Lifeless campaign.

All the other major candidates have a theme song.

Bola on your mandate...bola on your mandate....we shall stand.......Tinubu's theme song

APC sai mun bata wuta.......APC sai mun bata wuta..... Atiku's theme song

As e dey pain them, e dey sweet us, as e dey sweet us e go dey pain them.....Wike's theme song

ObiDatti...."No Song".....No Charisma in the campaign, how do you hope to gather crowds in the rallies, there is only so much statistics you can quote, Nigerians love entertainment, you have to dance, smile crack jokes....Then get serious.

You are not paying them to come to the rally....at least entertain them
You may be right but the problem of Nigeria has gone beyond those that you listed. We can't continue like that. We have been dancing in the last 24 years, it's time to get serious.

Ok, I think G 5 governors are making a mistake, that's the problem we have with our Nigerian politicians, they hit the polity unnecessarily, they should have kept quite and act cold. Naturally, LP will take the southern states, so, why the noise?
However, Atiku won't do anything, is he the INEC chairman or who?
He can only do something when he becomes the president.

You are completely wrong, Obi is not that type of leader and besides, it is better to be controlled by someone who has nothing to gain than by someone that has something to gain, those outside the government see more than those inside, for example, OBJ is better outside the government than when he was there. Reason, he speaks up when things don't go well, he selected Good luck Jonathan for Yaradua and supported him in 2011 but withdrew his support when things were not going well. Same with Buhari, but Tinubu is never like that, Tinubu would have earned my support 100% if he had spoken up for the masses but no, his interest is not Nigeria but his life long ambition, like they say, you can never play God.
Let's see what God has in stock for us. I must vote on that day and I must vote to save Nigeria.

babasolution:
Buhari the Fulani, had 12,million northern mainly from the core Fulani controlled Hausa regions votes that he ran with consistently.

Despite his failures they stuck with him, when he now found the political trick to win by aligning with the southwest he eventually won and became the president.

In the past 7 years buhari has indeed paid the northern Fulani controlled region for their support.

Billions were given them for supposed " cattle ranching" ( no one talks about this).

NEDC the north east development commission was created and being funded by billions every year to take care of people who don't contribute to the national treasure in any way instead have cost Nigeria billions through the bokoharam insurgency, depriving other regions of needed funds.

He has placed Fulani people in all federal agencies and the control juicy sums and contracts.

He has found oil for them in gombe.

He has given the peasant herder Fulani free reign to take over any land of their choice by killing indigenous peoples with military cover.

Any one that says the north hasn't benefitted from their Fulani reign are jokers.

Now that it's time for the south to emerge having been patient all these while despite their deliberate impoverishment from the Center.

The PDP brought in another Fulani to give them more power to consolidate and benefit further.

The southerners there are giving all sorts of lame excuses thinking they are fooling us.Infact many of them supporting this Fulani to Fulani transition will not benefit.Once Atiku enters many of them will be replaced by a Fulani for appointments.

The southerners are making a cost political suicide by supporting a Fulani to Fulani transition.

This election should have been between two southerners.

Now even with Peter obi's emergence his people are generally not supporting him ,they are doing their best to kill his campaign expecting Atiku to reward them or waiting for after 8years which they aren't even sure they would be alive to witness.

Instead of them to rally round their brother, they are foolishly expecting a Fulani to favor them.

Look a Fulani to Fulani transition will be the greatest regret of southern Nigeria no matter how you see it.From any point of view southerners will regret allowing a Fulani to Fulani transition. It will cost them dearly.

It election is the turn of the south, any were in the south. It's not a Yoruba Igbo rivalry thing.

If the south cannot put their MAN as president come 2023.

They will be making a bitter costly mistake that will affect them and generations to come.
It's certain there no middle ground here.

The Igbo who think they can survive under a type of government will get a huge shocker eventually.

The Yoruba who think they can survive with Lagos will be shocked.

The nigerdelta who think they have oil will be surprised.

The Fulani aren't playing, they are not jokers.

The south hasn't gotten the memo yet.
Same as Muslim Muslim ticket. It will also break the norm. The only viable option is Peter Obi but foolish bigots would think they are doing igbos but when the chips are down, everyone becomes a victim

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo used to be a chimera. His influence was mythical yet sweeping. In the past, Nigeria was too small to contain his stature — as he dominated the horizons across Africa and beyond. He lived up to his legend of being a human Orisa. He is, perhaps, still one of the most respected leaders out of Africa.

But Obasanjo’s influence within Nigeria appears to have ebbed over the years. His words seem to have lost lustre and his presence vacant of command. Perhaps, when a masquerade comes out to perform all the time, and sometimes without an invitation, it loses its allure and charm.

From 2007 (after he left office) up until 2014, Obasanjo had his wonder and thunder. His position on national matters mattered and was sought after. His missives were denominated ‘’letter bombs’’ for their sheer quality to inflict maximum casualty on the target and sway public opinion.

In 2013, former President Goodluck Jonathan suffered ‘’casualty’’ from one of Obasanjo’s missives. Obasanjo wrote an open letter which technically put a nail to the re-election bid of Jonathan.

In the letter titled ‘’Before it is too late’’, Obasanjo accused Jonathan of many malfeasances. He said: ‘’Allegation of keeping over 1000 people on political watch list rather than criminal or security watch list and training snipers and other armed personnel secretly and clandestinely acquiring weapons to match for political purposes like Abacha and training them where Abacha trained his own killers, if it is true, it cannot augur well for the initiator, the government, and the people of Nigeria.’’

He also accused Jonathan of cleaving Nigeria apart – along the weak seams of north-south and Christian-Muslim. According to him, Jonathan was favouring and promoting his Ijaw kin to the disadvantage of other Nigerians.

Obasanjo’s letter was well-celebrated. It was held up as a definitive and summary verdict on the administration of Jonathan. Obasanjo himself was hailed for his ‘’courage and forthrightness’’, and for his audacity to look power in the eye and spit the truth. But all of that changed after the 2015 elections owing to his overbearing deportment.

In 2018, just three years after President Buhari came to power, Obasanjo applied himself to his accustomed enterprise. He dispatched an open letter to Buhari, accusing him of incompetence. According to Obasanjo: ‘’The lice of poor performance in government – poverty, insecurity, poor economic management, nepotism, gross dereliction of duty, condonation of misdeed – if not outright encouragement of it, lack of progress and hope for the future, lack of national cohesion and poor management of internal political dynamics and widening inequality – are very much with us today.’’

In the build-up to the 2019 elections, Obasanjo fired a salvo. He accused Buhari of failing to address insecurity, of nepotism and of sundry ineptitudes. But Buhari earned the endorsement of Nigerians to serve a second time as president.

Obasanjo said: ‘’For over ten years, for four of which you have been the captain of the ship, Boko Haram has menacingly ravaged the land and in spite of government’s claim of victory over Boko Haram, the potency and the activities of Boko Haram, where they are active, remain undiminished, putting lie to government’s claim. The main issue, if I may dare say, is poor management or mismanagement of diversity which, on the other hand, is one of our greatest and most important assets. As a result, the very onerous cloud is gathering. And the rain of destruction, violence, disaster, and disunity can only be the outcome.’’

In 2021, Obasanjo reprised himself in another letter to Buhari. But over time, his take or opinion on national matters has become tepid, vapid, and lacking in magnetism to hold public interest and to sway public opinion. His opinions have lost the power to cause mortal damage. And those who once eulogised him as the incarnation of courage, truth, and honesty are now his fiercest critics.

It seems that Obasanjo wrestles with anyone he fails to control and abominates anyone who resists his impingements.

Has the Ebora Owu been demystified? What is the worth of Obasanjo’s endorsement? In the heat of the political liaisons in 2022, Obasanjo’s hilltop mansion in Abeokuta, Ogun state, became a cynosure of political pilgrimage as politicians fell over themselves to seek his endorsement of their bids. The rat race for Obasanjo’s endorsement. At the time, supporters of Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party, claimed that the former governor had the blessing of Obasanjo. Although Obasanjo concealed his intentions in pretensions of statesmanship, it was well-noised he was favourably disposed towards Peter Obi’s candidature.

But the former president has cast aside the veil, and has declared support for Peter Obi, today, January 1, 2023.

The truth is Obasanjo’s endorsement cannot take Peter Obi to the presidency. It cannot take him anywhere.

Obasanjo is a big masquerade. His place in Nigeria’s political progression is undisputed. When iconic leaders are to be counted, Obasanjo will have a place. But in the cycle of life, there comes a time when the big masquerade will have to retire – when there is no one left in the crowd.

Nwabufo, Nwabufo aka Mr OneNigeria is a writer and journalist.
What of in 2015 and 2019 when he endorsed Buhari and Atiku respectively? Obasanjo made his reason known, any other reason from any hungry political job er elsewhere is null and void.

With the recent military invasion of Okigwe, coupled with the gory videos of extra-judicially slained innocent Igbos, razed Igbo businesses and residencies, and torture of innocent Igbos. One can't help but notice the awful silence from Peter Obi. Instead, he's in Abba, Anambra State, frolicking with his buddy, Chimamanda Adichie, who, also is silent on the predicament of their people.

I think the reason is because he thinks the Igbo bloc vote is in the bag for him. This is why he can afford to be silent on the existential threat Igbos are facing, and rather chill with a known terrorist, Gumi.

The Igbo otelectuals and politicians don't see the lives of the common Igbo man as important. Instead, they see those lives as pieces on their chessboard to advance their selfish interest. Things will change.

PoliticsRe: After Yaradua and Jonathan: Can Nigerians Trust Obasanjo’s Judgment? by TechW: 8:02pm On Jan 01, 2023
Penguin2:
The hottest gist in town now is Obasanjo’s public and official endorsement of Peter Obi for the 2023 presidential elections. Not like political observers didn’t know where Obasanjo stood all along, but putting pen to paper on it is what is making the talk of town now.

Expectedly, the supporters of Obi’s opponents in the election are not taking the news in good faith. But why would they? The news isn’t palatable to them; it wasn’t meant to be.

But what Nigerians can do is to interrogate Obasanjo’s judgment and ask ourselves if we can trust him.

There’s only one way to do this, and that’s by examining his past judgments and knowing the outcome for the generality of Nigeria and Nigerians.

The first endorsement Obasanjo did after his administration was to midwife Yaradua’s emergence as candidate of PDP and campaigning for him all over Nigeria while asking Nigerians to trust him and give Yaradua a chance. Nigerians gave Yaradua a chance and till today, Nigerians give testimony to what a great President Yaradua would have been if he hadn’t died in office. So, we can say Obasanjo was right with that judgment.

The second endorsement Obasanjo made after his administration was to ask Nigerians to give Jonathan a chance in 2011 after he succeeded Yaradua. I want to believe that it was not Obasanjo’s intention for Yaradua to die in office but when it happened, he felt Jonathan should be given a chance to prove himself. Did Jonathan disappoint? That is debatable; especially when juxtaposed with the current administration. The only fault of Jonathan was in allowing insurgency to fester when it should have been nipped in the bud and not being able to control some of his appointees who engaged in stupendous corruption which was where the disagreement between Jonathan and Obasanjo started. But aside that, Jonathan was a good man and Nigeria witnessed positive growth. So, again, Obasanjo was proven right in his judgment.

In 2019, Obasanjo, for the first time, in possibly for lack of alternatives, closed his eyes on whatever grouse he has with Atiku and threw his weight behind him, though not in the degree he (Obasanjo) is doing it for Obi right now. If anything, Obasanjo never made his endorsement of Atiku public in 2019. However, Atiku lost the 2019 election and we will never find out if he was right or wrong in that judgment.

Now, as the 2023 elections approach, Obasanjo is asking Nigerians to trust his judgment and give Peter Obi a chance to rescue Nigeria from the precipice it currently finds herself.

From the antecedents of his judgment, do you think Nigerians will be wrong to trust Obasanjo?

What's Obi saying about ESN and ipobs in alaigbo.

Just yesterday Igbo people were locked inside like rabbits.... It's become a Monday Monday culture

Anambra lawmakers heads beheaded and ESN were playing football with it on live video. Obi went deaf and dumb.

All well to do Igbo people are avoiding alaigbo. The Kano based Igbo millionaire entered Anambra for Christmas... He was promptly kidnapped by ipobs and ESN... Obi went deaf and dumb as usual.

Insecurity anywhere in Nigeria is a threat to security elsewhere in the country. We warned you Igbo people... You refused.... Don't do ipob....taaaahhh there you went. Supporting kanu with our Nigerian currency and hailing him as he was maligning the country.....

Ahmed Gulak was shot pointblank in the forehead by no other than the Igbo people creation of ipobs and ESN....Anosike Chimobi, 38, from Umuedo, is languishing in the gulag for the murder.

No the rooster has come home to...... As you lay your bed so you shall sleep on it. As for me and my likes who are in the majority... No ESN loving, ipob loving miscreant is getting to Aso Rock in any guise as President... If Obi likes let him start working miracles.... He's on his own.

These and many more are the problems with Peter Obi's candidacy and why he must be roundly rejected by all peace loving Nigerians.

PDP made a grave mistake not giving the ticket to Nyesom Wike.... I have seen him work at close quarters....

Presidency belongs to the south.... Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to the rescue.

Name one Igbo man that can do what Tambuwal did in the PDP Presidential primary election for Atiku?

Showing that you have too much sense and open eye is not good sometimes, because it will become nonsense and foolishness eventually.

Take a look at the methods used by many Nigerians majorly from the SE region of fronting the only Presidential candidate from there. They resort to abuses and insults on any Nigerian not in tandem with their choice of candidate, not minding the fact that in any election, the opinions of all should be respected.

In the race to 2023, a lot of diplomacy and stepping down will occur across politcal parties to ensure one major candidate emerges as the formidable contestant.

They are still learning the diplomacy and cunninnes in politics and it may take sometime before they understand how politcs is played.
Is this your post not an insult to Igbos, you want the best and igbos are presenting the best, what moral justification do you have to deny igbo your support.
