johnpoko:Thanks A lot. Some people are just uncouth by default, and the comment tells a lot about the poster. Common sense isn’t common afterall. |
Pharmacology:Thank you and thank God for people like you who still have brains that are in perfect condition. |
AZUH:I can only shake my head at your ignorant and rude response, you can’t be neater or look more peng than my friend by the way. She smells sweet at all times too. Thanks. |
LadyGuinivere:God bless and thanks for the prompt response. The VISA is not fake, I actually went with her to pick her Passport at TLScontact. She never used agents. I want to believe it’s a case of nerves like you said, she will study the thread on answering questions and try again. |

Hello abujaniv..... I want to know if LPRs of 2years and 3years are eligible to invite a family or friend.... Or will they have to become citizens before being able to invite someone for vacation purpose. Thank you. |
kennycanny:ok then..... Thanks for responding.... Thanks to the lady as well. |
LadyGuinivere:yes i av taken a look @ d form.... I had to pause due to my confusion... Options there are single, married, legally separated, divorced, widowed..... I am neither divorced nor legally separated as we havent taken any legal action.... I stil av the marriage cert though, but we are not together anymore.... Also single is not suitable because its for anyone who has never been married... I am not widowed either..... Confused much.... and i was hoping maybe someone had similar issue and has found answers and help here....i just want to be really careful u know. |
Hello house, pls i need ur advice to help me out in filling my DS160 form, My now ex husband won d DV Visa lottery over 10yrs ago, i was the beneficiary as he was the principal applicant. We both went for the interview but were refused the visa because the VO said the form was filled incorrectly. the refusal letter was issued in his name, sadly we av been separated for more than 2yrs but not legal separation or divorced yet so i am confused as to what is applicable as my marital status on the form.... I avnt had any other encounter with the US embassy since then but now i intend going for a tourist visa.... My passport has my maiden name and i av used it to and fro UK thrice in the last three years.... Pls advice me as i dont want any misrepresentation or error in filling the form. Thank You. |
Dear VO, please I beg you to read my post patiently as it's a mixture of DV and NIV issue. In 2004, A couple had their Visa Interview under d DV 2003 program..after series of interview and proof of relationship presented with photos and marriage certificate..they were denied with the remark "your original DV lottery entry was not properly filled in comformance with the rules and regulations of the DV Program, and is therefore disqualified. You are not eligible to participate in the DV 2004 program" Note: the man was the main applicant Fastfoward: Today they are no longer married, as the marriage crashed due to irreconciliable differences a few years back, thus they have been separated eversince but not legally divorced. Now the woman who have since been travelling to Europe for holiday wishes to visit the US, what should she fill as marital status? Single or Separated? I also wish to know if not having a divorce certificate will affect her visa decision as she is separated and not divorced... Your take on this will be highly appreciated, thank you. |
VisaOfficer: It depends what type of visa she's applying for. If she's not applying to immigrate as a spouse, fiancee, or married/unmarried child, we're probably not going to be interested in her marital status.Very well then, thank u so very much, u're so timely...stay good VisaOfficer...cheers! |
VisaOfficer: What will jeopardize her chances is if she attempts to hide her prior visa application, as her photo and fingerprints are certainly in our computer system. She should use the name that appears on her passport, and be prepared to explain that she is separated but not yet divorced. Thanks Visa Officer dear, and God bless..for your response. Meanwhile would it matter if the separation is not legal ie wit documents and all, as they haven't taken each other to court or anything of sort, so would the CO want to see documents supporting a separation just like in divorce cases, note that they've been apart and may end up having a divorce or reunite...that's up to them....so for d visa, could she go on and apply with separated marital status without docs? |
Congrats @earnestleon and @zillionnaire....ur cases are settled, I rejoice wit u....so I pray such favour for the rest of d selectees, especially my personal person Deebaby....u shall testify on d interview day....and also pray for more selections dis October of which myself and my loved ones shall be selected...cheers! |
Greetings VisaOfficer I solicit your response to assist someone very close......... Mr A got married to Mrs A in 2003 was selected in 2003 for DV 2004, at there interview in 2004 wit their marriage certificate from d registry and photo album... they were refused visas wit d remark "your original DV lottery was not properly filled in comformance with the rules and regulations of the DV program, and is therefore disqualified. You are not eligibile to participate in the dv-2004 program"....note dat mr A was d principal applicant..sadly, they have been separated for some years but yet to divorce officially... ..miss B intends applying for a US Visa, would it be discoverd that she was there 9yrs ago on a DV visa ...can dis jeorpadise her chances as she wishes to apply as an unmarried woman...or does she have to quote the DV2004 application which they were denied...since she doesn't want to bear Mr A's name, so can she use her maiden name?...also she hasn't had any US visa application since the DV2004 encounter...I look forward to ur sincere response,...thanks and stay good. |
yet to be selected but i still have hope....anything can happen for good...congrats to selectees and top luck @ d interview. |
