A further study shows that out of the lot, Anambra state alone took 28 slots which translates to 28% of the top 100 and 47% of the Igbo intake. |
A cursory look at the top 100 listed above indicates that Ndigbo took 60% of the top 100 slots. |
Attached here is a list of candidates offered admission into the Federal Government Academy, Suleja also known as the School for the gifted. It's important to note that this is the only Federal government owned secondary school where admission is solely based on merit and no quota factor (I hope Buhari hasn't changed that).

The question is not whether she was married secretly or openly. The question is this; "is Idris' marriage to the lady in line with extant police rules on marrying a female police officer?" |

tolguy:There you go again with ignorant stereotypes. The UN has rated SE Nigeria as the safest place to live in Nigeria. SE Nigeria is the only region that doesn't have any of its states under a travel warning by the US department of states. The police report on crime rate shows that the SE is low on crime compared to other regions. The prison inmate statistics available on NBS show that SE has lower number of prison inmates both convicted and those awaiting trials compared to some regions, so the SE is certainly not what you refer to above. |
NtoAkwaIbom:We are talking about dollar, euros and pound sterling remittances here which is providing stability to Nigeria's economy by stabilising forex rates. The people you mentioned above ie Dangote and Adenuga while they contribute to the economy are net consumers of forex. You call remittances pocket money but it's competing and sometimes beats foreign earnings from oil which is the largest foreign exchange earner for Nigeria. You call it pocket money? An average Igbo man living abroad sends substantial amount if money to invest and purchase properties in Nigeria. At least with the pocket money, they've been able to own 80% of properties in Abuja according to Okoi Obono-Obla on Channels TV 2 weeks ago. El-Rufai said it was 75% during his time as FCT minister. Face the reality Bro and if you may know, I'm not as an Igbo man seeking anybody's love. Keep hating while we keep growing. Nsibeghe okpok ye barber? Agwo Annang ade agwo uko. |
Ddaji:Dude, this issue has been addressed since last year. It's been dealt with and cleared. |
Esseite:This doesn't include crude oil earnings. Those are not classified as such. |
Biafrans in the diaspora keep providing the much needed FOREX that props up this contraption. The moment the Foreign remittances dry up, this contraption will be worse than Zimbabwe. People keep shouting oil without knowing that foreign remittances have in some years been higher that oil earnings like in 2015 where it was about $35bn. Igbo kwenu. |
Kachikwu had already addressed these issues. Let them come up with another line. |
tolguy:And when they go to your zone poor, they eventually become richer than you. Isn't it ironical that you guys cut their nails, do maiguard and fetch eater for strangers who came to your land poor?

Audu Ogbeh, minister of agriculture, says the US rejected yam exports from Nigeria because of their poor quality. In June, Nigeria exported yams to China, United Kingdom and US as part of efforts to reduce dependence on oil and increase income from the agricultural sector. Despite laying claim to not less than 60% of the world’s yam production, Nigeria does not rank amongst the world’s highest exporters of the crop. The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Nigerian Customs Service, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) were charged with the responsibility of ensuring that yams exported were properly checked and certified. Others are Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS), Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), National Agricultural Seed Council (NASC). Ogbeh vowed to investigate both the exporting company and officials of the ministry’s department of quarantine for allowing “such substandard good to leave the shores of the country”. “Some consignment of yams were exported from Nigeria to the United States and according to reports we have today, they were found to be of poor quality,” he said. “We will be investigating both the company that exported it and our quarantine department to check and find out why such a consignment left here.” Ogbeh also said the price of rice will reduce substantially in the “next one month”. Aminu Goronyo, national president, Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria, had said that the price of a 50kg bag of rice will drop to N6000 in a few months. https://www.thecable.ng/us-rejects-nigerias-yam-export-over-poor-quality |

ProWalker:Doubting Thomas, these are a few collections I have from that time. I do not want to type a lengthy massage here for you as I believe that picture with the caption is self explanatory. That's why it's important that you know your history. There has been lies about a certain bread label celebrating the murder of Sardauna but nobody thought it fit to oreserve a copy of said bread label but here I have an evidence showing celebration of the coup in the SW, preserved for the day of reckoning. Save a copy if you wish because I'd be deleting it soon. |

Fajuyi: ”Oh Danjuma, come. Why are you here? What do you want?” Danjuma: “I want to speak to the Supreme Commander.” Fajuyi: “Ok, please promise me that no harm will come to him.” Danjuma: I’ll try, but can’t give you a solemn commitment or guarantee that no harm will come to him. However, we are here only to put him under arrest”. Fajuyi:”Let me go upstairs and call him.” Chorus of the Northern NCOs: No! Sir! Don’t allow him to go! OOh!” Danjuma turns and shows Fajuyi, who has turned to go upstairs what he has: “Sah, you see what I have? This is a grenade. If there is any false move from you the two of us will go together.” Mshelia, Ayuba. Araba Let's Separate: The Story of the Nigerian Civil War (pp. 73-74). . |
