According to Punch, it was gathered that a bishop of New Salvation Zion Church of Christ in Warri, has been grilled by detectives from the Delta State Police Command over allegation of sponsoring new militant group, the Niger Delta Avengers.

The bishop was grilled from 8:00am to about 8:00pm last week Wednesday before he was allowed to go and ordered to report the following day for further questioning.

The bishop hails from Ogbinbiri community of Egbema (Ijaw) Kingdom in the Warri North Council Area of the state and is the presiding bishop of the new generation church at Igbodu area of the city.

Former spokesperson to the ex- President Goodluck Jonathan’s Campaign Organisation, Chief Femi Fani- Kayode, has regained his freedom after spending over 65 days in detention for allegedly laundering of N4.9 billion.

According reports, the embattled former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has been released late on Friday after more than two months in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The PDP chieftain’s s media adviser, Jude Ndukwe disclosed that Fani-Kayode was released Friday evening, and that he was likely to travel from Lagos where he was held, to Abuja later tonight.
“Yes, he’d confirmed to me that he’d been released. It’s still possible he might come to Abuja tonight if he’s able to,” Ndukwe said in a brief telephone exchange at 7:13 p.m with Premium Times.
Recall that Ndukwe in an earlier statement stated that Fani-Kayode has met all the conditions for his bail and the relevant documents have been duly filed and submitted at the Federal High Court in Lagos. He however said Fani-Kayode was yet to be released owing to the delay by the EFCC to verify the filed documents.
The terse statement read: “Kindly be notified that Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has met all the conditions for his bail and the relevant documents have been duly filed and submitted at the Federal High Court in Lagos.
“We are now waiting for the EFCC to verify the documents after which he would be released.

“Despite the fact that he has been locked up for the last 62 days, he remains confident, strong, healthy and in very high spirits. He misses his family very badly, especially his five month old son Aragon, and he looks forward to coming home to be with his family, friends and loved ones.”
Recall that Fani-Kayode had been in detention since his arrest on May 9, 2016, in Abuja. He was later transferred to Lagos where the EFCC slammed a 17-count charge on him, accusing the former minister of misappropriating government money.
After weeks in detention, Fani-Kayode was granted a N250 million bail on July 4, but he was still kept in custody pending his meeting the requirements for his bail.

The parrot, identified as an African grey parrot named Bud is about to be called to blow the covers on a murder case.

A Michigan woman was accused of killing her husband and the prosecutor is turning to Bud who was the dead man’s pet to help put her behind bars.
Prosecutors in America are trying to work out whether they can use Bud as a witness in a murder case after it apparently described the last words of the victim.
According to The Telegraph, Glenna Duram, 48, is charged with the murder of her husband, Martin, in front of the couple’s pet African grey parrot at their home in Michigan in 2015.

His relatives believe Bud overheard the couple arguing and has been parroting back their final words, switching between a male and female voice.
