Politics › Social Media Blocked In Liberia Amid Heavy Protest by TechPlace24(op): 4:19pm On Jun 08, 2019 |
As of Friday, 7th June 2019, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and top messaging app WhatsApp have been blocked by internet providers in Liberia.
Snapchat, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Google’s Gmail service and the website of The Associated Press were among the sites affected, internet monitoring platform NetBlocks revealed.
Most journalists and some citizens are using virtual private networks (VPN) to bypass the restrictions, Bai Sama G. Best, managing director of Liberia’s Daily Observer newspaper, told CNN.
Eugene Nagbe, the Liberia’s Minister of Information confirmed that social media platforms were shutdown temporarily because of “security concerns.”
“We have restored some of them,” “We are not saying that the protesters were carrying out things detrimental to the nation, but the national security apparatus said there were threats to the country and the services were temporarily disrupted and have been restored,” he said. Phones › Wikipedia Has Been Banned In China, As It Affect All Languages by TechPlace24(op): 1:02pm On May 18, 2019 |
China has now banned Wikipedia. According to a BBC report, the ban has block/affected all languages on the community-edited online encyclopedia.
Earlier, the enforced ban was seen barring Internet users from viewing the Chinese version, also it affected pages for sensitive search terms such as Dalai Lama and the Tiananmen massacre, the report said.
The block has been in place since late April, Open Observatory of Network Interference (OONI), an internet censorship research group has revealed.
“We’re yet to receive any notice of the censorship,” the Wikimedia foundation said in a statement.
Wikipedia has now been listed among websites that cannot be accessed in China, in recent years has tightened its grip on access to information online. Sites already banned include, Google, Facebook and LinkedIn, this action has forced Internet users to use virtual private networks, or VPN, to bypass what has become known as the “Great Firewall” of China, Time.com said. Webmasters › 8 Easy Steps On How To Get Your Blog Approve By Adsense In Last Than 48-hour by TechPlace24(op): 8:43pm On Apr 13, 2019 |
Adsense is a service owned by Google. It’s an advertising platform designed to run on websites and blogs which Google shares revenue generated from advertisers with Publishers (website owners).
Adsense is rated as the best monetization platform for bloggers. Its core advantages are; prompt payment, High CPC/CTR/Impression rates etc.
Adsense was launched on June 18, 2003.
In recent times, applying for adsense for blogs seems very difficult, but from the research Techplace24.com have conducted, Adsense approval is not all that difficult provided you follow Adsense program policies and content policies.
A friend of mine who owns a tech blog while applying for Adsense had only four original, but well written articles, he also created some pages like About us, contact us, privacy policy, cookies policy and terms of service, he had a responsive theme, he designed a well formulated navigational theme on his blog. His traffic was original, his traffic source came from social media since it was a new site. The truth is; his application was approved in less than 48-hour.
Below steps and rules are what you need to follow to get your application approve in hours:
1. Buy a custom domain. E.g, Techplace.com, Techplace.net, Techplace.co etc.
2. Buy a host
3. Be original: Write good, free from grammatical error, atleast 200 words and above.
4. Use a responsive theme, also maintain a good navigational site.
5. Add legal pages like; About us, Contact us, Cookie Policy, privacy Policy, Terms of Service.
6. The best niche are: science and Tech, Education, health, jobs and scholarship etc.
7. Avoid graphic contents, gambling, fire arms and pornography contents if you want your application to be approve.
8. Don’t use any other ads network outside Adsense.
Note: If above steps are not properly followed, your application will continue to be disapprove. Read More At: http://www.techplace24.com/2019/04/11/get-your-site-approve-by-google-adsense-in-few-hours-or-days/

Phones › Twitter Makes Changes, As You Can Now Follow Just 400 Accounts Per Day by TechPlace24(op): 11:14pm On Apr 09, 2019*. Modified: 11:46pm On Apr 09, 2019 |
Twitter Inc has made changes to the number of account to follow in a day.
Previously, Twitter users were able to follow up to a thousand (1,000) accounts, but now Twitter has reduced it to 400 per day. This measure according to Twitter will make the platform more secure.
In July 2018, Twitter place a restriction on some API in order to impede the use of artificial tweet engagement on its platform.
Recall, that in April and June 2018 Twitter announced that it deactivated about 143,000 apps due to several violations.
This latest development is Twitter’s ongoing efforts to get rid of its platform misuse. See their official announcement below;Read More At: http://www.techplace24.com/2019/04/09/you-can-only-follow-400-accounts-per-day-as-twitter-makes-changes/
