Reports has it that Russian investigators claimed to have found household appliances imported from China which contained hidden microchips that pump spam data and malware into wi-fi networks. Authorities in St Petersburg allegedly discovered 20 to 30 kettles and irons with spy microchips that send some data to the foreign server.

The revelation comes just as the EU launches an investigation into claims that Russia itself bugged gifts to delegates at last month's G20 summit in an attempt to retrieve data from computers and telephones.
This has led to speculation that the chips allegedly found in the home appliances may also have the ability to steal data and send it back to Chinese servers.The allegations against the Chinese were made in St Petersburg news outlet Rosbalt, which quotes a source from customs broker Panimport but does not detail what data was being sent or to where.

According to The Register, which translated the article, it would be possible to build a malicious microchip - sometimes referred to as a spambot or spybot - small enough to hide in a kettle.
It also believes there are many readily available transformers which could be used to convert Russia's 220V electricty supply to power the chips without destroying them but it casts doubt on the report's claims that the devices were discovered because they were overweight as it is unlikely that the difference of a few grams would have been enough to raise suspicion.
This might only have happened if the appliances were air-freighted, it said, which was probably not the case because they were cheap items.

According to CNN, the Los Angeles County district attorney appears in no mood to cut C-Breezy any breaks, which has folk speculating that prosecutors will ask for jail time for him because of the arrest.Which could trigger a probation revocation. Chris is due in a Los Angeles court on November 20 for a probation status hearing. Prosecutors have declined to comment on if they will seek to put him behind bars.There has been no information as to where he’s headed to (for rehab) or how long he’ll be staying.

Fans got angry when they attended R. Kelly's show in Louisiana on Saturday night, October 26. The fans demanded refund after they claimed that the man who took the stage at the Monroe Civic Centre wasn't actually the star. Concertgoers, who paid $150 for each ticket, told local news station KNOE that the alleged impersonator took the stage at the venue three hours late. Wearing a hoodie, Bulls hat, and sunglasses, he then lip-synced for four minutes.


One anonymous female fan said, "The advertisement online through Ticketmaster said that it was a Ced's All Black Affair and R Kelly performing live, which did not happen last night."
"We was scammed because 10 o'clock we was there, no R. Kelly. 11 o'clock: no R Kelly, 12 o'clock: no R. Kelly, 12:45: no R. Kelly. 1 o'clock, here comes an impersonator," she continued. The female fan even claimed that she saw the same impersonator in a nearby restaurant earlier that day.

That night's event was promoted by Cedric Johnson. In a text message, which was sent to KNOE, Johnson said that he was "duped" and he would be refunding half of the concertgoers' money.
After initially agreeing to refund fans, Cedric Johnson has now taken back the offer, claiming he did not send the original message.

A representative for R. Kelly has commented on the news, telling Pitchfork that it was the real R. Kelly on the stage. The rep then noted that the event was billed as featuring an "appearance" from R Kelly, not as a full concert.

A teenager who killed herself after her parents banned her from Facebook left a note for a devastated family saying she couldn't live without the site. Aiswarya Dahiwal, a second year college student from Parbhani, in the Maharashtra state of India, had asked her parents for permission to log on to the site on Wednesday, but they said no. The teenager then got into an argument with the couple who told her that she should pay more attention to school work, and spend less time on Facebook.

The family also argued about Miss Dahiwal making long mobile phone calls to her friends. Her body was found on Thursday morning, and police said that she had hanged herself. A note found in Miss Dahiwal's bedroom said that she had taken her own life because she was not allowed to go on the social networking site. Police said that in the note the teenager had said that she couldn't stay in a home with the restrictions she felt she was being placed under, and that she couldn't live without Facebook.

Speaking the Wall Street Journal in India her father Sunil said the family was in 'deep shock' and that he 'never thought she would ever take such a harsh step.'A case of accidental death has been registered by Indian officials and an investigation is underway.
According to the Wall Street Journal, a recent survey found that nearly 92 percent of India's high school students prefer to use Facebook rather than make calls to communicate.

The Wall Street Journal also reported that 16,112 people killed themselves in the state last year, making it the state with the second highest suicide rate in the country.

Passing away surrounded by owners on October 17th, the blue Great Dane measured 43 inches tall from paw to shoulders and was able to stand seven-feet-three-inches tall on his hind legs.Weighing 245 pounds, George was in fact the runt of his litter when born but grew up to be recognized by Guinness World Records in 2010 not just as the World's Tallest Dog, but the Tallest Dog Ever.

The Hulkster did the parody to create a commercial to promote Hostamania.com, a web hosting company that the actor/entrepreneur has partnered with. The advertising campaign takes a cue from competitor GoDaddy.com but this one definitely grabs attention even without Hogan needing to strip down in the nude like Cyrus did.

At least unlike Cyrus, Hogan has a g-string on and his signature yellow tank top, head gear and knee-high boots in the one-minute, Daniel Jones-directed clip. He exposes just enough of his tanned skin that fans have already seen when the Hulkster was in the wrestling ring.

Hogan has had many business ventures and endorsements before his Hostamania stunt. Jay-Z recently kicked off his Magna Carta world tour in Manchester, England. Unfortunately, not everything went as smooth as he expected, as the rapper was caught messing up the lines of "No Church in the Wild", a collaboration with Kanye West and Frank Ocean.

Jay-Z was performing the track, which is featured in his and West's 2011 release "Watch the Throne".
It was all okay until he reached the lines that said, "Cocaine seats, all white like I got the whole thing bleached." Jay-Z forgot the "cocaine seats" part and subsequently lost his rhythm.

He also skipped several lines. Everything's back to normal when the hook, which is originally Ocean's part, kicked in.

During that night's show, Jay-Z performed about 30 songs, which were lifted from his records that included his latest one, "Magna Carta... Holy Grail". The husband of singer Beyonce Knowles also delivered the first ever live performance of "Pound Cake", his collaboration with Drake off the latter's "Nothing Was the Same" album.

According to Forbes list of highest-earning celebrity couples that was released yesterday, thursday September 19, Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles took the first spot with $95 million in earnings. The list, which was compiled by their team after speaking to managers, agents, producers and others, shows celebrity couples' estimated earnings from June 2012 through June 2013.

The second spot on the list is taken by Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen, who received total earnings of $80 million. Tom got $30 million signing bonus from the New England Patriots as he signed a new contract with the team and Gisele cashed in $42 million from her modeling work.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are on the third place with total earnings of $50 million. Brad's "World War Z" raked in $537 million at the global box office and the actress received large amount upfront for "Maleficent".
