you can get a part time job with it like I earlier said because you would be seen as a student but if you are coming to SA to work its better you opt for a workers permit that way you can secure a job and work full time.

it will cost you about 10k rands,I did a student permit for 7k rand here in SA and I was given 3 years an agent helped out in the process

you can get it a MMA just ask any security operative at the airport they will direct u,its just 500naira as at 3wks ago when I got one

collinsfbi: Must you open an account to do that, look for anyone that has GTB master card and make use of it, the card will not be charged.

collinsfbi: You can use GTB naira master card (ATM), some sites won't charge your card but make sure you read through very well before booking as some hotel sites will charge your card for deposit.

I went to Gtb today to open an account and they said the card will be issued to me in 2 wks time I dnt knw wat to do because I have already booked my flight

collinsfbi: Try www.booking.com meanwhile search for hotel within SA where you can make booking without payment but be aware that you will have to make use of you either a credit or debit card (Good if you have GBT master card).

collinsfbi: You can present the hotel reservation you used for the visa processing if it's paid, valid and correspond with your flight itinerary but if you intend to stay longer that the number of days initially decleared in reservation used during visa processing, you can as well use another reservation without pay as long as it correspond with your flight itinerary when flying.

I already got d visa and am flying,buh they said I shud hold a copy of a hotel reservation and I do not intend stayin in one cos am going to stay wif a frnd,dats why am asking if am just to reserve or pay for d booking so tins wnt go amiss at d airport.I nid ur response still

dahonestboss: why not consider eastern europe? with 1M, you can do your master degree there and migrate easily from there afterwards to your choice destination country LEGALLY. usa or canada might not be possible with that amount.
