The truth is the last U20 set was far better than this… Poor play I must say.

Now you see…! Anyway she is playing out of position too… She performs better from the Left flank.

Very Selfish Play from Osigwe… Could have given that ball to Okwuchukwu who was better positioned.

This lucky no really be am to me ....she better improve in second half and flourish should go to LW
I will remove the Skipper, push Imuran back to LB and move Flourish Sabastine to her usual Left Wing and bring in Ajakaye to the right.

His formation is even funny. Why not play the usual Classical 4-3-3.

And he's talking of winning the tournament. With which midfield? 😹😹😹😹

Against this Korea that are tired of us flogging them at this level and creativity is zero?
Danjuma is never a good Coach, he’s not even up to the half of Coach Florence Omagbemi in terms of Coaching. We shouldn’t expect nothing much.

Lucky Nkpa tends to release ball late, she’s the no.9 there release ball and get into space! I haven’t seen anything that made her start ahead of Janet from AO Academy.

Is this the set of U20 Players we’re clamoring to see in the SuperFalcons?? If so then we’re wrong because non of them can even give what the worstest player in the SuperFalcons can give…

Very Very Poor!
No pure DM..

Midfield zero..

Infact the whole team is 1/10… Thanks for qualifying.

Nawa for Danjuma oooo
Can’t even see a pure DM in the starting 11…

Yina Adoo is never a DM, but a Deep Lying Midfielder/Attacking Midfielder. Anyway mk I see Wetin wan Xup 4 the first half fess.

Nigeria SuperFalcons Striker Macleans Chinonyerem announces her departure from Lokomotive Moscow.🇷🇺
I just hope this Saudi Arabia rumors isn’t true, She has what it takes to play in the big leagues. If she truly want to be the SuperFalcons top striker upfront she need to move to the NWSL, French Or Spainish League, anything less is a no.

You didn't give an accurate representation of the matter. There is no truth in the bolded. Regina Otu became a squad member under Waldrum before Christy Uchiebe even had a chance. You can argue that Ayinde and Chikwelu were preferred but the point is Randy got to see her before Uchiebe. Abiodun wasn't even in the picture so it's kinda funny when you said Randy already had Abiodun.

Uchiebe came later then Abiodun much later. Otu had ample time.in my opinion to cement a place for herself since 2020/2021 and she didn't.
Randy was already following up with Abiodun since the U20’s.
By the way Swedish Coach Thomas Dennerby brought in Regina Otu and she was one of his regular home based player then while they were using the Home Based for the Senior WAFU cup and some of the qualifying games.

To me Randy did give her chances to prove herself and she did just that Randy already found favour in veteran Rita Chikwelu and Halimatu Ayinde as preferred DM and CM until the last WAFCON.

I remember Randy used to commend Christy Ucheibe on Twitter for her excellent performances at Clubside during the champions league, but it took him longer to give her a chance. There was a Champions League game against Chelsea and Randy complimented Ucheibe for her performance on Twitter.

Even Onome Ebi and Rita Chikwelu were also telling Ucheibe how strong and fit she’s, onome told her she was like two players in one that once Randy give her a chance she should take it, which Ucheibe said her self.

To me I will just say it takes some time for Randy to trust you fully, he doesn’t throw you into his starting 11 or squad just like that.

He doesn't trust her simple. Like I said Regina has played enough under Randy to earn a place. The fact that she isn't even under consideration as a bench player tells us everything we need to know. My only issue is how Alani made the list. But again, it was the same way I felt initially when Abiodun was first invited by Randy. Maybe just maybe theirs is something he sees that we don't. This is assuming Alani didn't make it as a NPFL quota though.
Not that Randy doesn’t trust her to me, the thing is Randy already had Ayinde, Ucheibe, Abiodun even before then Chikwelu was there and Otu was getting call ups steadily but sometimes she doesn’t turn due to one reason or the other.

Since he already had a stable 3 CDM of Ayinde, Ucheibe & Ayinde I felt he doesn’t need a 4th one in a roaster of 6 or 7 midfielders when some his forwards can also come in as Midfielders.

Concerning Abiodun she already showed sign that she’s one to look out for long ago in the U20 and for Rivers Angels( CAF Women’s Champions League) and picking her ahead of Okobi for the WWCUP was quite shocking a bit.

Again Alani making the list ahead of Shukurat Oladipo especially was funny to me because it’s clear that Shukurat is more talented, athletic and versatile.

Camp Update ‼️

As a result of injury to Halimatu Ayinde, Coach Randy Waldrum has moved forward Ifeoma Onumonu to the 18-player squad while Regina Otu has been invited as alternate player.
Why didn’t he put Regina among the 18 instead of reserve. The games are very close, it might tire out Christy and Abiodun. Too much workload on their shoulders right now.

EXCLUSIVE: Scandal rocks Super Falcons final Olympics squad

The Super Falcons final squad for the Paris 2024 Olympics will be announced any time from now, but it will include two players imposed on coach Randy Waldrum.

Sources inside the team told SCORENigeria that in the first instance the Texan coach could not have a list of four alternate players besides a final 18-person squad because the NFF claimed they do not have the additional funds to take care of these players.

However, four alternate players were subsequently forwarded to the organisers unknown to the coach.

Among these players are two veteran players who have not been involved with the team in recent times because the coach said he has no use for them.

Interestingly, both players were also forced on the coach for last year’s World Cup.

This latest selection scandal is expected to bring Waldrum in another face-off with the NFF.

It would be recalled that the American coach and his employers rowed openly in the build-up to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

All appeared to be forgotten and forgiven when against most expectations, Waldrum guided the Super Falcons past a “Group of Death” that housed hosts Australia and Olympic Gold medalist Canada.

The Super Falcons are again drawn in a difficult-looking first round group at the Paris Olympics after they were pitched against world champions Spain, former world champions Japan and South American champions Brazil.

Nine-time African champions open their Paris Olympics campaign on July 25 against Brazil in Bordeaux.

Is the Falcons preparation a cause for concern?

Nigeria's group opponents, Japan have announced their squad list ahead of the Olympic Games in Paris. The Super Falcons have not convened since securing a first Olympic ticket in 16years in Pretoria. Group opponents Spain and Brazil wrap up the schedule with both only taking a break after playing qualifying matches of consequence for their continental tournaments.

Battle between Nicole Payne and Temwa Chawinga
All this NWSL clubs need to go and get defensive midfielders the like Regina Otu and Amanda Mbadi who can mark and are very strong on the ball since they’re signing higher Testosterone levels forwards like Banda, and Chawinga who troubles their defense with speed and power.

Our Players can do the job for them in midfield with their No gree for anybody spirit.

Juventus fans that have been praising Echegini have started saying she’s after money because she wants to leave..

Again there’s no way she would want to leave Juventus when a bigger club didn’t toast her… It must come from the Bigger European Club sides.
AS Roma are already topping Juventus, AC Milan, Fiorentina and Inter Milan are all making big signings this transfer window but Juventus ain’t doing the same instead bringing players from their team B and the ones on Loan.

Echegini is right to request for a move away from Italy, Going to France is a big big upgrade. But with the rumors of Chawinga and Baltimore leaving their attack will be very weak except one of them or both stays cause Katoto isn’t enough upfront. In defense they’re very very okay. In Midfield PSG doesn’t have an Attacking Midfielder and this is where Echegini comes in, The Dutch lady Jackie is a DM while Geyero is a strong Center Midfielder, USA youngster Kobin Albert is a CDM the rest of their Midfielders are team B and upcoming players, Jean-Francois is a DM also but currently recovering from ACL.

With PSG Echegini can win titles and also finish high in the Champions League.

I thought they said it was U20. This is news to me
I was wondering same too but when I saw some of the players already over 21 from various countries i didn’t bother again.

Goalkeeper Racheal Udoka Unachukwu is 21+ but was at the All African Games, it seems there were some changes the public didn’t know about. When I saw that Ghanaian player in the tournament I was shocked cause she wasn’t U20, a serious knee injury made her to come back to Ghana cause was played College football in USA before going pro to play for Deportivo Alaves alongside Nigeria Senior Defender Osinachi Ohale, when they got relegated that season she came back to Ghana. Let’s say it was for U23 or U20 but each team were allowed to play with 3 over aged players.

You can do some research yourself.

Then why take her to the African games? Abeg this one na confusion
I think the All African Games was played by U23 or U21 because some of the players in the tournament were already over 20 and 21. The ones I’m familiar with.

Look at the Ghanaian Lady No.8 that scored the Wining goal against the Falconet was 21 during the tournament and will be 22 in October.. Her name is Mukarama Abdulai

After only 6 months at Juventus FC, Joe Echegini already wants to leave the club ⏳🇳🇬

Juventus will be asking for 250,000 euros for release…!
Juventus are very unserious right now, the Coach who signed her Joe Montemurro is the new coach of Lyon. I guess she might be heading there.

250k for a player whose market value is 100k and just left College 6months ago to become pro is quite high. Anyway she’s already became a Star very early.

What a 🇳🇬partner in Midfield they were at the World Cup

Will Deborah Abiodun break this two pair in midfield at the Olympics?🫣
Going by experience and better Chemistry I will pick Ayinde as she has bossed up the likes of Lauren James at the World Cup.

Deborah keeps getting better and better everyday and she’s good enough to start ahead of Ayinde also, To me she’s a good replacement for Ayinde and we need an experience and calmer midfielder to pair up with Ucheibe in that double pivot.

CAF Women's Under 17 WWC Qualifying

Congratulations to Nigeria Women's Under 17 who seal their spot in the 2024 Fifa Women's Under 17 Women's World Cup.

Result
Nigeria 🇳🇬 2-0 Liberia 🇱🇷
Harmony Chidi 3 64
Agg 6-1
I really want this U17 set to camp in the US or Mexico which is closer to Dominican Republics, A Training Camp in the US will definitely give them number of opportunities to play against good college teams and they can as well be Scouted by good College teams. even play against some of the U17 National Teams around in preparation for the World Cup.

Not the fire-brigade approach NFF always uses or they can go to Europe and give them better preparation with quality U17 Opponents like Germany, France, England, Japan, China and many more.

Player like Harmony Chidi needs a better grooming, the College or Laliga route would be a great option if she already have her WAEC Cert.
