Abubakar Case History:Keeping Foreign Corruption out of United States: The PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubabakar was indicted by the report which Executive Summary was initially made public after a public hearing by the US Senate Committee headed by Senator Carl Levin , listed Abubakar among the four persons tagged ‘Politically Exposed Persons’(PEP), who were used as case studies.
Offshore Wire Transfers. Jennifer Douglas, a U.S. citizen and the fourth wife of Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President and former presidential candidate in Nigeria, helped her husband bring more than $40 million in suspect funds into the United States from 2000 to 2008, through wire transfers from offshore corporations. The Securities and Exchange Commission has alleged in a 2008 civil complaint that Ms. Douglas received $2.8 million in bribe payments from a German conglomerate, Siemens AG, which has acknowledged making the payments.

Bola Tinubu Drug Trafficking and Money Laundering Case:
After a protracted litigation in which Bola Tinubu claimed that the monies legitimately belonged to him, his wife, Oluremi Tinubu and his surrogate mother, one Alhaja Mogaji, Bola Tinubu finally opted for a stipulated settlement with the U.S government. According to the settlement Order dated September 15, 1993; Hon. Judge John A Nordberg ordered that the sum of $460,000 held by Bola Tinubu in The First Heritage Bank account be forfeited to the United States Government

In an affidavit sworn to by Kevin Moss, a Special Agent with the United States Internal Revenue Service, criminal investigation division in support of the verified complaint for forfeiture of Bola Tinubu’s moneys held in various Bank accounts, the agent gave a vivid account of how he came to the conclusion that the funds were proceeds of narcotics transaction in violation of the U.S law.

The investigation also revealed that in December 1989, Akande took Bola Tinubu to First Heritage bank where Bola Tinubu opened an individual money market. In the account opening application, Tinubu, gave his address as 7504 South Stewart, Chicago, the same address used previously by Akande and his company, Globe-Link. This is the same address used as the drop-off point for packages from Nigeria that contained the white heroin. According to bank records, Bola Tinubu also opened a joint checking account in his name and the name of his wife, Oluremi Tinubu. Mrs. Tinubu had previously opened a joint Bank account also in the same bank with Abdrey Akande, the wife of the heroin kingpin, Adegboyega Mueez Akande.

How can Bola Tinubu win over opponents that call him Bobo Chicago and Tinubu.

Bobo Chicago: The origin of this name was due to his indictment and forefeiture of $460,000 in a Chicago, Illinois court in October 5, 1993 for helping a drug cartel that were directors in his company Compass Finance launder proceeds from their drug trade.

Tinubu's criminal record is clear as daylight. But the truth is that many politicians have dirty linen somewhere hidden. My issue with him being president is that he is not a good administrator. Besides mobilising IGR in Lagos (no big achievement in a former FCT with 20 million people) he has no legacies for future generations to point at except MC Oluomo and the army of touts smoking weed all over the place. No infrastructure or transport systems. Absolutely nothing!
