Please for the computer gurus in the house I'd want you guys to help me out with this issue..

I just got myself a laptop and it has been configured for browsing and I'll want to use my phone to surf the web with it. I went to computer village and met a guy who stuffed his shop with different computer accessories and told him I need a USB cable to connect to my phone for browsing. He gave me a Kodak USB and told me the USB works well with any laptop as long as it has been configured. I took home, connected it to my phone and laptop and tethered it for connectivity but to my dismay it didnt work.
I use an Acer model Laptop with Vista installed in it and a Samsung Galaxy GT S7262. Please I will to know if there is a special USB cord that I can buy and return the one I bought.

Does your pc display identifying network when your mouse hovers over the wifi icon in your task bar, if it does, then know you are having a dhcp problem, try editing your ipv4 values. Just let me know if this applies to you and I will tell you where to go from there

Your wireless adapter users an older protocol probably 802.11b/g while the wifi access point uses the recent 802.11n. Change your wifi adapter to 802.11n or buy an external adapter that uses 802.11n.

If his adapter uses an older protocol, he would not even be able to find the network not to talk about connecting

I bought a BlackBerry Q10 last two week and since then I've been having issues with the phone,after fully charging the phone the battery drains up so quickly which won't last up to 5 hours and the phone heats up even on standby..I've already bought another battery for the phone but the problem still persist..The heating up is what drives me crazy and it gets worse by the day.

Brother rollback to windows defender, update the definition and it will take care of the infections then use smadav to unhide your folders

His ram is ok, his pc wouldn't come on at all if it was bad. He should try a system repair or try reinstalling windows, seeing that he has control over his cursor. The hdd is probably still viable
