pcb2bad: Pls guys I need ur advice. On Wednesday 20 th June, my visa was denied and I was given a blue paper. Pls bear it in mind that I’ve been to the us twice on b2 visa and I still have a valid b2 visa. I wana know if maybe there’s a problem. I was admitted to study nursing at pv Amu university in Texas. But not for masters another undergrad as I finished my previous undergrad last year and decided to change to another course . When asked what other schools I applied to I mentioned a community college. Pls is there a restriction for people that want to do another undergrad . During my interview , I was very nervous and I didn’t write any standard test and when I was asked what will the degree do for me. I messed up the answer as I wasn’t able to complete my sentence . Pls help me .. should I reapply for another interview? You must have forgotten either of the following: Mother's maiden name, first five letter of your surname or your date of birth lolzz |

hilaryxoxo: Whats the name of the school? Why would they put a different program on your I20? I think this definitely says a lot about the substance of the school... It's not an error and dosnt say bad of the school most schools has a code given to it by the state thus having a different program stated on it, it was an order from the state and they need to follow it up. The school should have made a remark statement somewhere beneath the i-20 the actual program. I strongly believe this wasn't the reason for her denial. |

LagosismyHome: Most masters are two years regardless of what your i20 states .... some schools put a buffer on the i20 that why it longer than 2 years
So a simple explanation is yes your masters is 2 years program. Although the school i20 is 33 months as a buffer. This is not unique to you so most VO knows about this. However master is 2 years so your masters is 2 years Ok thanks mam but i swear i went to check up that buffer part in d dictionary right now but cudnt link it up pls explain ma |

theamerican: I remember your username. I just want to point something out to you. If you think repplying for a visa with a "ranked" school will guarantee your visa, I'm afraid you need a really good reality check. You will still have to work for your visa.
If you're asked why you changed to XYZ university in Oregon and all you can say is "it is a ranked school", it's just another futile effort. What's my point? If you're trying to get into other schools, this is the time to start asking yourself what you want, why you really want them and do your research and continue learning how to prepare for interviews.
Moving on, cost of living depends on so many factors. Like in any state, not all cities are the same so, where your school is/you'd live could be factors too. Oregon is a relatively expensive state to live in but remember: sometimes, the cheapest things in life aren't the cheapest. Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma are cheap states but there are so many places in these states you wouldn't wanna live in as a foreigner.
Don't rush any decision, wait for the next session and spend time preparing. Make better decisions and be self critical. Don't let your future be decided by a random, faceless person in another place like me and others here lol because in the end, you'll be the one to live with your decisions.
Always go for what's best for YOU, not what someone thinks would be best for them. I wish you the best. seeing your comments and advice on ppls post always have a way of boosting my spirit God bless u ma!! |

align360: I will strongly advise you wait for your hard copy before payment. A friend chatted me up this morning complaining of paying with a wrong i20 code sent to him by the school.. he realized that the code sent to him was different from what is on the i20. Alright thanks. |

LagosismyHome: That a school that knows the process.... scanned i20 is a no no. You need to find out when is your i20 likely to arrive which will guide you on booking dates. Except If the time really short , I would wait to see the i20 before booking an appointment i ll be using eshipglobal or ups pickup (that's if d school agrees to the pick up) which would most likely arrive in 4 to 5 working days. |

Walspring: 621 pages is it for 6 months or how many months ?
Also I wonder what kind of business he is doing for the statement to be in 621 page?
Is your sponsor bureau de change You don’t need 621 pages of bank statement for visa interview and since it’s not toefl or GRE official guide text book it's for 6months(from 1st November 2017 till date) and he's not into bureau de change he's into marketing activation. So what are you saying in essense through your criticism ? I thought personal statement of account has to do with good inflow and outflow and closing balance not numbers of pages? |
