A nurse who was nabbed with a newborn baby boy outside the premises of the hospital where she works, was confronted by passersby who accused her of stealing the baby.

In a video, the nurse was seen standing by the side of the road, carrying a newborn baby boy with the placenta still intact. She claimed she was waiting for the woman who owns the baby.

However, bystanders didn’t believe her. They asked her to call the woman who gave birth to the baby on the phone, adding that they will not let her go until they see the woman she claims is the baby’s mother.

The spectators told her she stole the baby from the hospital and wants to sell it. But she insisted that she didn’t.

The man filming is heard saying that the nurse has no right to take a newborn baby out of the hospital compound and the only explanation for the nurse’s action is that she plans to sell the child.

When interrogated, the nurse said she works at Mother of Mercy Hospital & Maternity Okpoko.
Eyewitnesses claim she was on her way to sell the baby at Upper Iweka by Owerri Road in Onitsha.

Eyewitnesses warned that parents of newborns should be extra vigilant to avoid a situation whereby they are told that their baby has died, whereas the baby was stolen to be sold to a child trafficking ring.

A therapy dog named Moose has bagged an honorary degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Virginia Tech’s College of Veterinary Medicine, class of 2020.

As a tradition in most universities, when graduation ceremonies are celebrated, honorary degrees are given to deserving individuals.

This year’s graduation at the Virginia Tech’s College of Veterinary Medicine was unique and different as a very good boy, Moose was enlisted among intellectuals who were honored.

According CNN’s report, Moose has been with Virginia Tech since 2014, and is one of the school’s four therapy animals and ambassadors for mental health awareness.
Moose helps students cope with anxiety, trauma and other mental health issues. He has also helped thousands of students and assisted in more than 7,500 counseling sessions, according to his owner, licensed counselor Trent Davis.
Davis launched the school’s animal-assisted therapy program to help provide students with another form of comfort.
“Some humans haven’t had the best experience with other humans, or even other dogs. In both those cases, Moose provides a very safe and comforting force in the room,” Davis reportedly told CNN.
“These students see Moose as someone who’s going to accept them. They don’t worry about him judging them” he continued.
While the Covid-19 inspired pandemic has made it difficult for students to visit Moose and the other dogs for therapy sessions, Davis said the center now offers regular open office hours virtually, for one hour three days a week.
Four of the school’s therapy dogs are beloved by the student body, but Moose, who had received Virginia Veterinary Medical Association’s Animal Hero Award in 2019, is quite special.
“The students here talk a lot about how Moose has broken down the stigma around mental health care on campus,” Davis reportedly said.
“Veterinarians unfortunately have high rates of suicide, and this profession can be quite disturbing. He has really helped the students and staff at Virginia Tech and has gotten a lot of recognition for that.” Davis revealed.
He recalled how Moose was diagnosed with prostate cancer and underwent radiation treatments.

A Nigerian man identified as Wisdom Obi-Eze has narrated how SARS officials tried to extort money from him for using an iPhone X.

Wisdom Obi-Eze stated that he was arrested by SARS officials after they broke into his house at 2:00 am for buying an iPhone X. He added that the officials demanded N500,000 which he couldn’t afford.

He wrote;

SARS officers trying to extort money from me in Suleja Niger state.

Last week Monday the SARS officers came to my house by 9pm to arrest me that I bought an iPhone X I was shocked because buying an iPhone is not a crime in Nigeria. After breaking the door they decided to negotiate and they were demanding 500,000 that night. I couldn’t afford it so I suggested we return my phone back to the buyer so i could collect back the same amount i bought it. They agreed and i was locked up in the police cell for the night in A’ division in suleja. … The next morning by exactly 7am, the SARS officers brought me out of the cell so I could contact the store where I bought the phone so I could inform them that I was coming to get back my money which I did.

A few minutes later my parents informed the SARS officers that they were coming with a lawyer and they should sell my phone.
The officers panicked and were all trying to avoid involving a lawyer. When the lawyer arrived the officers pleaded and I was released before noon.

At the early hours of this morning at about 1am, a couple of armed men came to my house and were trying to arrest me again this time they didn’t claim to be SARS officers all they said was that they were from Abuja with no ID card or arrest warrant insisting that I must be arrested and when my parents refused, they broker the door and started beating my entire family. .

I refused to go with they them so it ended in ally of beating and they handcuffed one of my hands and I refused letting them handcuff both hands. It was a horrifying experience. We called the police station and the SARS officers from the previous setup came and identified those men as officer but they didn’t say if they were from the police or SARS or any other paramilitary.
I managed to escape with one of the handcuff. They all left around 4am.

A nurse has been declared wanted by the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives’ Association after she was captured in a video twerking in uniform while on duty.

The video sparked outrage online as many people condemned her for disrespecting the uniform and profession.

The video later got the attention of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) and they directed all District and Regional Executives to assist in identifying the nurse so that she can be disciplined.

They warned other nurses to desist from such “unacceptable behaviour especially when in uniform in order to protect the dignity of the profession.”

Raw food and relief items were provided to the semi-urban community’s households as part of their relief efforts, and at the forefront of these efforts are a deep concern and care for their communities.

The joy on the faces of members of the community was a common theme throughout the hours long outreach. More than 20 volunteers gave up hours of their time to enrich the lives of Nigerians and this is something worth applauding.

A Nigerian man on Facebook, Kosi Ugo has advised his fellow men to conduct DNA tests for their kids, following an offer he recently received.

Kosi Ugo DNAAccording to him, a newly married woman offered him 3 million naira last year to impregnant her, saying she doesn’t want her kids to take after her husband.

“Last year, a newly married woman offered me 3 million naira to impregnate her.

According to her, she didn’t want her children to take her husband genes, because he was short, bald and his family had traces of ancestral madness.

Dear men;

You don’t need to inform your wife – just take strands of your children’s hair while they are asleep and present them at the hospital.
