NCDC has confirmed 10 new cases of Coronavirus in Lagos, Edo and Abuja by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

As at 11:15am on April 5, there are 224 confirmed cases of Coronavirus reported in Nigeria. Twenty-seven patients have been discharged, and five deaths have been recorded.
A breakdown of Coronavirus cases across diferent states in the country is as follows; Lagos- 115, FCT- 45, Osun- 20, Oyo- 9, Akwa Ibom- 5, Ogun- 4, Edo- 9, Kaduna- 4, Bauchi- 6, Enugu- 2, Ekiti- 2, Rivers-1, Benue- 1 Ondo-1

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami has disclosed that no licence has been issued for 5G in Nigeria.

In a statement released on Saturday April 4 to counter rumors circulating on social media that 5G technology causes Coronavirus, Pantami stated that the Buhari-led administration will never seek technological advancement at the expense of the health and welfare of its citizens.

Police have apprehended a 29-yr-old serial car thief, Joseph Femi who has a key that can open almost any varagon vehicle in Lagos.

Femi, was working as a commercial bus driver before he was apprehended, boasted to have a key that could disconnect any security lock in such buses.

His work as a commercial bus driver was an added advantage as it makes it easier for him to get ready buyers, within two hours after stealing the buses.

The donations to combat Coronavirus in Nigeria has hit N15bn as confirmed in a statement released by the Director of Corporate Communications at the Central Bank of Nigeria, Isaac Okorafor, on Wednesday April 1, 2020.

The donations which came from individuals, banks and other corporate bodies were paid into an account set up at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) under the auspices of the Private Sector Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID).

Donations to combat Coronavirus in Nigeria hits N15bn A breakdown of the contributions showed that the Central Bank of Nigeria and Aliko Dangote donated N2billion each, while Abdul Samad Rabiu (Bua Sugar Refinery); Segun Agbaje (GTB); Tony Elumelu (UBA); Oba Otudeko (First Bank); Jim Ovia (Zenith Bank); Herbert Wigwe (Access Bank) and Femi Otedola of Amperion Power Distribution donated N1 Billion each to the relief fund.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed four new cases of the pandemic coronavirus in the country.

NCDC reported that, two of the new cases are 3 in the FCT and 1 in lagos making a total of 139.

The NCDC took this to their official twitter page at 8:00pm on the 31st of March.

Ekiti state Government has announced that the only Coronavirus index case recorded in the state had recovered.

The state Commissioner for Health, Dr Mojisola Yaya-Kolade, while briefing newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, said that the index case, who had been in isolation, was discharged after he had fully recovered.
Yaya-Kolade said, “He has now tested negative. Everything is normal; we cannot continue to keep him.

“What we told him was that when he gets home, he should still self-isolate and that if he is going out, he should wear face mask.”

The commissioner also added that all the contacts, who were still in isolation, would remain there for the prescribed 14 days, adding, that all of them were stable and without any symptom.

The female caregiver of the late American, who had been in isolation, had also undergone tests for three times and that she was negative,Yaya-Kolade added

According to the Nigeria Centre for disease control(NCDC) 20 new cases of coronavirus have just been confirmed.

The NCDC took their official twitter page to announce as they gave the break down of states where the new cases were confirmed.

Lagos remains the state with the highest number of coronavirus cases,as 13 new cases were confirmed in the south western state.

A twitter user identified as Kelvin Odanz tweeted: “Sydney Talker tested positive for Coronavirus and recovered in less than 48 hours, the fastest recovery from the virus ever recorded. Why are we not talking about this landmark achievement?
And btw, who tested him to confirm that he is positive for Coronavirus? Because it was obviously not the NCDC.

After we find out who tested him, can we then go back and appreciate the speed of his recovery?

His immune system is the immune system other immune systems want to copy.

We need to interview that young champ and find out exactly how he managed to recover?

Did he take any special drugs? Did he eat any special food (maybe swallowed clout)?

The Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has stated that there will no longer be any curfew in the state.
This came just few hours after he annouced a curfew which was to start on sunday.
The curfew had been planned by the government to allow the fumigation exercise of public space.

Following on experts advice, Sanwo-olu said the disinfectant is non toxic, noting that the exercise has commenced.

He said:

“I am pleased to note that we have taken possession of over 200 disinfecting machines, and starting today, we will be disinfecting all major highways, bus stops, markets, parks and other public areas.”

The Governor also said during a live press conference that if there is a need for curfew, government will not hesitate to impose it.

Nigeria’s coronavirus cases as now increased to 44 after confirmation of two new cases This was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC)

One is in Bauchi state while one is in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported that there are two new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria.

Meanwhile,as at 1:00 pm today the cases of coronavirus was 42.

The NCDC via its official Twitter account on Tuesday, March 23, revealed that one case is from Bauchi state while the other one is from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja bringing the total number of cases to 44.

A student of University of Ibadan has taken to Twitter to cry out for help as he disclosed that he has been feeling symptoms of the deadly coronavirus and there is no one to help him out

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced late on Monday, March 23, 2020 that three of the new cases were recorded in Lagos, and one in the Federal Capital Territory.

Nigeria has confirmed four new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country, raising the country’s total tally to 40.
Positive cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have been recorded in six states [NCDC]“Two of these cases are returning travellers,” the NCDC announced.
