Hello all.
Please a family member applied for a fresh passport and online, she went for capturing on her appointment date and everything was done.
It's more than a month and now that we tried tracking online, we get the message Application not found, please try again. Is this normal?

Reverse gear delays after parking for some hours, sometimes doesn't even respond at all to reverse selection except when engine is warm.

Reverse cup has been replaced, valve body replaced, ATF replaced. Still the same issue.

Drive works well, reverse only responds when vehicle has been driven for a while (engine is warm) even when it responds, it brings a bang (engine/gear seats has been changed too)

What else could be wrong. Please help!
Car Talk / Reverse gear issue When Engine Is Cold by Teebaba1456: 6:02am On Sep 21, 2021
Hello all.
Please i have this problem with my Reverse gear. When the vehicle has been parked from some minutes or hours, the reverse doesn't select at all, sometimes it takes about 5 to 10 seconds when i am lucky, this doesnt happen when the engine is hot or has been running for sometime.

The drive gear selects well and moves fine.

Filter has been changed, valve body has been replaced, ATF has been replaced but the problem still persists.

Please help.

Car Talk / Reverse Problem In My Auto Gear by Teebaba1456: 2:23pm On May 06, 2021
Hello gurus in the house. Kindly help.
I have a 1999 Toyota camry 2.2 with a gear issue.

The drive works fine, with all the 4 gears selecting normally. But the reverse is a headache.

Sometimes, it takes about 5 to 10seconds to respond to Reverse, sometimes it doesnt even respond at all no matter the revving. Other times it shakes while reversing, it wont even respond at an inclined area.

Gear was brought down once when the Drive wont work but the reverse was ok. Mechanic eventually serviced the valve body and it was ok for a while but Reverse was given issues. I eventually bought another valve body, some ring-looking parts were changed too (looks like clutches though am not sure) and vehicle worked well for a day and the reverse started misbehaving again and now jerks while changing in between gears .

Please what could be wrong?
I wish to change the gear but i cant afford it financial at the moment.

It there any advice i can get in terms of repair and what to change or work on?
Thanks in anticipation.

Mamas in the house.
Please, wifey is 37weeks gone and with some checkups and scan, baby was 3.3kg

She was feeling inconvovinience lately and with some Braxton Hicks i guess. So she was dilated and it was at 2CM 4 days ago. She later went for checkup earlier today and was still at 2CM dilation.

So the midwife suggested her using castro oil of which she did even before i knew about it (i was at work while she was at the hospital). She has been visiting toilet with some contractions as well this evening.

I am just a bit worried if everything is ok.

The reason she gave was baby been too big to push out vaginally before 40weeks

Is castro oil safe and will it even speed up birth in anyway?

Thanks

Mummies in the house
Good morning to you all.
Please i am confused on an issue and i know you are the only one that can actually help me.

My wife is 36 weeks pregnant and we are already prepared for Delivery with all items intact..
According to scans and checkup by the hospitals as well as that of my mother-in-law who happens to be a retired matron/midwife. We might likely have big baby (size of current baby in the womb is likely bigger than the expected) and the fact that baby might not come till 40weeks might be a little bit tough for the mother to deliver vaginally which calls for my little concern.

Firstly, we are ruling out CS, yeah i know it's safe these days but we are not subscribing for that.

Her mom gave us the option of Induction before 40weeks which is exactly why am here.

my fears and questions are...

My understanding about induction is that it is done when a baby wouldnt come after 40 weeks, can it be done earlier? (Lets say 37/38th week)

Has anyone here done anything like this before?

How safe is induction. Are there any risk involved?

Is it advisable?

Thanks in anticipation.
