You can clarify from your doctor or seek a second opinon. clomid is used to trick the body into thinking that estogen os low thereby producing more of of progesterone. I have never heard of it been used to increase progesterone. What my gynea do is to combine clomid and bromoscriptine in such a way as to achieve ovulation and produce enough progesterone.it is bromoscriptine that he would ask you to cut into and stagger it in such away as to achieve the desired hormone level.

A doctor prescribed clomid 25mg for me(i have to cut in half) to be taken for 20 days.
