Starterbag doesn't reply emails or give updates or even pick up their calls. He blocked me after I paid him for the job.A job that should have been completed in 14days has dragged over 3months. Starterbag is a scam company in nigeria,do not patronize them.infact their website should be shut down by authorities online as all they do is defraud Nigeria....Till date I have lost my money and the website is still online advertising so as to defraud more people, I wish someone can help me bring them to justice and maybe recover my money.

Call your bank, explain to them and request a refund, if you paid through paystack, you will be refunded 100%. I got refunded of 36k within 24hours.

Phones / How To Detect A Fake Memory Card (sdcard) In 2018 by Techpaded(f): 11:34am On Jun 11, 2018
Fake memory cards are now selling everywhere, and their packaging makes it even more difficult to distinguish them from an original one. There are several cases where someone will buy an alleged 62GB SDcard only to discover that it only takes 8GB files, or a 32GB MC that can only accommodate 4GB files.

Don't be fooled by the packaging or the logos drawn on a memory card. Sometimes, you will even see Samsung + Sandisk + Transcend ontop only one SDcard, haba! na only you waka come?

How to Verify an Original Memory Card
I introduce you to SD Insight, a free, fast and easy-to-use mobile application that allows you to see SD card manufacturing details, the original size and many more details which your ordinary file manager can't display. Once you insert an SD card into your phone, its information will be displayed in a simple format within few seconds.

Phones / Re: Itel Partner With Google; To Launch Smartphones On Android Oreo (go Edition) by Techpaded(f): 1:00pm On Mar 15, 2018
I don't know why you people are hating on Itel. They carried out their market research, and found out that the emerging market is the best for them.

I used an Itel phone at the early stage of my Android life, which helped a lot because everything in that phone has been simplified. Then I moved on to a mid-range device, though from another brand.

Itel has a market which they're targeting. they produce good low-end smartphones at entry-level (cheap), and this partnership with Google is only for the best. I.e to make these smartphones more effecient and optimized with a wide range of 'Go' apps and the Android Oreo experience.

This move should be given thumbs up, instead of back lashes.. And no matter how u blast them, it won't change what they produce and the market they target.

If you're blaming the economy, I'm sorry, but it makes no sense. In the next few years, a phone with 4GB RAM will be considered low-end, because phones with 15GB RAM will be out by then.

So, Itel phones are for people just starting the Android experience, low income earners, casual users (normal WhatsApp and fb users) and aged people (I might be wrong here though, lol) ... You won't give the flagship Samsung Galaxy S9+ to someone who jst started using Android phone and expect him to cope. NO!

So, buy Itel phone if u like, or kip shut..because ur talking won't stop odas from buying.

Even if dey produce a phone with 10gb ram, I bet u won't still buy it. So, leave them with the low-end phone which they are good at.

Phones / Facebook Messenger Kids App: Will It Work For Nigerian Kids? by Techpaded(f): 11:43am On Feb 16, 2018
Facebook Messenger Kids is a free video calling and messaging app designed for kids to connect with close friends and family from their tablet or smartphone.

Kids can only connect with parent-approved contacts, which create a more controlled environment.

The application is aimed at 6- to 12-year old children and lacks in-app purchases or Hide options so that parents can have more control over any unsolicited messages.

Phones / Whatsapp New Feature To Allow You Demote Group Admins by Techpaded(f): 10:02pm On Jan 14, 2018
Popular instant messenger—WhatsApp is testing a new feature called “Demote as admin” which will be enable a group administrator to dismiss other administrators without completely kicking or removing them from the group.

If you want to stop someone from being an admin in your group when this feature wasn't available, I.e before, you must first remove he/she from the group, then re-add him/her, where the person will now be a normal participants.

Now, you won't go through this stress anymore with the new demote as admin feature, as you can dismiss an admin without removing the person from the group.

Currently available on WhatsApp version 2.18.12 for iOS and Android devices.

Phones / "They All Stink" — Apple Marketing Chief Drops It Hot About Android's Face ID by Techpaded(f): 12:13pm On Dec 10, 2017
Apple introduced Face ID in its flagship phone - iPhone X few months ago, but beginning from next year, we're likely to see Android smartphone makers rival the Californian-based OEM for the feature.

The facial recognition system will verify the user's identity for Apple Pay, and by unlocking the handset, it allows the user to employ the gestures required to do all of the things that the iPhone home button used to do.

However, Apple marketing chief, Phil Schiller has completely ruled-out any form of competition. During an interview about Face ID with Dutch website Bright.nl, the Apple sales director was asked about upcoming facial recognition systems for Android devices, and his concise reply was “They all stink.”

Phones / 9mobile Launches N14,000 Rhino 2 Android Phone by Techpaded(f): 8:08am On Dec 06, 2017
Fourth largest telco network operator in Nigeria—9Mobile has launched a low-end phone which costs just NGN 14,000, dubbed ' 9Mobile Rhino 2' . Though the device doesn't have those groundbreaking feature, it will be copacetic to people who're just starting the Android life.

The need to own a smartphone has gone beyond calling and texting. At least, one should be able to check his/her social media pages, WhatsApp, read emails and unwind with some cool games, but with the price of devices nowadays, some people just stick to their old Java phone.

The good news is 9Mobile Rhino 2 phone, otherwise called 9mobile Prime 1 , can offer these features and it comes with a price tag of just N14000 naira. This is a good bargain for a phone that has durable battery, enough storage space, camera and internet accessibility support.

Guys, this can be a perfect Christmas or end-of-year gift.

Phones / Disgrace Anyone Looking At Your Phone Screen With This by Techpaded(f): 7:49am On Dec 05, 2017
The last thing you'd wish for is someone peeking on your smartphone, and annoyingly, this happens almost every time in public transports, events, and other functions. Well, Google is working on a technology dubbed ' electronic screen protector' , which will alert you on the slightest glimpse at your smartphone screen.

The electronic screen protector makes use of the phone's selfie camera together with eye-detecting artificial intelligence to alert and show you the person peeking on your screen. Watch this video to see its amazing work.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rchVXWdpVvQ

As you can see from the video, the software interrupted a Google messaging app to catch the peeper red-handed through the front camera view. He/she will be given a Snapchat-esque vomit rainbow on their face. What a disgrace!

According to Google researchers, Hee Jung Ryu and Florian Schroff, the system can recognize a person’s gaze in just 2 milliseconds.

This will surely be welcomed with open arms once available to the public, as the peeping perpetrators will even feel ashamed once they find out they've been busted, and gradually this bad habit will be curbed.
