Phones / Blackberry OS 10.2.1.1055 Leaks, Lets You Install Android Apps Directly by supersanusi: 12:16pm On Nov 12, 2013
Been a while since I posted a BlackBerry 10 leak, there have been many with a bunch of new features, but most of them aren't far from the officially available BlackBerry 10.2 so I skipped them. Well, that all changes today as a new one worth posting has leaked.

The new leak OS 10.2.1.1055 brings with it a host of new features including an unlocked android Jelly Bean runtime with the ability to directly install android apks, without any conversions or sideloads. This leans towards the earlier information which we shared regarding the possibility of Google Play getting pre-installed on BlackBerry 10.2.1.

The leak also fixed the instagram keyboard issue, and the instagram sideload would allow you upload videos now. Other new features include a new Photo lock system, ability to lock focus in the camera, new smileys for BBM and a bunch of other stuff which you'll find in the list below.

Runtime unlocked
apk files install directly on device without apk to bar conversion or debug token
Customizable quick settings
Group contacts
Quick speed dial on Q10
Music UI changes
Call dialer changes
BBM - vibrate on ping, new emoticons
White balance adjuster
Picture lock password
IBM notes traveler in accounts settings
Full device monitor
New charge icon
Custom contact notifications
Wolfram alpha commands
Battery percentage in peak
Hub pinch gesture works
Instagram video upload works, BlackBerry 10 keyboard works without mods

You should note that while we can attest that this has worked fine on tested devices, it is still a leak and as such, if you choose to install this, you do so at your own risk.

That said you should read this guide if you don't know how to install it (hint: It's really easy) and here are the download links below:

BlackBerry Q5 and Q10

BlackBerry Z10 STL-100-1 (The Nigerian/African Variant)

We'll update with links for the other Z10 variants and the Z30 as soon as we get them.

Phones / BBM Would Be Available On Samsung Galaxy Devices On September 19th For 3 Months by supersanusi: 8:18pm On Sep 16, 2013
About an hour ago, I got the most a tip in the mail saying that BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) would be available on Samsungs Galaxy range of smartphones on the 19th of September. Samsung’s and BlackBerry have already announced that BlackBerry messenger BBM would be part of the messaging hub on the Galaxy range soon, so besides the date, it really isn’t news. I tweeted it, but didn’t make much of it.

A few minutes later, another source let me know that MTN has sent an internal communication to its front-line staff telling them to brace up for customer inquiries following the availability of BBM Samsung Galaxy devices from the 19th. To be certain I have reached out to some contacts and can confirm that the news is indeed legit.

It is unclear if the app would be available on iTunes and Google Play as well on the said date. One source mentioned that the app may be a Samsung exclusive for 3 months but isn’t sure if that is just for Africa or Worldwide.

Update: The exclusive deal is really happening, Samsung just confirmed that to me via twitter.
