Just a quick one. My cousin was a refused a student visa last year. He won the appeal and today he has handed in his passport at the British Embassey in lagos. Do the embassey usually stamp students passport to enable them to travel straight away? His course starts in September. He has been told to pick up his passport next Friday. Anybody know, or have any recent experiences. Thanks |

Hi Thanks for your advice. I am not looking to set up a PC Computer supplier business on the scale of DELL and Compaq. Obviously it would be nice! Thankfully I am able to source cheap second user PC/Computer components from the UK. An area of the business being established supplies computer parts to the Nigerian market. I have ready buyers in the lagos though a few associates. I work in IT in the UK and dont have the balls to begin importing computer parts from Asia to nigeria!! Lets see if one can actually make some legitimate cash in Nigeria!! |
I am currently in the process of setting up a business supplying computer components by exporting the goods from UK to Lagos/Nigeria. How profitable would a computer component supplier business be? I will be using a range of sources to aquire the parts very cheaply. These will range from second hand to fairly new parts. All your comments would be welcome. Technic |

Hi, thanks for the reply. Am just trying to get a good idea of prices of computer component sold in Nigeria. Will shortly be setting up a company exporting Computer components and Laptops from the Uk to Lagos, Nigeria. |
Just wanted an answer to a simple question Naijacutee. What specification laptops are you recommeding, which i may get a better return on. Cheers |
Hi there, I would like to export 5 laptops into Nigeria for my uncle to sell. Does anyone know the current cost of this laptop, with the following specification: Compaq Armada E500 Intel Pentium 3-600Mhz Processor 256mb Ram 12gb HDD 14.1 Full Colour TFT Screen Windows XP installed. Cheers |
You could consider shipping computer parts ie hardware, laptops etc. Thats assuming you have ready buyers in Nigeria. |
Hello, Ive visted Nigeria for the past 3 years on holiday. I have worked in IT in the UK for the past 7 years now but now specialise in Application design and support. My educational background includes a Business Degree and a Masters in Computing. I am now considering going to work in Nigeria for say around 18 months to experience the country of my heritage. I've been told to try oil companies and telecoms too. I would probably be interested in working in Lagos in particular. What is the potential salary i could earn, and does anyone think i might enjoy it, or at least survive. What is the working culture like compared to the UK. Are there any Nairalanders from the UK, who have been to work in Nigeria. Let me know.Thanks. |
When is 3G arriving in Nigeria? ![]() |
