Business / Re: Which Business Venture Can I Run With 15 Million Naira by Swiftkey(m): 11:20pm On Oct 17, 2021
starstunna1313:
Good morning my fellow Nlanders… Please I have 18 million Naira which I mapped out for business investment. But I want to first of all invest 10-15 million Naira first and keep the remaining 3 million aside. But my major challenge now is which business or “lucrative” business I can invest in. Bearing in mind that I’m also leaving the country in a month time, I’m 31 and this is my first time of trying to venture in a business with such amount.
Please I need suggestions and advice.

Thanks in anticipation.

MOD: please push to front page

Guys thanks for the advice and ideas. The ones that sent me email I do not know how to access it. I have been checking my mail but I can not see them

Op, I will advice you be very careful about the type of investment you'd choose. It's better you go for less riskier investments for now especially because you may not be able to monitor the projects when you aren't in Nigeria. You could choose to keep the money in a fixed deposit account that'd offer a better rate (I will be willing to help with that).
Best of luck

Fixed deposit will charge withholding tax

Yeah, but it's just on the accrued interest, 10%
Investment / Re: Where Can I Invest =N=2m? by Swiftkey(m): 7:13am On Oct 07, 2021
Op, you could still put the money in fixed deposit till you make up your mind on what business you want to do
At least you'd still get something small on it.
I can help you with that in case you wish to

You are the best, this finally worked for me. I was ousted at the strength assessment stage last year. Thanks a bunch
chrisfocus:

Hi.

So, I took the assessment yesterday and scaled through. Here are a few tips I followed, I hope it helps.

- Ensure asking your manager questions or to help you for a task is always close to your last options. They want to see you try on your own, to take initiative first before going to ask for help.

- When there's a chance given to you by your manager to do something you're not really confident enough you can do, make sure you don't reject it. Rejecting it should be your last option.

- Show that you enjoy NETWORKING and COLLABORATION and HELPING others in the team. If a team member asks you for help, asking them to go to another person or turning them down should come last or close to last.

- When you have to speak with clients, you have to show you can be prepared for any question that might arise in the meeting. Even if you realised impromptu, you still have to figure a way to make sure you don't lose the client.

Like for instance there's a situational question of going to a meeting with a senior colleague who calls to let you know they won't be coming anymore and you have to go alone. Even though it's the Senior colleague who knows the elements of the meeting well. You have to still show them that you can salvage the situation and not lose the client. Basically, just show that you are at least always in the loop regardless if you're the one on top of a situation or not.

- Also show that your work is priority. But when there is a clash between your work and a chance to network in one situational question for instance, make sure your answers at the top are your work followed by a possibility to still network.
