Job Description
•Render legal opinions.
•Oversee the preparation of legal agreements, opinions and other documents and review same.
•Oversee the litigation portfolio including debt recovery litigation.
•Review out-of-court settlement proposals and concessions on debt recovery accounts.
•Oversee the perfection of legal documents, maintain securities database and oversee management of the collateral documents.
•Oversee the firm's relationship with external solicitors including selection of solicitors, negotiation of retainer agreements and approval of solicitors' bills for professional services.
•Disseminate information within the firm on frequently arising legal issues.
•Participate in meetings and generate various reports, policy documents, etc as required by Executive Management or the Board.
•Tract workflow of departments and units to ensure timely delivery of service
Requirements
EXPERIENCE:

Job Description
The job is to track down people who owe money from overdue bills and negotiate payment.

Responsibilities
Draft an activity plan for debt collections
Maintain regular communication with debtors and collect money from debtors at agreed date
Negotiate payment arrangement and follows up to make sure they payments are made
Ensure compliance with company policy when contacting individuals and other company to collect past dues balances that they owe.
Ensure tracking of the rate of success and continue to make adjustments when necessary
Handle complaints or difficult calls
Investigate and communicate debt status of customers to the client and the company
Regularly communicate challenges to the team, gather all suggestions and then decide on the best way forward
Implement new cost effective and efficient ways to ensure maximum debt recovery

Requirements
Minimum OND holder in Finance/Accounting, business or any related field
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience

Skills.
Be interested in people and be a good communicator both verbally and in writing (Being multilingual will be considered an advantage)
Be persuasive and persistent, with the sensitivity to deal fairly with people in often difficult situations.
Be able stay calm under pressure, and be adaptable in some tricky situations
Have strong negotiation skills and ability to explain financial matters firmly and clearly.
Have mathematical ability to explain payments, financial terms and credit services
Be able to understand relevant legislation concerning data protection
Have office administration or IT skills
Be able to effectively prioritize tasks.
Have a clean criminal record.
Applicant MUST be open to traveling within and outside the country as the job dictates.

Salary
N50,000 monthly/ Commission based
