PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Job Overview
A Nigerian company that manufactures eco friendly roofing tiles located in Akodo which is 10 minutes drive from Dangote refinery is searching for a highly dedicated and motivated Production Supervisor responsible for Overseeing the day to day operations of the company's manufacturing facility to ensure all manufacturing and production jobs are completed in accordance with the time, cost, targets and quality standards needed to meet company's goals, and expectations.

Job Description & Responsibilities
- Ensure that initiatives developed by management to achieve and maintain world class standards for production are adhered too by all employees.
- To consistently ensure the safety and welfare of all staffs.
- Ensure that departmental costs, efficiency, and quality targets are achieved and maintained.
- Creating of daily and monthly reports.
- React to production line stoppages and breakdowns immediately.
- Ensure smooth running of all production departments.
- Monitor and measure productivity, goals and activity levels.
- Work with managers to implement company's policies and goals.
- Liaise among different departments e.g suppliers, managers, HR etc
- Ensure and monitor that standard operating procedures (SOP) are adhered too by the production team.
- Monitor product standards and ensure quality control standards are adhered too.
- Oversee the production process and prepare a production schedule.
- Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
- Manage and train production staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their duties effectively and safely.

- Collaborate with production team to identify and address process inefficiencies, equipment malfunctions, and other issues that impact production efficiency.
- Create and maintain production schedules, ensuring that they are aligned with customer demand and production targets.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure that safety protocols are being followed and that all equipments are functioning properly.
- Implement machine maintenance schedule.
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed.
- Ensure that all staffs wear their PPE(safety boots, safety goggles and ear plugs at all times on the production floor).
- Maintaining the good housekeeping practice.
- Identify training needs for staff.
- Resolves issues and disputes between employees.
- Review workers performance.

Job Overview
A Nigerian company that manufacturer eco friendly roofing tiles located in Akodo which is 10 minutes drive from Dangote refinery is searching for a highly dedicated machine operator to operate a 10 ton hydraulic stamping press that produces plastic roofing tiles. Quality awareness and accurate production reporting is a major responsibility.

Job Description & Responsibilities
- Operate a hydraulic stamping press with manual loading and unloading.
- Meet and/ or exceed daily production goals.
- Report all machine malfunctions to supervisor.
- Manually pack tiles into packaging containers.
- Strive to produce only quality products.
- Ensure that roofing tiles are placed on gauges every 30 minutes to confirm irregularities or errors.
- Filling out a daily report on the production sheet is required.
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix minor problems on the hydraulic stamping press is required.
- Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty.
- Arrive at work on time and be at your work station ready to work at the start of your shift.
- Perform cleaning duties as required, in order to maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Use of PPE at all times is required.
This include safety boots(steel toe shoes), safety goggles or glasses and ear plugs (hearing protection) must be worn at all times on the production floor.

Competency & Skills
- Ability to organise your workstation.
- Most be articulate: Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Able to effectively communicate with other staffs in a respectful and honest manner.
- Ability to record basic information on a production sheet.
- Basic maths and computer skills are required.

Qualification & Experience
- Diploma from a Polytechnic, technical school or WAEC certificate is acceptable.
- 3 - 4 years experience in Production/manufacturing facility.
- 3-4 years experience working and running machines.
- Experience in plastics manufacturing industry will be a plus.
