InvestmentRe: Lagos Real Sector Investments Moving To Ogun State by Suspense12(m): 3:52am On Dec 19, 2017
Some ppl don get heart attack over this...

The sole responsibility of government is to create enabling environment that will attract investments...it doesn't matter whether Ogun is closer to Lagos...if Ogun state did not make use of this advantage, it would not have been able to attract all these investments.

And to the mumu displaying pictures from Kano investment.... What is the economic viability of the companies you are showing?

Some of those structures are just warehouses...it looks massive, yes I know...but it is EMPTY!

Empty in the sense that the turn over and tax being paid to their respective state government is negligible...1 Unilever company in Sagamu interchange in Ogun state is equal to 1000 of those empty structures!

8. Collation of election result is now mainly electronic, as transmitted unit results will help to determine final results on real time basis.

9. INEC is now mandated to record details of electoral materials – quantities, serial numbers used to conduct elections (for proper tracking).

10. A political party whose candidate dies after commencement of an election and before the declaration of the result of that election now has a 14-day window to conduct a fresh primary in order for INEC to conduct a fresh election within 21 days of the death of the party’s candidate;

State Independent Electoral Commissions can no longer conduct elections that do not meet minimum standards of credibility.

17. Any INEC official who disobeys a tribunal order for inspection of electoral materials shall be imprisoned for 2 years!

Oga. When did Nigerian's economic and political problems started? During Jonathan administration that lasted for 5years. Is sambo Dasuki the only criminal in Nigerian polity and public Services? How on earth did you forget people who initiated the architectural design that plunged Nigeria into hell fire and click your self-pity hands around Jonathans 5years plus in Aso rock forgetting that Nigeria turned 57yrs last October. Mathematically 57-5=52. It baffles me when people like you are shouting about Jonathan And Dasuki. What about Babangida, Abacha loots. Obasanjo is an angel? What about Messiah Buhari who overthrew democratically elected government of Shehu Shangri accusing him of indiscipline and embezzlement? Such embezzlement is a kind of boost to Nigerian economy? In which country, Uganda? Let us be fair and leave Jonathan alone. Let it be that he traded in the same market as his predecessors. Goodday.

(
We are not condemning Jonathan administration alone but the whole PDP affair and the PDP migrants in APC and other parties.

The level of corruption in Jonathan administration alone is monumental and that has made Nigeria lose investments. Depleted ECA, weakened economy as a result of their lack of will to save!

Even madam highly respected Okonjo stated this fact!

PoliticsTragedy Of Allowing These Looters Back In Power by Suspense12(op): 9:06am On Dec 13, 2017
To me, IF THEY DON'T HAVE SENSE, OTHER HAVE.

IF APC is not the answer to our Problems, there is no reason going back to the instigators of the problem.
I'm not a politician but I would do everything not to have PDP in Government in Nigeria.

The greatest tragedy that can befall a nation is for her citizens to suffer collective amnesia. I believe PDP believes Nigerians have short memories, if not, Ibori would not have been included in their convention committee and Jonathan would not have been allowed to talk (He ended up indicting himself as usual anyway).
For those who may have forgotten, kindly joggle your memories with the following words on marble and you will agree with me that what happened in Eagle square on saturday was nothing but gathering of rogues.
Happy reading:

1. I acted based on Jonathan's instruction - Dasuki

2. I didn't give order - Jonathan

3. I collected 350M from Dasuki for consultation - Iyorchia Ayu

4. I only collected $30,000 from Dasuki not N100m - Bode George

5. I got N4.6b from Dasuki for spiritual purposes - Bafarawa

6. I got N650M from Dasuki for my Abuja burnt office - Thisday Obaigbena.

7. I got N2.1b from Dasuki for publicity - Dokpesi

8. I got another N100m from Yuguda he didn't tell me from where - Bafarawa.

9. I gave N100m each to Odili, Jim Nwobodo Bode George and others - Yuguda

10. The president asked me to change N10B to foreign currency for PDP delegates - Dasuki

11. My boss asked me to get $11M from the CBN - Dasuki's account officer.

12. I got order from above to pay Tompolo N13B for Maritime university land. - Nimasa DG.

13. 950m was shared in my house -- Shekarau

With all this looting and many more revealed, some people are still shouting no sign of change yet, they even say it's political persecution.

But I believe, it is the right thing to do.
If you believe too, send this to other people to garner more support for the fight against corruption and looting in our nation. There must be consequences for such crimes otherwise Nigeria will not develop.

EducationOver 40% Of Nnamdi Azikiwe Varsity Staff Watch Pornography At Work, VC Alleges by Suspense12(op): 6:48pm On Nov 30, 2017
The vice chancellors of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, Prof. Joseph Ahaneku, on Thursday said more than 40 percent of the staff of the university spend more time watching pornographic videos and other illicit films at work than doing the work for which they are employed.

The VC said he was able to monitor the development in offices on campus from his own network. things.

The VC said, “This is one reason we shut down YouTube from the university’s resource centre.

“People should be made to be conscientious as well as do what they have been assigned to do and eschew indolence.

“There have been a lot of abuses on facilities that, ordinarily, should aid staff in their jobs and as a result plans s are underway to remove the televisions in central offices.

He said when he visited such offices, rather than find staff watching news programmes to obtain good information, they were engrossed watching illicit videos, thereby implying that some of them did not need the facilities.

Ahaneku added, “Spending government time without doing what one is paid for is an act of corruption.”

He said the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit of the university was working to curb corrupt practices among employees and students.

PoliticsRe: ICYMI: EFCC Inspects Diezani’s N7bn Dubai Properties, Moves For Forfeiture by Suspense12(m): 12:43am On Sep 19, 2017
alfanio:
Operatives of the Economic and Financial
Crimes Commission have visited two
mansions in Dubai allegedly belonging to a
former Minister of Petroleum Resources ,
Diezani Alison- Madueke.
The properties , located at E 146 Emirates Hill
and J5 Emirates Hill, are said to be worth
74, 000 ,000 dirham (N 7 .1 bn) .
Emirates Hill, which has been described as
the Beverly Hills of the United Arab Emirates,
is home to some of the richest men in the
world including billionaire Chairman of the
Stallion Group, Sunil Vaswani .
Others , who are Diezani’s neighbours, include
the immediate past Prime Minister of
Pakistan , Nawaz Sharif; a former President of
Pakistan , Asif Ali Zardari; and Robert Mugabe
junior , the son of the President of Zimbabwe
and one of Africa ’s longest serving leaders,
President, Robert Mugabe .
A source within the EFCC told our
correspondent that the anti-graft agency was
already applying for the forfeiture of the
properties through the Office of the Attorney
General of the Federation .
If the commission is able to clear all legal
hurdles and ensure the final forfeiture of the
property, it would bring the total amount of
cash and assets finally recovered from
Diezani to $ 200 m ( N 70bn) .
A detective , who did not want his name in
print , said the anti -graft agency would exploit
the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty the
Federal Government had recently signed with
the government of the UAE .
The agreements, signed by President
Muhammadu Buhari , are Agreement on
Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters ,
Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Civil
and Commercial Matters, Agreement on the
Transfer of Sentenced Persons and an
Extradition Treaty .
The source stated , “We have informed the
UAE authorities that from our investigation ,
we believe Diezani bought the properties
with the proceeds of crime. The whole
process is still ongoing but with the MLAT ,
signed by President Buhari, it has made work
a lot easier for us.”
The detective explained that before the
Federal Government signed the treaty, the
UAE law prevented foreign officials from
having access to properties in the country
without the express permission of its owner.
He added that with the new treaty , the UAE
authorities were more cooperative and would
readily give information of properties from
their Land Registry System.
Meanwhile, the Chairman, Presidential
Advisory Committee Against Corruption,
Prof . Itse Sagay( SAN), who hailed Buhari for
signing the treaty, told The PUNCH that some
corrupt senators , who also owned properties
in Dubai , would be made to forfeit them .
Sagay also disagreed with some legal experts
who said the Dubai treaty would need to be
ratified by the National Assembly before it
could be activated.
He said, “ The UAE MLAT is not a treaty as
such but an agreement; so, it will be operated
without their (senators ) approval.
“ So, let that start worrying them (senators ) .
He ( President) will implement it directly . So,
those of them that have acquired properties in
Dubai and other Middle -East countries should
kiss their properties good bye . ”

War is never fair!
We hope we don't witness such atrocious acts again in this country.

But Buhari needs to be careful before he drags this nation into another civil war. Simple dialogue and good governance would solve some of these challenges and put the agitators to rest.

Nigeria is too big for a section to control, we need a more inclusive and robust governance....and agitation will not get us there!

PoliticsJoel Osteen's Houston Church Receives Evacuees After Backlash On Social Media by Suspense12(op): 1:48am On Aug 30, 2017
Lakewood Church in Houston is accepting victims of Hurricane Harvey who need a place to shelter, the megachurch said this morning, after it received backlash for not initially welcoming in evacuees.
Joel Osteen, the church's famed pastor, tweeted today, "Lakewood’s doors are open and we are receiving anyone who needs shelter."

and the church is waiting for city officials to designate it as a shelter so it can obtain cots and other assistance. (The spokesperson said the church doesn't have showers or a kitchen.)

At first it was difficult for church staff to get to the facility from their homes, the spokesperson explained.
Moreover, the facility did not initially shelter people because it would be too dangerous to have people on a lower level, which could flood, the spokesperson added. Now that the floodwaters have receded, the church decided to bring in evacuees, the spokesperson said.

Now, in the wake of Harvey, which tore through the Houston area last weekend, forcing evacuations, wiping out homes and killing at least eight, several school buses filled with evacuees arrived today at Lakewood Church, some toting their belongings in plastic garbage bags.

On Sunday, Lakewood Church posted on Facebook that it was "inaccessible due to severe flooding" and directed displaced residents to shelters in the city. The church can hold more than 16,000 people and has been previously active in relief efforts, including sheltering displaced victims during Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
The Facebook post courted criticism on social media, where photos appeared to suggest that the massive building, once home to the NBA's Houston Rockets, had not been damaged by the torrential rains.
Osteen insisted in a statement Monday evening that he and his church were "prepared to house people once shelters reach capacity."
"We have never closed our doors. We will continue to be a distribution center for those in need," the statement said.
It added, "Lakewood will be a value to the community in the aftermath of this storm in helping our fellow citizens rebuild their lives."
