Education / Mixed Reactions Trail Deletion Of NYSC From 1999 Constitution by Talkvibez: 9:11pm On Jul 28, 2017
Some Nigerians in Abuja have expressed mixed feelings on the deleting of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Decree from the 1999 Constitution.

The development came up in the recent Senate review and consideration of 33 Bills for passage.

The bills are contained in the report of the Joint Committee of the National Assembly on the review of the 1999 Constitution.

In their separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, while some welcome the development, others expressed concern on its consequences in the lives of youths and national development.

Mrs Ene Ede, Gender Advisor, National Democratic Institute (NDI), said the development would allow the democratic process to become more participatory, inclusive, accessible and responsive to the needs and aspirations of the people.

Ede also said that it would prevent rigidity within the domain of parliamentarians who the citizens were not sure had their common interest at heart.

“My problem with Nigeria is that sometimes people can take advantage of lapses in processes.

“Altering the constitution to delete certain decrees can mean various things. My fear in this is that, it may be taken advantage of.

“Imagine if someone is not in support of gender equity and then he decides to suggest something that is against women, how do you now balance this.

“We are also suffering from religious and ethnic bias in this country, so the most important thing for me is inclusiveness.

“If the process is transparent, inclusive, accountable, gender sensitive, responsive to the needs and aspirations of the people and driven by the people then, it is good,” Ede said.

Mr Abdulrazak Salawu, the NYSC, FCT Coordinator, said deleting the decree guiding the NYSC from the 1999 constitution would expose the scheme to unnecessary dangers.

Salawu said it was because the NYSC decree was in the constitution that allowed it to be sustained through the years, making it grow and evolve in its activities, including addressing youth unemployment.

He urged the NASS not to toy with the NYSC decree.

Salawu said altering the constitution would give room for individuals and groups to ‘toy’ with the mandate and guiding principles of the scheme which had sustained it.

He said this would also be counterproductive to the growth, development and process of the country and youths which the scheme had tried to support.

“If the NYSC Decree is deleted from the constitution, it will cause a lot of problems because we are not easily objective in our decisions in this country.

“An individual can just choose to be subjective for his or her own interest. If we do this, we will be toying with the lives and the future of the Nigerian youths.

“NYSC is the only youth development programme set up by the Federal Government that has been sustained over the years.

“We should not toy with the future of the youth. NYSC is currently playing pivotal role in youth development, implementation of government policies, promotion of inter-tribal marriages for national integration and unity.

“Everyone is a stakeholder in this scheme because it involves all and do not forget that even developed countries and most African countries are coming to Nigeria indicating interest in the NYSC.

“Nigeria is a consultant in youth development for most African countries as they wish to duplicate NYSC in their various countries, so we need to be careful with how we handle this.

“Our doors have been open and continue to be open for us to engage in Public Private Partnership (PPP) with individuals, agencies and organisations interested in youth development.

“So, all stakeholders are already involved in the scheme.”

He urged NASS not to ignore the role and contribution of the NYSC to the growth and development of Nigeria which may be affected if the decree guiding and guarding it was altered.

Also, Alhaji Isa Hussaini, a media consultant, who also welcome development however, said that the process involved in amending the constitution, was often cumbersome.

He suggested that before deleting the decree from the constitution, it should be strengthened in such a way that no individual, no matter the position, could alter the law.

According to Hussaini, when the NYSC decree is deleted from the constitution before it can be amended, there should be public hearing involving stakeholders.

“I think having NYSC in the constitution is good but the world is evolving and things are changing, we also need to change with the times and amend the constitution in line with the dynamic nature of the society.

“I think it is better to remove it from the constitution and set up an act of parliament to guide the institution.

“The law should, however, be strengthened in such a way that no President or individual can come in to make changes as it suits him or her.

“The NYSC has really helped parents in terms of keeping their children engaged, training them in various skills and providing monthly stipends for them.

Mr Tony Madaki, a lecturer at the Nassarawa State Polytechnic, Keffi, urged the NASS to only amend the relevant section of the constitution as it affected the NYSC but leave the scheme in the constitution.

Madaki said this would allow the scheme to remain protected and relevant to the growth and development of the youth and the nation.

“The scheme has always been protected by the constitution and I think this should remain so.

“For me, I feel that any relevant section of the constitution that needs amendment should be amended, but the NYSC decree should be allowed to remain in the constitution.

Celebrities / How Nigerian Couple Met Each Other Through Social Media In The US. Photos by Talkvibez: 2:10am On Jul 28, 2017
The power of social media can not be over-emphasized. A newly wed lady identified as Chinyelu has revealed how she met her heartthrob/husband Ifeanyi via social media in the United State. According to her, Ifeanyi was going through his social media account when he saw her lovely photos on one of his friend’s pages. He was mesmerized and decided to drop her a message. Read what she shared below;

photos of Ngerian couple who met in the us

It was truly unexpected for me to meet Ifeanyi. I had just moved to Atlanta, GA and was at a point in my life where I wanted to focus on myself and get adjusted to my new city. All of my friends and family knew that I didn’t care for blind dates. So, if they wanted me to meet someone, I told them to have them contact me via social media. That way, I can see his picture and decide if I wanted to respond or not. On August 4, 2014, I received a message from Ifeanyi who is a great friend of one of my bridesmaids. He saw a picture of me and my good friend, and thought I was beautiful.

It wasn’t until he told me he was a University of Miami Hurricanes fan (my college’s rival) that I became intrigued. I ran track at Florida State University and love my alma mater, so why would anyone want to be a University of Miami fan? I clearly had to find out why. Since then, we continued to message each other back and forth and I was starting to like what I saw in his personality.

After a while, we decided to talk on the phone and our conversations then became even more heartfelt and meaningful. In November, while I was visiting family and friends in Houston, he arranged for us to meet at Fish and The Knife, a beautiful sushi restaurant and lounge.

Dinner was amazing and throughout the night I saw he had an amazing smile. After our first date, we traveled back and forth between Houston and Atlanta so that we could see each other at least twice a month. With every conversation and every visit, I saw myself falling more and more for this man. His words, his smile, his heart, and the way he looked at me, made me feel so special that I knew he was the one for me. That December, we had an amazing date at Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint in Atlanta, GA. With jazz music filling the air, he told me how special I was to him and how much I meant to him. He told me he has never met anyone like me before and could see himself spending the rest of his life with me. It was at that point that he truly touched my heart. I had this wonderful feeling within and right then, I knew I was in love.

… PDP, AP clinch 7 councillorship seats

By Chinelo Obogo

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, yesterday, swore in the newly elected local government and local development areas chairmen and councillors, while charging them to be hardworking and transparent in the management of resources put in their care.

Ambode made this remarks at the Government House, Alausa at the swearing-in ceremony of the chairmen elected into the 20 Local Government and 37 Local Council Development Areas of the state.

He told the chairmen that they were coming on board at a time the people expected much, urging them not to disappoint those who elected them.

He said: “Today, we have completed the chain of government linking the Wards, Councils and Local Government Areas to the State Government. Our government has, once again, demonstrated our total commitment to deepening democratic values and good governance at the grassroots.”

He also commended the chairman of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) Justice Ayotunde Phillips, commissioners and the entire staff of the commission for delivering free, fair and credible elections. He also commended residents, especially those who defied the rains on Saturday to perform their civic responsibility.

Meanwhile, LASIEC has released the official result of the recently concluded Local Government elections in the state.

In a statement yesterday, Justice Philip stated: “A total of twelve 12 political parties participated in the council elections and the results of the chairmanship and elections into the 57 Local Governments/Local Council Development Areas of the state as announced by returning officers at each of the ward collation centres and Local Government/ Local Council Development Area Collation Centres showed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) won all the 57 chairmanship seats and 369 councillorship seats.

“The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won four councillorship seats, while Accord Party (AP) won three councillorship seats. The seats won by the PDP were ward C in Agege LGA, Ward A in Itire Ikate LGA, Ward D in Ikorodu LGA and Ward A in Oriade LCDA.

The AP won in Ward E, Agege LGA, Ward D, Ikosi-Isheri and Ward E, Somolu LGA.”

She also expressed her gratitude to the political parties and the electorate who she said conducted themselves lawfully in exercising their franchise.

The LASIEC boss said she was satisfied with the spirit of ‘camaraderie’ displayed by the agents of political parties at the different polling units, where she and members of the Forum of State Independent Electoral Commissions of Nigeria (FOSIECON) monitored the elections, stressing: “This is the right way to go if we really desire development and growth in the various communities of the state.”

While admitting that voting started late in some polling units, the chairman attributed this to the early morning downpour, which she said was beyond the control of the commission.

8 Business Ideas That Will Give You financial freedom

Get bold and start your own business…. owning your own business has never been more attractive, it’s one of the most certain ways to financial freedom, especially in this technology age where almost everything can be done online. Online environment is about the most lucrative environment to offer services or products, it removes the barrier of geography, race, age, etc… you can be in your bedroom in a village in Nigeria or Singapore and offer services to an established organization in the city of New York.

READ MORE http://www.360cyberclass.tk/2017/07/8-business-ideas-that-will-give-you.html

1. Sell Products Online. You can create a simple online shop and begin to sell products online. If you aren’t creating your own product you can always do drop shipping. Drop shipping is a retail fulfillment method where an online store sells stock it does not have, instead, when a product is sold, it purchases the item from a third party and has it shipped directly to the customer, the merchant never sees or handles the product. You can also create your own private label.

2. Start A Woodworking Business Do you love woodworking? Even without a huge workshop, you can create some of the more popular crafts and sell them. And like most things, your success in business isn’t necessarily related to how skilled you are as a woodworker. So, if you can figure out which products consumers want and just create those, you could have a good business plan. Amazon.com, Kijiji.ca or ebay.com are great places to start selling.

3. Cleaning Out Foreclosed Homes With there being as many foreclosed homes out there as there are, the bankers (who now own the houses) don’t want to clean them up and they are willing to pay hefty sums for those who will. So, it is easy to start a Foreclosure cleanup business and get paid well in the process.

4. Freelance Writing Freelance market has exploded in the last 5 years, there is a huge demand for content and so there are several ways to make money writing content.

5. Blogging I find a lot of people are interested in the idea of blogging as a business. but it is hard work, not hard like digging ditches, but hard like it requires so many different skill sets, a lot of creativity and mental energy, but with a lot of commitment and passion, this is a tremendous opportunity.

6. Build Websites for Small Businesses Websites are like building houses on a land, the domain is the land, without websites, you can’t do business online, this is business opportunity that will continue to grow into the foreseeable future.

7. eBay Business A few years ago, I started an eBay business, kind of as an experiment, I went to the wholesale section of eBay and bought an item in bulk (didn’t spend much), I listed them items for sale in the retail section of eBay and I sold the items at 400% profit margin. This kind of opportunities still exist, and if one can dedicate one’s time doing this, in no time, you can be financially free.

8. Virtual Assistant. Virtual Assistants are just like a secretary in another part of the world. This industry is growing very quickly. You can go to Google and search for “virtual assistant”.

SEO for fools: The 10 Basics of Blogging Search Engine Optimization

http://www.360cyberclass.tk/2017/07/seo-for-fools-10-basics-of-blogging.html

seo for blog

I decided to do a full post on it (isn’t she lucky?) because it is such a cool and expansive topic.
So what exactly was her question?

Found your blog the other day and have learned MUCH more than the previous 100 blogs I had found combined. I see that you have an article about SEO secrets below but I was wondering if you can direct me to like an “SEO for idiots” type of thing… I really need to understand the basics.

So here you go Kelci, here are the 10 basics of blogging search engine optimization.
Oh, and this isn’t really for idiots. None of my readers are idiots. And if you are learning about SEO so you can grow your blog you are a long way from being idiotic. Follow this guide and you’ll be well on your way to getting over 100,000 visitors from Google per month.
NOTE: This post contains affiliate links which means I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you if you purchase through that link. I only ever recommend things I have used and love. Thank you for the support

A crude illustration of how SEO works
Let me start by giving you a crude example of how Google SEO works.
Google has developed automatic algorithms that rank your site. They send out what are called “spiders” to “crawl” your site and check it for over 100 indicators that determine whether your site is valuable or useless. These indicators include things like backlinks, domain age, traffic, fresh content, etc.
SEO is the art of making sure those spiders are happy with what they find. It is an extremely complex field that is constantly changing but in all that chaos there are a few constants that have remained true since the beginning. I’ll talk about those here.
The 10 basics of blogging SEO
As always guys and gals, if you have any other tips please leave me a comment and add to the fun. I absolutely love reading the huge comment-essays that you all tend to wr

ite.
1. You need your own domain and hosting
The first thing that beginners need to know is that you need your own domain and hosting. Free blog set ups do not do any favors for your SEO efforts. Why is that?

Many people speculate that if you were really serious about your website you would get your own name and host it yourself. And Google only wants to point to websites that are considered serious and trustworthy and so this is a very basic signal.

I recommend all new bloggers get their own domain and hosting setup right from the beginning. You can read more about why in my blog hosting review that I did recently or check out this detailed guide on how to start a blog and dominate your niche that goes over everything you need to know before you start a blog.
2. Solve problems with original content
You have to remember that Google’s whole purpose is to provide their customers with relevant and useful search results. Everything they do is built around the premise.
And, to be realistic, the most important thing you can do for your SEO is create massively useful content that solves people’s problems. If you are solving problems that people are searching for then it is likely that you are going to get shared on social media and ranked in Google.
The phrase “original content” means so much more than just blog posts nowadays. You should start expanding into:

Photography
Here’s a big guide to finding images for your blog that talks about why you need original images and photos and how to use them to your best advantage..
Videos
Make tutorials or do video posts with your webcam. This builds links and traffic from YouTube and does well on mobile devices.
Podcasts
iTunes is growing fast as people get better smart phones and spend more time plugged in. You can check out my podcast right here.
Tools and plugins
If you can develop an original tool and install it on your website you can be assured of top Google rankings for a long time. Google absolutely loves tools and helpful plugins that people can use in their lives.

The idea is to build a relationship with your readers by helping them out. This will mean more sharing and faster results on the SERPS (search engine rankings positions).
But you also want to make sure that the content that you are producing is different in some way. If you take a look at the front page of Google you’ll see that all the results are slightly different and you need to try and cater to that.

I commend the Ibibio Nation for deeming it worthy to bestow honour and fatherly blessings on one of our illustrious sons in the person of our governor, His Excellency, Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel and his wife, Her Excellency, Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel.

Your Excellency, for me, today's event is yet another historic pilgrimage to the cradle of Ibibio ancestral domain to express our solidarity with our very own and pour our blessings on you. It is a symbolic call on all Ibibio sons and daughters the world over to rally round their own and to uphold our ancestral tenet of unity as a people with one language, one culture, and one God. Indeed, our divine placement as the fourth largest ethnic nationality in Nigeria makes this more so imperative.

As we walk into Asan today to celebrate our dear leader, I feel persuaded to remind myself and my generation to live by the template of love and unity set by our heroes past. As a people, this perilous time in the history of our nation makes it mandatory that we look inward, support and promote our leaders, and make the concerns of Ibibio nation and the larger Akwa Ibom project the centre-piece of our overall interest in Nigeria.\

To our amiable governor and his family, I offer my best wishes and deep felicitations. I pray God Almighty to continue to avail you His Amazing Grace, use you as the vessel for the continued advancement of Ibibio nation and Akwa Ibom state, give you a heart large enough to love your people unconditionally, and give you the undaunted courage to lead at the front in our collective fight for our attainment of greatness.

Congratulations, our dear Governor, the Captain of Team Akwa Ibom!

Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke

Health / Acne - A Clean Face - Step 1 In A 12 Step Program by Talkvibez: 10:48pm On Jul 09, 2017
For those that need more than a special cream like Scotty's Face Cream, then you need to work harder to get rid of acne. Since acne is a condition that occurs from within your body and exhibits on the outside of your body, you need to,
Acne - A Clean Face - Step 1 in a 12 Step Program

§ Attack acne from inside your body
§ Attack acne from outside your body

If your acne is not to severe, all you might need is a good cream and need only to follow a few steps in my 12 step program to get you past the periods where acne is active.

If your acne is more severe, than you may have to follow my 12-step program, since acne is an expression of your whole body system and is a reflection of what is going on inside your mind, cell structure and internal organs.

Acne is an excessive toxic condition within your body, which the internal elimination organs are unable to eliminate. So your toxins are moved into your blood and excreted through your skin. It is an automatic survival mechanism your body initiates in an effort to protect the insides of your body - cells, liquid, blood, organs, and tissues.

There are 12 areas that you need to look at,

§ Keep your face clean
§ Using Scotty's acne face cream or your favorite face cream
§ Relive your constipation and the tree day liquid fast
§ Making changes to your diet
§ Get plenty of sun, air, and water
§ Vitamins you need to be taking
§ Minerals you should be taking
§ Special supplements to take
§ Herbal mixture to use or drink
§ Special detoxifying drinks or supplements to take
§ Brushing your skin
§ Change your attitude

Step 1: Keeping your face clean

If you use face cosmetics, you need to stop. Some cosmetics irritate the skin and can cause acne by plugging up your pores on your face. The cosmetics chemicals that can cause you the most skin and pore irritation and inflammation are:

mineral oil
lanolin
parabens
propylene glycol

Look at the label of the cosmetics you use. You will find that many cosmetics, soaps, and sunscreens contain these chemicals.

Find a water base make up, not an oil base. Find one that does not irritate your face and use it sparingly

When you wash your face don't use any commercial soaps since they are filled with chemicals that will irritate and worsen your acne condition. And don't excessive wash your face as this will dry your skin of the natural protective oil. Also, don't keep touching your face since you spread or add bacteria to it.

To wash your face use only,

§ Castile hand or liquid soap
§ Pure glycerin hand soap

You can pat your face with a clean hot face towel to bring circulation to your face and to help open and move the toxic material, in the pimple, to the surface. Do not scrub hard to burst a pimple but just scrub lightly to burst a pimple when it is ready to open.

Use the hot towel application only 2-3 times per week.

When a pimple is open do not continue to rub or scrub it. In fact do not pick or scratch an open pimple since this could create other sores or leave scars that are difficult to remove. Just washing your face with clean soap will keep your face free of toxic matter.

Keep in mind,

Whatever you put on your skin will move into your skin and into your bloodstream.

Most commercial creams, lotions, and soaps are filled with all kinds of chemicals that are toxic to your body. By using them you are making your liver work harder.

During the day or at night avoid resting your cheeks or chin on your hand(s) or arm(s). This can irritate your face and cause acne to breakout. When you sleep, try to sleep on your back and not with your face or side of the face into your pillow.
