I know of alpro soya, but i do not know if you can get it in nigeria. Alpro also have other vegetable based milk like rice milk and almond milk. So these can be substituted for soy milk if you can find.

You could also try goats milk, if you can find. I hear it can be tolerated better. Or any lactose free milk ( although both may not be readily available or may cost half a kidney and 2 fingers) Nigeria is really bad at providing options.

Also have you considered making your own soy milk? I have seen recipes online.

You could get the dry beans and make once a week if you have good electricity, it should last in the fridge, some recipes also flavour it with vanilla pods and other serenren.

Might be a bit more stressful than the already prepared one, but it may be an option to explore if you are having issues with your regular brand.

Budgets (including firs's) will be passed this week. The recruitment is finally coming to an end in a matter of few weeks (obviously less than a month). So many things have happened behind the scene. The national assembly finally had their way, which really altered many of the permutations. Some will enter based on merits, while others will come in through discretion. It has been a very long wait indeed. May Almighty Allah assist us.

In addition, it is no longer news that Fowler himself suspended the process on the grounds that the pressures from "above" are way too much (noting that he's not a typical politician) and the resources to manage the pressures are far too little (refering to the unapproved budget). He's vexed at some loudmouthed recruits who after being "fixed up somewhere within", go blowing their horns to the surprise and offence of the same politicians who he's trying to boycott. Furthermore, it is said that things are at a seeming standstill officially and operationally following that more office structures and training centres need to be put up in other states and the bulk of the supplied office equipment including computers in the store at the headquarters need to be deployed to these centres for the recruitment to be orderly but will things really follow this order? I doubt. But ofcourse, alot is going on underground, as quoted above, much to the unawaredness of anyone and everyone, even the Directors. May God help us.

Please house permit me to share a piece of info hence we are allowed to share any info we gathered. No one should lash at me please. I just called a right source now and I was told it is strictly senator's list and the normal public list will come differently. He also said that most if them in that list if not all if them have gotten the job. I think their appointment letters are already . Note: my name is not in the list. No insults oooo abeg.

I hope those who are saying DPR and FCSC are ready to send out SMS/emails are not saying so from what they picked up from Nairaland, that its truly information frm the respective quatetrs. remember how it was speculated here that FIRS will send out IV by January, then February, and still nothing. just saying

From my uncle working with them,
The delay in recruitment exercise is due to 2 factors;
1. Low IGR generation: the salary and allowances of the FIRS staffs is paid from percentage of their IGR generated. Since the IGR has reduced, the money left for payment of salary has reduced.
2. The FIRS staffs did promotional exam which will lead to increase in their salary. Until when their promotion is being effected, no further processig can be done on the recruitment exercise.

I don't believe in talking too much. Note the following and ask no further questions please. FIRS did recruitment in November and December 2016. All such staff are already on duty across states in Nigeria. It is for the selected highly connected. The next recruitment you guys are waiting for will form part of 2017 budget and not the 2016 some of you are waiting for. Hopefully the budget for 2017 will be approve before July 2017. For now the Firs is considering the recruitment for July 2017. This also is subject to change. How do I know all these? From the office of the------. I got a part there.

To the best of my knowledge, promotion was done in December last year. The last communication our contact had with FIRS when we complained that some people had resume was to the effect that offer letter will come out on or before 31st. I strongly believe it may be true cos of the encounter my colleague had with them around 4th of this month. Lets just keep our fingers crossed and scoop for every information. Nothing is impossible in this country but i personally believe the recruitment will never be that long.
