With 15m, you can do both.
If your brother has a Master degree, he should apply for Express Entry and save cost. Study route is unnecessarily expensive.
With 2m (aside proof of fund), he will apply for Canada EE. |

Islam › Re: Muslim Labourer Threatens To Murder Boss If He Insults Prophet Muhammad by TallNigerian: 3:03pm On May 07 |
Can you blame him? It's what they are being taught from childhood. It's what their imams and mallams have constantly preached to them. He believes he will go to heaven expressly if he kills in the name of Prophet Muhammad. He is willing to kill even his parents for same reason. He will kill even a fellow Muslim because of Muhammad. Now, do you think Boko Haram think they are wrong? When a group of people with similar belief or ideology come together and they strongly agree that only they are doing the right thing as regards to religion and worship, they will detest and wish for the extinction of others even if it means doing the dirty work of extermination. Incognito403: They don't want to respect anyone.
They want to be given pass to insult other people's religion.
It's their way. They always make movies to mock other religions yet they'll be the ones to hypocritically shout religious tolerance. Safyqueen: The hausa guy is seriously serious about what he said and every true Muslim will do same.
Is it not a common sense? Why must you insult the prophet when you know it is a red line for the Muslims not even only Hausa-Fulani.
Religion is a serious matter for a religious person irrespective of the religion.
Even in some cultures and climes, there are certain things that if you do, it can easily result to the person being lynched to death and it may sound very astonishing to some other people's culture.
There is a place in India where they worship cow. If one intentionally kills cow there for food, that food can be his last food.
Even in government circles, treason will call for death penalty.
Let's respect each other's red line for peace. Incognito and Safy, it's okay for muslims to do it, right?

brosom: Bro it's never really easy to stop once u re in to betting.
I learn a thing or few from u now, mine was I stop mid last year and was doing ok for myself, all my focus was making money without even thinking about betting, I'm a skilled worker, precisely a phone repair technician, I make close to 300k/month, and sometimes 400k, outside expenses. After expenses for family because from time to time family we call, I saved 1m+, and I set a daily target on opay to be deducting 5k each day because I want to save up to buy a land. All plans was going well until the thirt for more came back again through betting, at first it was just a bit, from there another and again to an extent I wanted to recover the ones I lost, before I could understand myself all money was gone including the ones in opay about 1.7m, this was from January till today 5th of may 2026, I felt suicidal, I became tired and weak even to go to work because of the loss, no appetite to eat well.
Just today is 6th of may, I've set another tegert on opay, I started afresh because I'm kobo less now, My point is that I think I need help because I can't keep in like this at 34.
I see money every day but I can't account for it. I feel you bro and I can perfectly relate as I was exactly in your shoes. You are strong because this phase is truly depressing. But I must tell you that you can never truly win with betting. Please block all your betting accounts and stay away from betshops. This lifestyle will impoverish you. I have been there. I didn't even narrate up to ⅛ of my experience. I will write a book on my experience and that of some people I met at GambleAlert. Forget all the adverts and hype, no one truly wins from gambling. Whether small stake or big stake, please run away. You should have been a land owner by now. I'm sure you are yet to start a family at 34. Gambling will delay your goals, you will be so carried away and before you know valuable years have gone. Please bro, I beg you in God's name, stay focused and live within your means. |

Ade1177: I quit the day I know I was stupid
I lost 200k just because a whole Man city could not score 1 Single goal
Then I rebet 500k and lost it that same day because real madrid could not win a bottom league team at Home, and mbappe, vini, Bellingham everyone is present o
Omo I wan craze that day
Nobody told me as I quit, I delete the app and even the triggers like telegram, reduce my dstv subscription to show only africa magic.
Lose 700k chasing 200k, because you want to play safe and bet on strong team at home I'm glad that you took the bull by the horn. What kills most people is a scenario of trying to recoup the 700k you lost. You can actually lost millions in that process. It's a never ending cycle if you don't stop immediately. I'm so proud of you. |
Family › Re: Gambling Is Ruining My Brother’s Life, Please Help. by TallNigerian: 2:02pm On May 06 |
It took me 10 years and a total loss of over 21 million in naira to break free.
It's never easy to break free from any form of addiction. When you think you have abstained and are free, then something triggers a relapse.
It's a battle of the mind but you will lose many things along the way; relationships, mental health, happiness, financial stability, personal success etc. Because all the monies you are supposed to channel into productive ventures will be channeled into gambling. Chasing losses makes what is already bad even worse.
I should have migrated a long time ago, I gambled away the funds I set aside for that. I abandoned my Masters program because I couldn't fund it. Not that I didn't have the means but all I saw in my head was how to double any available funds. The dopamine was real. I started stealing from my fiancee at some point and it formed part of why my relationship broke. I am only just getting my life together after abstaining last year. It's not been easy repaying unending debts and living frugally because of past mistakes. But it's the prize that has to be paid for my lack of discretion in the past.
As for your brother, you cannot stop him, he will either realize he needs to stop or he will gamble till he becomes suicidal. I know how many times I reported myself to GambleAlert, a gambling addiction reform organization. I started therapy but relapsed thrice. Then I quit. I just woke up one day after squandering the 4m left in my account and decided ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
If not stupidity, I have 4m at hand, I am chasing 500k or 1m. I then lose the entire 4m in the process. |

The speaker in that video is a fool and very ignorant.
What does electrical fault in a bus leasing to fire has to do with national security?
I expected him to talk about emergency response and fire contingency plan. An electric fault in a vehicle can happen to any car even inside the Aso villa. How it is responded to will determine how severe the damage will be. The pertinent question is why are there no fire trucks within the Air Force base or complex? |

Before we castigate him, let us remember that a lot of young men have fallen victims of false rape accusations especially in countries where the story of the female is likely to be believed more than that of the man.
However, if proper investigation was conducted and there were undeniable evidence that he actually committed second degree assault, then he should be jailed and deported. |

Ignnyte: To qualify for the STEM category-based draws, you must demonstrate at least six months of continuous work experience in one of the specific eligible occupations within the last three years. Since your primary background is in banking, you would typically need to show that your specific roles fall under the designated National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes for science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. I can provide you with an accurate guide and a detailed assessment to help you determine your eligibility or explore other ways to boost your CRS score. Given the current pause in general draws, looking into Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) or language proficiency improvements might also be strategic options for you. Please let me know if you would like to review the specific STEM requirements together to see how your experience aligns. I'm not sure there's any category that requires less than 1 year experience in the last 3 years currently |

O SixSeven: Something that has not been mentioned is the cost of living in the North. That's what most southerners see but don't understand up North. It's why your aboki shining your shoe is able to have 4 wives after he gathers some money. It's why they come to Lagos and anywhere there is economic opportunities to hustle and take it back. Their own japa is within so the way we say $40,000 can not do much in US, it may be able to do a lot elsewhere. Not justifying irresponsibility but that's one lens most people don't look at. What's the cost of living in the North? I agree with you on the lower cost of living. Even up to transportation, food, housing etc. |

lonelygem: shame on on them and their yeye governance ideology.
there was never a time poverty is not in jubilation state in Nigeria or African countries as a whole. as far as memory can permit me, so called president was a well grown adult when OFN was lunched way back then prioritizing food security. I grew to know what is called 'iyan Buhari' meaning Buhari's pounded yam. all these were nicknames given to the food items door step delivery intervention programs that we enjoyed as a growing child and our parents appreciated till date. Reasons why our parents who were school teachers with such meager income were able to sponsor 3, 4 kids through University same time.
Talking about the toddlers scouting around Abuja roads for means of survival, at what point has it become a concern to him if not for the embarrassment it posses on him siting such heartrending situation they've constantly swept under the carpet. must every hungry Nigerians pick up a plastic bowl to beg for alms before this government feel concern?? because some people's condition is worse than what you see the kids doing on the street.
I have gone to eat at an eatery where an average age Nigerian youth whisper in my ears that I should please assist him by leaving a little leftover that he would know how to pick up my plate afterwords.. when I interacted with him, he wasnt actually a begger, he had stayed two days without food and he had to stay out of jod because the salary couldnt cater for transportation and coupled with several other factors..
Northerners have embraced their problems over years and surviving through whichever means, why is the government trying to downplay its primary responsibility to the nation as a whole..
people have landed properties that had been abandoned for fear of banditry. it takes grace of God to leave for work in the morning and come back home safely without a story that touch..
in the space of 4 days, my street was robbed twice. this is a street that has police post 300 meters away.. we put a call across to police, the DPO responded with sleepy voice and it took over three hours before they eventually called back that they didnt have fuel to move and they couldnt locate the particular street on foot.
I think the Government should just be focused on its responsibilities to its citizen before pointing accusing fingers.
'Na papa wey get property fit get mouth to say e wan disown pikin no be the one wey pikin don already know say in no get anything to gain from the papa afterall..' you no get sense. You deviated from the topic completely. Why should a low income earner have four wives? |
