What is this BAFARAWA saying? How did he win election before? Kai! |
Olabode thief George. This man is supposed to be somewhere in the darkest place of kirikiri prison, but here he is on the podium of our president's declaration to run. Celebration of corruption and shame. |
Jerry Gana supporting all government in power since 1960. A man with no standard. |
Wakilin Adamawa also? When children are murdered like rams back in your state and here you are drumming support for the one on whom the onus lies to protect them. Pathetic! |
What is the explanation that the President have for this small children who are supposed to be in school but who are here at Eagle's square drumming and dancing support for him to run in 2015? |

Just saw it being discussed on TVC now, where is the place of patrotism in Nigerian football. Selfish interest is the other of the day. If and only if FIFA hammer stops our amiable and hardworking girls from competing in the final of AWC on Saturday, then somebody will have his name written in the record books that has name like KAITA in it. Fingers crossed |
If true then another bad omen for this great nation |
Anytime I come across news like this and I try to believe that the present administration have the interest of the people at heart, something down here tells me that they are only playing the devil, giving out one to collect ten. |
President Goodluck Jonathan has praised the admiration his administration gives Igbos, whom he says are well represented and positioned in his presidency than in any other presidency ever. He also said that his administration has created lots of job opportunities and constructed many projects in the South-East. He was speaking at the World Igbo Congress Day held at Houston, United States of America. His speech was said to be a long one but only a copy was made available to press men through presidential spokesman, Dr. Reuben Abati, on Thursday. Jonathan noted that it would be absurd to think that he has ignored the Igbos, he said that he would leave it to Historians to determine which Nigerian president has hired more Igbos into federal positions. Source: http://www.informationng.com/2014/09/under-my-govt-igbos-have-been-favoured-jonathan.html The President said: “In our dogged determination to develop our country, the Igbo are well represented and in some of these appointments, the Igbo are having them for the first time. “Some have said that this government has done more in appointments than any other in our history for the Igbo, but that is a matter for the pundits and historians. Let me state that appointments by this administration, across the country, will continue to be based on equity, fairness and competence. “Even when some utilise politics to undermine our commitment to fairness and justice, we will deploy the principle of Federal Character to progressively correct it. No part of Nigeria under my leadership will be shortchanged.” He also said that his administration has constructed many roads in the south east which were left in bad condition by former administration. He said, “Similarly in projects and policies, we have continued to do our best. Throughout the South-East, we inherited federal roads in very poor conditions. “In spite of the highly competitive demand and constraints on funding, we have taken on most of the major roads, realising the impact that their improvement will have on business and life in our country. “The Owerri-Onitsha road, which was under construction at the outset of my administration, has been virtually completed. Three other very important roads, the Enugu-Onitsha expressway, the Enugu-Port Harcourt road and the Nguzu-Edda-Nkporo-Ohafia road which cuts across Ebonyi and Abia States, are steadily progressing. Our hope is that improved budget and Sure-P funding will see quicker action in the months ahead. ”The Ohaozara-Ishiagu road and Enugu-Abakaliki road are some of those that have progressed to good standard. Further attention will be focused on the Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene road, which is already being addressed remedially by the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency. Jonathan’s words comes as no surprise to Political critics who have ascertained that Igbos are Jonathan’s backbone heading into 2015 national election. Jonathan hails from Bayelsa in the south and it is expected that all tribes in the South will support him ahead of 2015. |
Almost twice as much as when you're watching a talk show, in fact It’s not watching what you eat, it’s what you watch when you eat if a study released Monday is to be believed. CBS News reports that the study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association: Internal Medicine, found that the amount of food people consumed while viewing television was determined by the type of content they were exposed to — people watching an action flick ate almost twice as much as people watching a talk show. The researchers randomly divided 94 undergraduate students into three groups, each of which was put in front of a TV for 20 minutes. One group was made to watch a part of the Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson thriller The Island, while the second watched the same portion of the same film on mute. The final group watched a 20-minute clip of the interview program Charlie Rose. All three sets of participants were given M&Ms and cookies, as well as healthier snacks like carrots and grapes, to enjoy while watching TV. Researchers weighed the snacks before viewing, and how much was left afterward. While the people watching the interview show ate 104.3 g of food, CBS says, those who watched the clip of The Island consumed a total of 206.5 g — nearly twice the amount. Watching The Island on mute did diminish appetites, but at 142.1 g the amount consumed was still 36% more than that of the Charlie Rose group. The total calorie intake of both groups watching the action clip was also higher, at 354 calories with sound and 314 without, compared with just 215 calories for the third group. Study author Aner Tal, a postdoctoral research associate at Cornell’s Food and Brand Lab, said that stimulating, fast-paced programs with a lot of camera cuts drew viewers in and distracted them from what they were eating. “They can make you eat more because you’re paying less attention to how much you are putting in your mouth,” Tal said. The researchers suggested measures like bringing predetermined, finite quantities of food to the TV to avoid overeating, while the study’s co-author Brian Wansink, professor and director of the Cornell Food and Brand Lab, offered a silver lining. “Action-movie watchers also eat more healthy foods, if that’s what’s in front of them,” he said, suggesting that this could be turned to a viewer’s advantage. Seven Hundred and Fifty Million Naira has been disbursed to famers in Kogi State, as loan under the Governor Idris Wada Agricultural Transformation Initiative. Flagging-off the disbursement in Lokoja, Governor Wada, said the initiative was a collaboration between the State Government and the Bank of Agriculture towards ensuring food sufficiency in the State. The Governor cautioned beneficiaries of the loan to ensure its repayment to enable other farmers to benefit. Earlier, the Commissioner for Agriculture, Zacheaus Atte, said about three thousand eight-hundred farmers across the twenty-one Local Government Areas of the State benefited from the scheme. In a message to the occasion, the Managing Director, Bank of Agriculture, Dr. Mohammed Turaki, said the Bank is commitment towards the development of the State. himkers: FRAUD ALERT!!I wonder ooo |
On my way to Ikole-Ekiti yesterday via Ido-Ifaki road, I met a long queue of vehicles. At first I thought it was an accident, so I parked and decided to check what it was in front. Behold, it was youths in their numbers I saw, they blocked all entrance and exit routes to their town protesting what they said was over 8 months of blackout and which government is doing nothing about. Some of them where even playing football right in front of BEDC office while all the helpless drivers and passengers turned out to be spectators. When asked why they decided to block the federal road on a Monday morning, they said they are sure that some government officials or influencial people will likely be part of the people that will be held and so they will take their plea to the appropriate authorities. I got there around 10am and from what I gathered they had blocked the roads since 7am. We were let loose at 11:05am. Some military guys were passing when all this was going on, they just cleared road for themselves and left, that was when I knew that we are on our own. Some of the pictures I took was from far distance, couldn't summon the courage to go near them to take pic.

Beloved Nigeria, For you to have survived all your woes this far undivided, you have overcomed. The rest of the year will be the best of the year for you. There will be no war, rumours of war, shedding of blood or any caos mentioned within you in the second half of this year. Your lost glory shall begin to return. All your enemies will be at peace with you henceforth. All the corrupt ones milking dry your overflowing resources has the option of repenting and turning a new leave or destruction is knocking at the door. The song at the end of this year for you will be far better than at the start of the year. The battle has changed rythm already, its time for your hunter to be hunted, for your mocker to be mocked and for your waster to be wasted. Henceforth, anyone that blesses you will be blessed and the one who curses you will be cursed. Wealth shall begin to change hands from the hand of the corrupt and wicked ones in you to the righteous. Nigeria you are a delightsome land. Be great. Its a new day. |
