It is now the most anticipated game of Match Day 18 in the Glo Premier League and just three points separate the two sides going into Wednesday's clash. The setting for the match is one of the major commercial centres in the southeast - Aba. This season, Enyimba have seen themselves drop points three times in draws to Akwa United (0-0), Giwa FC (0-0) and Abia Warriors (2-2) in the city derby just over a week ago. On Wednesday, the Peoples Elephant will host one of the toughest sides in the top division and table-topping Sunshine Stars. Enyimba will be wary of the Akure club who have pulled their weight in their recent trips to the southeast to face their other oriental rivals. Sunshine Stars' first trip to the southeast was to Owerri and they based Heartland 3-0 at the Dan Anyiam before they suffered marginal losses of 2-3 and 0-1 at Abia Warriors and Rangers International. In spite of Sunshine Stars' impressive performance in their trips to the southeast this season, same cannot be said of their travels to Aba where they have never picked a point in the premier league era since 2003. Last season, Enyimba dispatched the Owena Waves two-nil with goals from Daniel Etor and Markson Ojobo. Sunshine Stars have lost all of their eight games at Enyimba in the past 12 years in the Glo Premier League including a heavy 0-4 loss in May 2005. But this season, Sunshine Stars have lost four matches, one more than Enyimba in the league. The Akure club have have lost more than a goal margin on those four occasions as they are one of the top defending teams in the league. They will however have to be on their toes against Enyimba's front line led by Christian Obiozor with the likes of Ezekiel Bassey and Ifeanyi George lurking. Sunshine Stars will not be lacking in the area of quality on the pitch as they have one of the league's leading scorer in Tunde Adeniji with eight goals. They also will depend on the industry of Paul Onobi, Dayo Ojo, Dele Olorundare and Prince Aggreh in this top-of- the-table clash in Aba. The outcome of the match will certain have a telling impact on how the top-three will look like at the end of the first round billed to be rounded off this season.

A total of 592 yellow cards have been issued this season in 168 matches, an average of 3.5 cautions per game

Enyimba have been awarded the most penalties (5) this season & they have converted all of the spot kicks. they were eliminated from the Fed Cup via penalties

It's just week 17 oga, you don dey foam for mouth already, why not wait till week 33 before you talk like this? hehehehe, remember that Kano pillars no be kwekwe club, the fact that they haven't won away so far no mean say they won't do that anytime soon, they only need 2 away wins, 3 draws to shoot back to the top they belong, so relax and don't be overjoyed, Enyimba get alot of people to worry about.

The league is not about Enyimba and Pillars alone, while worrying about Pillars, be aware that we have other clubs you should worry about.

Sunshine, Heartland, Rangers, Wolves and Ubah dey there to worry about.. even El kanemi and Wikki aren't pushovers.

As it stands now pillars are out of the race for the title

The real contenders are sunshine, wikki and Enyimba others are wannabe and should fight for the continental ticket.

If pillars make confederation cup there should........

Your table looks faulty, we know KP have about 2 outstanding games (due to the accident that occurred or have they played these games and when?).

The two game that was postponed is against Heartland and Bayelsa United look at how the games for pillars between week 1 and 4.

See wolves game that was postponed as well. You notice something?
