Good, that makes it easy for us to trash them again. |
Madam get your info right next time. ![]() |
django1: This is why I say our U17 boys aren't as good as the old one, even the coach wasn't happy with them. This is just their first international game. Too early to conclude. U don't know how tough the DR Congo boys are. After all d last team could nt beat CIV at 2 attempts and still went on to win d WC. |
kultimate009: 32 teams played in the world cup and they ranked Nigeria 34? I thought the best 32 teams in the world competed @ d finals....Spain didn't qualify for last 16 so Spain should drop out of top 16 in FIFA ranking? When will people understand dat the ranking is done based on results obtained over the last 4yrs and nt jst one tournament. |
So what is d final score? |
tosscash1: BIAFRANS MAKING US PROUD IN GLASCOW ![]() |
jhidey08: dey're playing already. Dey kicked off by 3.30pmWhat's d final score? |
27th? I thought it was today. |
It depends on her pocket. If she can afford both let her go for big for nothing. The more recent the better. Btw the big for nothing range extended to 2006 as against the 2002-2005 range u mentioned. |
My father told me stories abt this war. Nothing is forgotten. Hmmmmmm... |
Pls when is the Bayern Munich vs Warri Wolves game? |
hardbody: ....Like i Care.....Must u comment? |
The Mercator projection could have been effected due to the sphericity of the Earth. When u are positioned for instance at d equator and look towards the North pole it will seem as if the continents taper with increased offsets from the eaquator. This tapering results in an apparent reduction in size of the continents towards the North Pole. Mercator projection was was used to correct for this effect. However it later came to the realization of cartographers that the Mercator projection has an over correction effect on the world map, thereby making the continents towards the North and South Pole bigger than they really are. |
Capableben: . Pls which school did u finish from sir? Does school really matter when it comes to employmentI finished from Olabisi Onabanjo University. Your school is nt much of importance. What matters more is ur class of degree. |
rottable: . Thank bro, i am inspired by these your comment.U are welcome. I just want to ensure that your minds dnt get poluted by -ve articles. |
Abraham2013: Sincerely speaking, in 2010 do u tink dat d SE of 2010 would hav defeated d USA team of 2010?To b candid the 2010 team is nt much different from the 2014 team. The Sani Keita kick cost us a 2nd round qualification. If we had won dat Greece match which we were on course to do b4 the Keitastrophy the 2-2 draw against S.Korea would have been enough for Nigeria to go through. Talking abt the US team of 2010, I can't categorically tell whether we would have beaten them or nt. Just like asking whether the Ghana team of 2014 could have beaten the French team of 2014. Football is no mathematics, book makers have been proven wrong on several occasions in the WC. |
Abraham2013: Bros dere is a difference between playing well and losing with playing badly and losing. Nobody will say algerians did not giv dere best b/cos dey played well and lost. In any game, dere must be a winner and a loser, buh d most important tin is dat u play to d best of ur abilities. The earlier you people realise dat Nigeria is nt among d power houses in football the better. U can't simply give what u dnt have. We simply lack that quality to go beyond where we got to. Yes, 3 African teams have made it to d quarter finals. Check out d teams dey played in 2nd round: Cameroun vs Colombia Senegal vs Sweden Ghana vs USA. Forget FIFA ranking we know d top 8 footballing nations in the world. And imho they in no particular order are: Brazil Germany Spain Argentina Italy Holland France England or Portugal. If any of d ealier mentioned African team had had to play any of these top 8/9 teams in the 2nd round do u think history would b what it is today? African teams simply lack what it takes to go beyond d quarter finals. They only get to d quarter finals when dey play against a Grade B team in likes of Colombia, Sweden and USA. |
Mcweber: talking bout Costa Rica, they played well and that doesn't mean the super eagles had a poor tournament. if we had a poor tournament, what bout Italy, England with their army of stars scored only 2 goals in the competition , the same number of goals our very own Musa scored in the competition and even Portugal with their world best all left the competition at the group stage and not to talk of the Spanish team that had a disastrous outing at the mundial. And we loosing to a better team isn't really a bad outing.........not like we were expecting the boys to bring back the trophyStill talking abt Costa Rica, they got to d Qfinal cos dey played Greece in 2nd round. If they had to play d likes of Holland, Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Chile or even France do u think dey would have made it? |
jayseehe: I'm not talking about how far they went, it's how well they played(performance)How they played? Nigerians sef. Even in out poorest game against Iran, Nigeria dominated for 90mins. Go and rewatch the Nig vs Bisnia game and look at statistics as well and tell me Nigeria was nt d better side. Against France, Nigeria dominated for most of the first half, creating more scoring chances, even had a case for a penalty. We started d 2nd half also as d better side until Onazi's injury. The only team dat dominated Nigeria was Argentina of which Nigeria even finished stronger. Every team has a playing style that suits them. Nigeria had never produced fast running teams (except at junior levels). The SE Eagles simply went to play a typical Nigerian style that involves slowing the tempo and catching ur opponent on the break. Mikel was simply instructed to break down d tempo and then quickly release a pass to any forward who is in an attacking position. |
Adikam: they have poor perfomance in round 16 they just play the match like street match very slow.if not we would hav say that nigeria tried in round 16 bt fail to qualify only osaze that you nairalander use to insult were very serious in the gameHow can you be talking like this? Was Nigeria nt in control until Nigeria's Midfield strong room, Onazi, was pulled down? Besides, u cannot compare the calibre of players the French paraded to that of Nigeria. U know na. That's y as said we got as far as the quality we had in the team. That team was nt a quarter final material. |
jayseehe: one thing I don't like about Kesh is the fact he is too cocky.... despite super eagles poor performance in the world cupOga, Super Eagles did not have a poor performance at the WC.Were u expecting them to lift the Cup? Imho, Nigeria got as far as they can get with the crop of players they have. Round of 16 is just a fair result. |
Good. Continuity is the key. Keshi's team is work in progress. He is also work in progress cos he is gaining experience. |
Ok |
yuzjet: Thanks for the info. But am sorry, all these aren't famous like the 15 brothers in the article. Most of those people u listed are nt famous to Nigerians. My own list has house hold names in Nigeria. For them to be famous to 160Million people (Nigerians) den dey must be really famous. ![]() |

caseless: is she that good?Didn't u see her at this yr's FIFA U17 WC? She was Nigeria's highest goal scorer with 3 goals even though she is an attacking Midfielder. |
caseless: Uchena kanu?Yeah she and Chinwe Ihezue played in this yr's Fifa U17 WC. I hope Uche Kanu can live up to the U20 standard after performing so well at U17. |
Unemployed youths should not have this defeatist attitude that the only way to get a job is by connection. The truth and whole truth still remains that a good number of companies still recruit based on merit. Fact that u know someone who never wrote any test and got a job in a company does nt mean that there are no people who ever get jobs through the transparent recruitment process. My advice to fresh graduates is that don't pay attention to people with the "u need connection to get the job" attitude. They will make u feel like a loser and defeated even before the job search. Mind the kind of job seekers u associate urself with or listen to. Believe me when ur mind is defeated ur life will be defeated. MOST companies still recruit on merit. I was once in the labour market. I have moved from one establishement to the other. I never knew anyone. The truth is people who probably didn't do well in school are using this "no connection no job" lies to console themselves and make u feel like all ur study efforts were in vain. Keep searching, keep preparing for aptitude tests and interviews and b persistent. Believe in God and very importantly also believe in urself and that dream or desired job will be urs. |
