A disgruntled car owner confronted a fuel pump attendant at a petrol station, accusing him of pumping air instead of fuel into his vehicle.
The incident occurred when the man requested to buy 35,000 Naira worth of fuel. However, after 32,000 Naira worth of fuel was supposedly pumped, the fuel meter on his dashboard still showed a decrease in fuel level.
Suspecting foul play, the man angrily confronted the attendant, alleging that he had been tricked into paying for air instead of fuel. The attendant's response was not reported.
The confrontation highlights the growing concerns about fuel scams at petrol stations, where attendants allegedly manipulate fuel dispensers to cheat customers.
This incident serves as a cautionary tale for motorists to remain vigilant when purchasing fuel and to report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
That station is notorious for such acts. I don't ever buy fuel there. I d rather go to any station that has a high patronage from commercial drivers because they know the stations that have good meters.
