I want to bring to everyone’s attention an issue between me and infinitkoncept.. On the 30th of July.. I contacted infinitkoncept and told him.. I’ll like to use his services in getting goods bought from amazon and down to Ibadan here.. He asked for a clear copy of ID card to be sent to his email address.. I sent him a copy of My cousin’s ID card to his email address.. Because my cousin is the owner of the items being a busy business man.: He asked me to take care of This part.. and on the 2nd of August.. He replied the email an gave me an address with the name on the ID card.. on the 11th of August, I sent him tracking for a phone I ordered.. 14th of August, He requested for me to send him a clearer copy of the ID card holding the ID card so the face shows clearly with ID card.. 15th of August. I sent him the Picture he requested.. After few minutes.. He started false accusations claiming the ID card was fake.. Note: The ID card is a class D drivers license.. Which can easily be checked on FRSC site.. So i didn’t know where all the accusations were coming from.. I then sent him the Temporary ID card first issued. He still kept on playing games and calling the ID card fake.. I then went to the FRSC site to confirm the ID card.. Then I sent him a screenshot from the FRSC site.. He then claimed his network may be jammed or something.. I just forgot about that.. So items kept coming in without any issue and I requested he sent the items through a courier company to Ibadan.. With my cousin’s name as the receiver.. the owner of the items and whose ID card I sent to him.. On the 28th of August.. He requested that payments should only be sent from my cousin’s account.. I told him No problem.. Since then, No issue came up whatsoever. Everything has been smooth.. on the 17th of October, I messaged him and asked for update about the items that delivered the past week.. That was when he accused me of identity theft.. started using Police to threaten me.. and all sorts. Screenshot below.. I sent him my cousin’s number as shown in the screenshot.. I then told my cousin about what happened.. he asked for infinitkoncept‘a number which I gave him.. He called infinitkoncept but he didn’t pick up.. My cousin messaged him on WhatsApp and tried to reason with him but infinitkoncept kept on Insulting and threatening.. Below is the items currently with infinitkoncept which he is refusing to release..

most likely the guy don see wettin go happen to you if he scam you reason why he took pity on you, but honestly the rate of scamming here has reduced because ppl now speak out and inquire before transacting , this has actually put scammers in a difficult situation . scammers cant beat the 2 main preventive approaches 1)quote and 2) escrow

Why can't the accounts of identified scammers be deleted, why do we still have them prowl and look for possible victims to wreck havoc on?

We have had more than a few known names and numbers and some of these usernames are old. Why not delete such usernames so that people don't fall victims of these cons.

Please Tabbaz, Puskin, seun, lalalasticlala, mynd44.

Most of those accounts are banned and they cant make comment but can view the thread.

The disadvantages of deleting those accounts are many
1. their history on nairaland will be difficult to trace because it will only show nobody in place of their username
2. they may be able to use the same username to register again
3. their phone numbers and other things on their profile page will be gone once the account is deleted

I think it's better to just ban the account forever, but not deleted.I stand to be corrected though.

I would like to use this medium to appreciate Sodiq961 for his selfless service yesterday.

So a non-nairalander sold bitcoin to him and sent him account details associated with the phone number that scammed abuhazzan. He notified me and we investigated the case for over 6hrs.

At the end, it appeared that the owner of the account is innocent but was a victim of soft MITM SCAM not regular MITM (but no time to explain the details).

So Mr. Sodiq later paid the trader and abuhazzan accepted his faith.

Also, thanks to Descrisom and okwaIfugo for their time during the dispute resolution
