Everything about Italy is delayed. I don't understand their bureaucracy. From embassy appointment, to the different applications inside the country itself. I got my nulla osta after 18 months

Good afternoon, please my husband applied for nulla osta through his lawyer for me since July 11 up to 3 month now, he has not receive the nulla osta . Advice on this please

Nulla osta takes up to a year before issuance, they will send a mail soon be patient

But its so hard to get appointment for legalization. I've been trying since April and they keep saying fully booked.
TLS also rejected my documents because they haven't been legalized.
How do i get them legalized before my nulla osta expires

What that means is you need to go to Abuja to authenticate these documents at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and make sure you get a remitta receipt once you complete these process. Then you’d translate these documents to Italian through the recommended translation companies (you can find these details on the Italian consulate website) ( Kindly note that you can go to any English-Italian translator for the translation provided the document is accurately translated.

After which you’d send a mail to the Italian consulate in Lagos that you’d like to book an appointment to legalize your documents ( lagos.consolare@esteri.it )

We applied in December 2022, received a mail in June 2023 to come for interview in March 2024, so basically it took about a year and 3 months

Oh wow! Congratulations on receiving your nulla osta! When did you apply for it? I've been waiting since November 2023 and haven't heard anything yet.

Since all your documents are authenticated, please email the consulate and explain why you need the legalization to be expedited.

Hello, my nulla osta was issued in march with a 6 months validity period. my marriage certificate had been authenticated in Abuja and also translated. But the Italian consulate are fully booked for appointments for legalization till July
And my tls visa appointment is in July, what can I do?
