launder their loot and flood the country with the worthless naira.

The galloping inflation go be formula 1 level.

Economic and financial terrorism competing with banditry and religious terrorists.

The reason is simply Governor's mopping up the dollars through their agents after monthly FAAC allocations. Be reminded the monthly allocations of State Government have increased since subsidy removal. This had resulted in untold hardship to the population as result of hike in transportation and cost of goods and services.
Most of the state governors have not increase the salaries of workers comnensurately...yet. nothing has been done to help labor force at large.

We need to wage war against our visionless and corrupt governors by seeking a legal means to end this wickedness
