Nothing tragic about it. People run out of stock and we all know how logistics is treating us. You're offered an option but you seem not to prefer that, so, let it slide, boss.

Please what happened to the Xiaomi Thread....

Redmi 7 has a 720p display, Redmi Note 8 has 1080p

Even the size of both displays are different. The more powerful a processor the more power it draws and the processor on both devices are not mates.

That comparison doesn't come in place. I can also say my RN5 has a better battery life than R7

Alright, Thanks for the insight

But your GPS is switched on na.

You may have to reflash the rom.

And you will never have a good battery stats with Glo network

Yes my GPS was on but R7 has a better battery than RN8 because of the fact that... It's still the same activities I do on R7 am doing on RN8...

For the GLO network I use GLO network mostly on my R7 with GPS on throughout and playing loud music throughout my Journey home or to work even sometimes with streaming YouTube videos self and GPS on but this is Airtel I use mostly on RN8

How do I go about flashing the ROM? Won't I loose like a Warranty check or something apart from files

genius43:

1. GPS is on and your screen has been on most of the time you have used it meaning at this rate you are on course to have an 8-9hrs SOT and you are still complaining.

2. Update your phone, how have not updating your phone helped your battery life now, from the battery icon you are still clearly on MIUI 10 when people can't wait to get their hands on MIUI 12.

1. YES, GPS on but R7 has a better battery life compare to this my RN8

2. Update, My phone update is steady and I am on MIUI 11.0.8 stable... I don't joke with App update talkless of Phone Update and my phone Synchronize to cloud almost everyday because I am always connected to unlimited Wi-Fi @ the office

Following all the instructions on Xiaomi Compilation Thread...

I guess my RN8 battery got some issues... I will have to let the phone go and buy RN9s with just one month purchase of RN8

Charged Full @ 100% and now 55% with just 4hr:51mins of fair usage

We are aware that there's COVID-19 in Nigeria but the number of cases we are having everyday is a SCAM...

During the first Lockdown... I've seen people that defied it im Lagos and it's going to two months without a feasible symptoms of Corona

Just bought redmi note 8 few hours ago. I've always been a Huawei phone user but decided to try Xiaomi due to its support for snapdragon processor. My redmi note 8 comes with the default MiUi 10. Just want to be sure of I should update to the latest version of MiUi 11.0.8.0. Please kindly advise

Please do any update you have on your Mi Device...

It's very Important

Hope your two Sims are not on 4G at the same time. Keeping two unstable networks that way is suicidal.

Turned both off... Using only Airtel 4G

Wondering though because my Redmi7 battery is superb with all the features on...

Wi-Fi Scanning, Bluetooth Scanning, Both Sims on 4G, and looks okay compare to this RN8

Your Network is the culprit. My phone has been having abnormal drains with Glo fluctuations, I decided to keep the SIM a little and switched to Airtel and the battery is back to normal.

We mostly don't put our eyes on network but it is usually the biggest culprit when it comes to battery usage.

This battery is going to 2 years.

Alright, Thanks...

And I am using both Airtel as SIM 1 and GLO as SIM 2... I switch between the two Sims if one is misbehaving while streaming

Lol. If you've Mx player you'll realize that MI video player is the worst.

Okay Sir...

Quick one everybody...

With my MI Account logged in, if my phone is stolen can it be formatted with another ROM. So the new user can be using it?

Mi video player is easily the worst video player in the world, yet, in the infinite wisdom of Xiaomi they decided to make it the default video player for their phones.
Whenever I want to watch a video, I'll have to change to another video player and it's very annoying.

On what basis are you judging the player?

To me is one of the best with the quality..

I can lock my screen when watching a video
I can increase the brightness of my screen...
Video resume to where I left it when I am watching

What other features did you want?

Seems the India region are flexing Xiaomi product than us here in Nigeria... They even gat MiStore app
