Politics / Re: Tinubu's 1 Year Of Mismatch Between Performance & Realities - Premium Times by Tbagwell80: 7:54am On May 28 |
Of a truth, he inherited a terrible economy. The twist here is that he supported that bad government and his people called others wailers for speaking the truth. Buhari was a disaster. Tinubu hasn't done any significant thing in office after a year if we must say the truth. Politics is different from governance. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

Politics / Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by Tbagwell80: 6:08pm On Mar 31 |
Anambra1stSonTV:You're shameless brother. What is all these dick measurements for? We complain of the imaginary line drawn to separate our brothers across the Niger and you are here fighting over mere state. We speak the same language, have almost the same value, almost the same religion and we are here killing ourselves. Competition among the states should be there only to drive development and not to slander each other. Go to ogbo efere in Onitsha and half of the people there are from Imo State (Ideato), go to ogbo okporoko in Aba and half are from Imo State (Ideato), many big companies in Abia are owned by Anambra people, many houses in Enugu are owned by Anambra people. Igbo is one! Why should a genuine Abia man feel bad about development in Anambra or Imo man feel bad about development in Ebonyi? It doesn't stop any intra state development but it is not fight against Anambra to propose Aba as the industrial hub of Southeast. The state has suffered bad leadership and it affects every Igbo irrespective of your state of origin. Our people flock to other parts of Nigeria for greener pastures. Tonimas invested in Aba, created lots of employment for everyone and not only Abians. In my opinion and based on peculiar qualities of the towns, Onitsha remains the commercial hub of Igbo land, Enugu the administrative center, Owerri for hospitality, Aba for industries, Abakaliki for Agriculture. This doesn't mean that Nnewi should close or that Owerri can't be used as administrative center. Grow up people. Our people have investment all over Nigeria so what is wrong if we develop Aba for industries or go to Onitsha for commerce? Let's mock the rogue governors for not using our resources to work for us and not our fellow Igbos because we not from an imaginary place called state. 9 Likes |
Education / Re: What You Need To Know About Maduka University Enugu (How To Apply) by Tbagwell80: 4:23pm On Mar 19 |
sunsweet33:Well, I don't know why you decided to add the last paragraph. It shows how unexposed you are. I used "maybe" because I don't know you and you don't know me. You quoted me first and I responded. Instead of you to stick to the subject, you decided to run away from the topic. I don't know the kind of foreign schools you claimed to have attended to see where students are packed like sardines to receive lecture. Classes are broken in units if students are many. Different times, online, class rooms etc. This is from someone who have attended schools in Nigeria, US, Germany and UAE. |
Education / Re: What You Need To Know About Maduka University Enugu (How To Apply) by Tbagwell80: 10:42am On Mar 19 |
Visagemedia:It doesn't matter what course it is. Convey the message to the management. Beyond this advertisment, they should implement it. Make enquiry on how it is done in good clime. If this system is used in Nnamdi Azikiwe University, why should I pay more to attend this school with even worse ratio? Come up with facilities and systems that would make real impact and create value for money spent. How do you think one lecturer can manage assignments of over 300 students. Two things would happen here, either the lecture conducts only multiple choice questions type of exams with no class assignments (that makes students to learn more) or if the lecturer manage to give assignment, there will be poor grading (either from giving it out to relatives to grade or getting exhausted in the process). With this comes, failures, missing scripts, poor grading, poor understanding of lectures, and some students being absent as a result. 1 Like |

sunsweet33:This is exactly why we don't change or improve in this part of the world. We already have enough 'decent Universities' in Nigeria. The aim of opening a university should not be solely to maximize profit but to make impact on the society. Maybe you haven't had the opportunity to attend good university in a developed country. Even when they have bigger population, they have enough facilities and lecturers to manage classes in units. With this crowd comes failure, missing script and many students can't learn in this type of gathering. No honor in defending this and no gain in repeating the same mistakes and expecting changes. This is bad for both lecturers and students. Go back to yesterdays and find out why we had max of 40:1 ratio in old government secondary schools. Once a class grows more than 40, they create another class (A, B, C etc). How can one lecturer manage assignments from this crowd? 1 Like |

What is the purpose of floating a private university if you can't bring anything new to improve the system. The sight of the crowded class hall is an eyesore. Private universities are generally costlier than public universities so I expect something better. Why should I pay to attend this kind of school where student-lecturer ratio is about 300:1. I would advise that you take down this photo and also inform the management to work on a better ratio by either building more facilities or admitting less number of students. 19 Likes |
Politics / Re: There Were Plans to annul the 2023 Presidential Election - Soyinka by Tbagwell80: 8:22pm On Jan 17 |
badoh:Just say it as it is bro. He rigged the election with INEC. Till today, they are yet to tell us the type of glitch that happened that day. All we want is a free and fair election. You can't get development with this kind of election. It's not about party or ethnicity. Look at the fraud in Enugu, Kogi, Imo. Even Lagos where APC would have won with free and fair election but ethnicity was introduced. Only a sound system would guarantee meaningful development for Nigerians otherwise only the elites would continue to benefit. Bwala in PDP yesterday is in APC today. What if Obi goes to APC or PDP tomorrow just like wike? 1 Like |

If your justice system is functioning, jungle justice, physical fight, juju etc won't be happening. It's a big shame. |

allthingsgood: I am shocked that any Nigerian will rejoice over this. This shouldn't be about Obi or Atiku. Not even about Tinubu. Why should a Nigerian rejoice over a system that wouldn't give us a free and fair election. Obi, like every other candidate will come and go, what should be worrisome is the electoral institution. Think beyond presidential election and go deep down to states where all of you speak the same language and have the same religion. This is the only avenue we can hold these criminals accountable. I weep for the country. |

othermen:I totally agree with you my brother. I may have been clamoring for his candidacy because I knew him and what he brought to the table as Anambra governor but sometimes I have to put myself in the shoes of others who were either not from his region or followed him as a governor. The glaring truth is that we don't have a perfect human let alone a perfect politician. Obi won't solve all of our problems but I am sure he will solve a lot of our problems. To clearly give you a perspective of what to expect from his presidency if he wins, Obi would rather have all the health centers in different communities working than to have just one record breaking giant hospital. Not a flamboyant politician. All in all, his candidacy has been a game changer for our democracy. For me personally, my yardstick to guessing how a person's presidency would look like is to check if he has both character and intelligence. You must have both to govern well. No matter how intelligent you are, if you don't have the right character (discipline) you won't govern well. Finally, the only way to know candidates is through rigorous media process and to be fair with him, he has done well by subjecting himself to this process and attempting even uncomfortable questions. 1 Like |

Nigerians are not ready. This crude politics won't take us anywhere. Same way some ignorant guys was thinking that Tinubu goofed with the church rat proverb. Some are also judging Obi with this cut and join video. Dude was talking about China and the jobless op had to cut it off to suit his intentions. In both cases, they (Obi and Tinubu) where only driving home their points with statistics and proverbs respectively). Judge leaders by just two things.....their character and intelligence. In governance, they won't be campaigning and won't be time bound to give speeches. Only their true character and intelligence will come to bear. |
