Well, I don't know about being the spokesman for DISCOS....I'm just the customer.

But one thing I know...once upon a time, we paid sky high prcies for GSM services....which were very poor back then, and thanks to the government not intervening,. the GSM companies made a profit...which they then invested in new equipment.

Which is why you and I can type this from home, instead of back in 2005...going to an internet cafe, and spending money for the privilege of all night browsing.

Honestly, you Nigerians. If Buhari brought in price controls for your own business...you people will complain.

If DISCOS are allowed to charge what they want....YES , we will pay high prices...but like GSM, the money will flow in and investment would rise, power generation will rise..and then prices would fall.

We generate 7000mw on a good day. Lagos as at 2010 needed 10000MW. Where are we going to get the money? Why did you people keep quiet when GEJ offered you the chance to say NO to the disco privatisation?? Why are you grumbling about it.?? Did you exepct DISCOS to be bought and run by Mother Theresa clones??

Mind you, we this is far different from the TElecoms sector.
The truth is that the telecoms privatization brought about competition unlike the power privatization where each DISCO has absolute Monopoly and no competition

There was nothing wrong with GEJ privatising power.

What was wrong was that he passed a law that in essence made government to set prices for DISCOS. As a result DISCOS are not earning enough (one has even declared force majeure and pulled out).

Economics cannot be run on price controls. Infact it is this price control mechanisim that GEJ put in place (with good intentions, but bad economics)...that is preventing foreign and even local investment in power.

Then there is the fact most Nigerians don't pay for power...making things much har I'llder.

It's unfortunate that despite the obvious we choose to blindly support people on the basis of religion or ethnicity.
GEJ didn't get the privatization right.
The DISCOs didn't have the financial wherewithal to purchase the companies.
The tarrifs were to be increased by NERC following the fulfillment of some conditions by the DISCos especially metering.
The DISCOs failed to invest but wanted am increase it tarrif, that will be totally exploitative.
GEJ is still to blame for not privatizing rightly

Dear all

I and my husband are just 2years in marriage.

Every time we have issues concerning anything, he is always telling me to pack my things and leave his house or he will say things like you are off no importance to me and you bring me no value and stuff and stuff. But after a while he will apologize and say he doesn’t mean it.

Last month, what caused our fight was because my mum sent some food stuffs to us because she traveled and got them cheaply. He was angry because he felt that was disrespectful. And the argument degenerated to him telling me to leave his house,

i got tired, called his bluff and left the house but everyone advised me to go back and make it work., well except my dad. Mind you, this was the 5th time.

On my return, we talked about it(like we always do) and i thought it was genuine, and i said i was going to give it one more try.

Today, we had an argument because of baby food. I told hime to buy on his way back. I couldn’t go out because the whole road was terribly flooded .

But he didn't buy it, and that lead to an argument. And the next thing he told me was to fuc.k off and leave. Or he is leaving. As a matter of fact, he just left the house now 12:00am.

I am actually tired of it all. and right now, i don't think i have any love left for him or this marriage.
I think he is cheating on me and for some reason i am beginning to look outside and crave attention, love and respect from someone else.

I don't want my child to grow up seeing me treated like this but most importantly , i don't want her to think it is okay to accept being disrespected and under valued like this.

Married people is this one of the challenges in marriage or what?
Why cant we have an argument that doesn’t lead to leave my house, i dont need you, you bring me no value and all

Also we are very very comfortable, i work and he works too.
Emotionally, i am done.

It's one of those things, try to do your own best.
Marriage is hard work

He and his group are claiming the government tried to assassinate him using unknown doctors in India. That's their claim. See the other thread on the topic.

The government should not even attempt to tell him which doctors to make use of because of his health condition and age and the sensitivity of the matter. Any mishap by the doctors, the government would carry responsibility. Let him choose his own doctors and let them treat him or kill him. That would be his business. Why drink panadol for another man's headache?
Think before u post or u can curse yourself.
He was never sick, he had other plans, why would he request for a 5 star hotel.
He just dey fake I'll health, useless people

It is safe and handy.

By management, I mean not only to use antibiotics and stop but on further instructions do another confirmatory test to check reactivity and specificity where it is significant.

OK, I'll check in with a doc before the end of this week

Long stayed syphilis is unhealthy to the unborn child as it could lead to severe brain development and deafness. Once one has been in her pregnancy, it is advisable that she makes an appointment with a doctor for treatment and management. A usual treatment for pregnant women may require the use of Penicillin G antibiotics..

Don't self-treat,see a doctor.
Hw safe is it?
I'm not self treating .
My main concern is whether the treatment is safe for the baby or not.
What do u mean by the management part

What do you think being reactive to VDRL mean ?

Let me add to it again malaria can lead to False-is-positive result.

Syphllis I think, does it require immediate treatment or its dangerous to be treated considering the pregnancu
