Some ppl don get heart attack over this... The sole responsibility of government is to create enabling environment that will attract investments...it doesn't matter whether Ogun is closer to Lagos...if Ogun state did not make use of this advantage, it would not have been able to attract all these investments. And to the mumu displaying pictures from Kano investment.... What is the economic viability of the companies you are showing? Some of those structures are just warehouses...it looks massive, yes I know...but it is EMPTY! Empty in the sense that the turn over and tax being paid to their respective state government is negligible...1 Unilever company in Sagamu interchange in Ogun state is equal to 1000 of those empty structures! |

emmie14:We are not condemning Jonathan administration alone but the whole PDP affair and the PDP migrants in APC and other parties. The level of corruption in Jonathan administration alone is monumental and that has made Nigeria lose investments. Depleted ECA, weakened economy as a result of their lack of will to save! Even madam highly respected Okonjo stated this fact! |
Smooyis:Are you sure you have been to Ogun state lately.... improvements daily, expanded roads, very soon the rail network from Ibadan to Abeokuta, Sagamu to Abeokuta, Iju to Abeokuta would be completed....the survey has been done n work has started.... Ongoing road projects nearing completion in the state. The govt should just focus on improving the Ifo to Iyana Ipaja axis....lobatan.... |
To me, IF THEY DON'T HAVE SENSE, OTHER HAVE. IF APC is not the answer to our Problems, there is no reason going back to the instigators of the problem. I'm not a politician but I would do everything not to have PDP in Government in Nigeria. The greatest tragedy that can befall a nation is for her citizens to suffer collective amnesia. I believe PDP believes Nigerians have short memories, if not, Ibori would not have been included in their convention committee and Jonathan would not have been allowed to talk (He ended up indicting himself as usual anyway). For those who may have forgotten, kindly joggle your memories with the following words on marble and you will agree with me that what happened in Eagle square on saturday was nothing but gathering of rogues. Happy reading: 1. I acted based on Jonathan's instruction - Dasuki 2. I didn't give order - Jonathan 3. I collected 350M from Dasuki for consultation - Iyorchia Ayu 4. I only collected $30,000 from Dasuki not N100m - Bode George 5. I got N4.6b from Dasuki for spiritual purposes - Bafarawa 6. I got N650M from Dasuki for my Abuja burnt office - Thisday Obaigbena. 7. I got N2.1b from Dasuki for publicity - Dokpesi 8. I got another N100m from Yuguda he didn't tell me from where - Bafarawa. 9. I gave N100m each to Odili, Jim Nwobodo Bode George and others - Yuguda 10. The president asked me to change N10B to foreign currency for PDP delegates - Dasuki 11. My boss asked me to get $11M from the CBN - Dasuki's account officer. 12. I got order from above to pay Tompolo N13B for Maritime university land. - Nimasa DG. 13. 950m was shared in my house -- Shekarau With all this looting and many more revealed, some people are still shouting no sign of change yet, they even say it's political persecution. But I believe, it is the right thing to do. If you believe too, send this to other people to garner more support for the fight against corruption and looting in our nation. There must be consequences for such crimes otherwise Nigeria will not develop. WHERE ARE THE #WAILERS? "Over 20 billion dollars unremitted to the Federation account, and if nothing is done by 2015 upward, Nigeria will know what economic crisis is" *~ Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi* "Whoever wins 2015 will NEVER find it easy to govern. Over 30 trillion is mismanaged, unaccounted for or missing under Jonathan." *~ Prof Charles Soludo* "Our reserve is depleted and our savings are squandered. Our nation is in trouble." *~ Dr Oby Ezekwesili.* "For seven months, NNPC did not remit any money into federation account. When I called as a sitting governor and major oil producing state, Deziani Alison Madueke refused to pick my calls." *~ Godswill Akpabio* "I told them to save ahead of eventualities but Jonathan had no political will to do so and this is the reason why we are in crisis, because we squandered our boom." *~ Okonjo Iweala* "Okonjo-Iweala, Sanusi urged us to save but we state Governors refused to save for the unseen future during the tenure of Goodluck Jonathan, despite warning from economic experts." *~ Peter Obi* "Jonathan is a blessed ATM machine that doesn't have secret pin number" *~ Bala Mohammed* * Tompolo was paid 13Billion.! * Ex-CDS,Alex Badeh dug a pit toilet to hide $32m. * Patience Jonathan is claiming $31m, she has sued the Nigerian state. * Femi Fani-Kayode took 740M. * Dasuki used trucks to load over $35B from the CBN. * Olisa Metuh took 400M. * Aziboala, GEJ's cousin took 6B naira. * Nenadi Usman took 3.5B naira. * Fayose took 3B naira. * Obanikoro took 4Billion naira. * Olu Falae took 100M naira. * Tony Anenih - 400M naira. * Oritsejafor - $35M * Former Air Chief Amosu - 2Billion naira. * Lucky Igbinedion-16B naira. *Bode-George and Dabo -100B naira * Jolly Nyame-2.4B naira. * Joshua Dariye-700M naira. *Nyesom Wike stole #4b. * Diezzani with $20 billion missing oil money? 15 billon dollars missing from arms fund, 10 billion naria, converted to dollars and given as gift to delegates of PDP Nation convention, Bafarawa collected 3 billion for spiritual purposes , 12. 7 billon naria for deceased NEPA staff grew wings and disappeared, 20 billion dollars missing from NNPC accounts, 23 billon naira as bribe to INEC staffs to rig the general election. The list is endless. They only left what they can't carry or unable to lay their hands on. The list continues..... Recession didn't just happen, people looted Nigeria into RECESSION happening. The vice chancellors of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, Prof. Joseph Ahaneku, on Thursday said more than 40 percent of the staff of the university spend more time watching pornographic videos and other illicit films at work than doing the work for which they are employed. The VC said he was able to monitor the development in offices on campus from his own network. things. The VC said, “This is one reason we shut down YouTube from the university’s resource centre. “People should be made to be conscientious as well as do what they have been assigned to do and eschew indolence. “There have been a lot of abuses on facilities that, ordinarily, should aid staff in their jobs and as a result plans s are underway to remove the televisions in central offices. He said when he visited such offices, rather than find staff watching news programmes to obtain good information, they were engrossed watching illicit videos, thereby implying that some of them did not need the facilities. Ahaneku added, “Spending government time without doing what one is paid for is an act of corruption.” He said the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit of the university was working to curb corrupt practices among employees and students. http://punchng.com/over-40-of-nnamdi-azikiwe-varsity-staff-watch-pornography-at-work-vc-alleges/ |
This is not news at all.....we all know that the NNPC and NPA are the dwelling places of corruption in Nigeria. This shows that FG did not act on the information they got last year where it was revealed that all these agencies are sidelining the FG. Check out this news from Nov 18, 2016.....it's the same with what we are reading now. https://www.nairaland.com/3471587/fg-revenue-generating-agencies-loot |

Joel3:War is never fair! We hope we don't witness such atrocious acts again in this country. But Buhari needs to be careful before he drags this nation into another civil war. Simple dialogue and good governance would solve some of these challenges and put the agitators to rest. Nigeria is too big for a section to control, we need a more inclusive and robust governance....and agitation will not get us there! |
Nowadays, we see all sorts of things.... This is indeed dehumanizing, if you find him guilty then let the law take it's course. Orisirisi!!! |
Op if you listen to what people are saying here, you will only regret it. Fine, you have to explain to your dad better but he is only concerned about you and your spiritual life. Do you know what it means to lose someone. I pray your dad doesn't die soon or else you would wish so much for more than just one more chance to talk to him. Let him understand better how it is....but really if it was raining and cold, won't you still go to work?? We are all guilty of this, including me, we shouldn't second rate the place of God in our lives. |
Lakewood Church in Houston is accepting victims of Hurricane Harvey who need a place to shelter, the megachurch said this morning, after it received backlash for not initially welcoming in evacuees. Joel Osteen, the church's famed pastor, tweeted today, "Lakewood’s doors are open and we are receiving anyone who needs shelter." and the church is waiting for city officials to designate it as a shelter so it can obtain cots and other assistance. (The spokesperson said the church doesn't have showers or a kitchen.) At first it was difficult for church staff to get to the facility from their homes, the spokesperson explained. Moreover, the facility did not initially shelter people because it would be too dangerous to have people on a lower level, which could flood, the spokesperson added. Now that the floodwaters have receded, the church decided to bring in evacuees, the spokesperson said. Now, in the wake of Harvey, which tore through the Houston area last weekend, forcing evacuations, wiping out homes and killing at least eight, several school buses filled with evacuees arrived today at Lakewood Church, some toting their belongings in plastic garbage bags. On Sunday, Lakewood Church posted on Facebook that it was "inaccessible due to severe flooding" and directed displaced residents to shelters in the city. The church can hold more than 16,000 people and has been previously active in relief efforts, including sheltering displaced victims during Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The Facebook post courted criticism on social media, where photos appeared to suggest that the massive building, once home to the NBA's Houston Rockets, had not been damaged by the torrential rains. Osteen insisted in a statement Monday evening that he and his church were "prepared to house people once shelters reach capacity." "We have never closed our doors. We will continue to be a distribution center for those in need," the statement said. It added, "Lakewood will be a value to the community in the aftermath of this storm in helping our fellow citizens rebuild their lives." https://www.yahoo.com/gma/joel-osteens-church-says-receiving-houston-residents-shelter-163003228--abc-news-topstories.html |
